In the Emerald Apartment.

After washing the dishes, Grace spent some time with the children. The two little guys knew how to entertain themselves, so they were not attached to her at all.

She left and the children were soon playing games with each other.

"Coffee or tea?" Grace asked Heinz, who was sitting on the sofa, with a smile.

The tall man on the couch raised his eyes, looked at her, and said, "Coffee!"

"There's no coffee left," said Grace as she shrugged her shoulders.

Heinz was dumbfounded. "Then why did you ask me?" he asked in a helpless tone.

"I just suddenly remembered that there's no coffee."

"Grace!" Heinz thought of the pot of coffee she had previously made at Tyler's and felt very jealous. "When do you want to move in with me? I have everything we need there, we can drink whatever we want."

Grace raised her eyebrows and said, "Am I the kind of person who would be tempted by a mere drink?"

Heinz was stunned. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Then do it for me. Come with me."

Looking at him, she smiled slightly and said, "Heinz, let's wait until you trust me completely."

When that happens, she would move to his place.

Heinz was stunned. After all, he had been involved in many business deals over the past years. He could easily tell that Grace had a hidden meaning beneath the words she had just said. Heinz felt that her words were rather frosty.

"But, what does that mean?" Heinz asked himself.

Was he thinking too much, or did Grace know something?

He was not being completely truthful in their relationship. For the moment, Grace could partly overlook that. However, to completely resolve the matter, it would require Heinz to open up his heart. After all, Jodie had already passed away.

Grace looked at Heinz with a gentle smile.

Heinz was frozen. He said softly, "Do you think I don't trust you?"

"Yeah," admitted Grace frankly with a smile, "I think, you don't trust me completely. I am a woman, and my sixth sense is pretty accurate."

The sixth sense?

Was she just suspecting him? Did she really know something?

Heinz looked at Grace doubtfully and quickly came to his senses. He said, "I trust you very much. If you say I don't trust you completely, that may be correct too. I am afraid that if you know that I am not a perfect man, you will immediately run away and ignore me. After all, I am very worried."

Grace smiled again and said, "But I am not a perfect woman."

"You're fine," Heinz shook his head and said seriously. "Grace, I don't want to lose you."

Grace looked at Heinz. The meaning behind his words was profound as well.

She nodded, saying, "Heinz, as long as it does not contradict my morals, I will not leave you."

"I think that we have gone through a lot, and we have Little Gary too. We will all work hard to face the problem together and solve it!"

Heinz nodded, got up and held Grace in his arms, sighing.

Grace thought that Heinz had sighed because he was still hiding the truth about Jodie's parents.

"I'm going to make tea," Grace patted him on the back, indicating that he should let go of her.

Heinz nodded and let go of her.

The two of them drank a pot of fragrant tea. The aroma of the tea filled the room, making it extremely warm.

The next day.

After sending the children away in the morning, Grace went to the newspaper office. At noon, she had a task. When she went out, she also found a chance to meet Jensen.

It just so happened that Jensen was at work.

When she went to replace Jensen, Jensen was just about to have lunch. When Jensen received a phone call from Grace, he was very surprised. "Grace, why do you want to meet me?." "There's something I want to talk to you about." Grace said, "Do you have time? 40 minutes. I'll treat you to a meal."

"I'm free," Jensen said. "Let me treat you. Let's go."

They went to a restaurant opposite the police station and found a seat by the window.

After sitting down and making their orders, Jensen couldn't help but ask, "Do you want to talk about Alice?"

"No!" Grace shook his head. "I want to talk about Jodie."

Jensen, who had been taking a sip of water, spat it out.

"Sorry, sorry," muttered Jensen as he wiped his mouth and looked at Grace with a stunned face.

Jensen didn't know how to start the conversation. He could only look at Grace dumbfounded.

"What the hell is going on?" Jensen was shocked.

Grace smiled and said, "You don't have to worry, and you don't have to be afraid."

"No, you. How do you know that?" Jensen asked.

"I accompanied the chief editor to the cemetery and met Heinz. He did not see me, but he confessed to the death of his former girlfriend. I think Jodie Lawson is his ex-girlfriend," said Grace, before she continued. "Mr. Lawson, lying in the hospital, are the parents of his ex-girlfriend."

Jensen really admired Grace's calmness. Jensen was caught off guard by Grace's straightforwardness.

"Grace," Jensen hesitated and said, "Heinz values comradeship and loyalty. He didn't tell you because he was afraid that you—"

"I know he didn't tell me because he was afraid that I would be angry," Grace said. "I don't intend to leave him."

"Then what are you up to?" Jensen looked at Grace in surprise. For a moment, he could not figure out why Grace came to him.

"I want to know how Jodie passed away."

Jensen was stunned and breathed a sigh of relief. He said, "We are not very clear about that."

"In fact, Jodie died abroad. Six years ago, she insisted on going overseas as a volunteer. She was a doctor and a proud student of Chief Stone."

"She was a very clever person but she was kidnapped by bandits after three months while she was there."

Grace was stunned.

"In the end, Jodie was beheaded," Jensen closed his eyes. "It was cruel."

Grace took a cold breath.

"We have seen the video. Up to now, her body has not been returned, and the graveyard is only a cenotaph.

When Uncle Lawson received the news, he couldn't take it.

Heinz shouldered the responsibility of taking care of them.

All these years, both Mr. and Mrs. Lawson were depressed. They would have ended their lives if not for him. Jodie was their only daughter."

Grace lowered her eyes and said softly, "I see. Thank you for telling me this."

Jensen said, "You really won't leave Heinz because of this, will you?"

"No," Grace shook her head. "But don't tell him that I've come to ask you about it."

"I won't tell," Jensen promised. "But you must guarantee that you can't leave Heinz because of this. It would be too cruel to him."

"What he did was very righteous," Grace smiled. "I won't fight with a dead person."

"That's good. Please take care of yourself. You really are a generous woman."

"Oh, no." Grace shook his head and said, "If Jodie was still alive, I won't be able to tolerate it."

Jensen nodded, "Thank you on behalf of Heinz."

"It's Heinz's honor to have a friend like you," said Grace with a smile. Then, she changed the subject, asking, "How are things going with Alice?"

"Not bad," Jensen said. "She is very good. Simple, beautiful, enthusiastic, and righteous." "Yeah, that's my sister," Grace said. "Officer Charm, don't let her down!"
