"I won't," Jensen promised carefully, "Grace, Alice is really nice. If you get to know her better, you'll understand that she's a lovely, simple and caring girl."

As Grace listened to Jensen, she knew that he was getting close to Alice.

Grace nodded smilingly.

Jensen grinned too. "Just leave her to me."

"Officer Charm," Grace said sincerely, "I know that you are a good guy and I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about my sister."

Jensen was extremely worried as well when he heard Grace.

Jensen's face darkened. "I know, I'm worried too. It's up to us but I believe that everything will get better. When the time is right and our relationship stabilizes, I will confess everything to her." "Yeah." Grace nodded. She picked up the cup and took a sip of tea.

They had lunch together but they ate quickly because they had work in the afternoon. After finishing lunch, they exited the restaurant together.

Jensen offered Grace, "Public transport will take a long time. Let me send you back."

"You don't have too. You must be musy with work," Grace replied, "I'll just take the bus."

"It won't take more than fifteen minutes." Jensen insisted on sending her home. "Let's go, I'll drop you off. I wouldn't be worried and it'll be easier to explain to Heinz too."

"Alright," Grace finally nodded and answered gratefully, "Thanks."

The two of them walked to the police station together.

Meanwhile, Alice just arrived at the police station. Initially, she was there to do a market survey. After completing the survey, there was nothing for her to do in the afternoon. Jensen was working nearby, hence she decided to drop by.

As soon as Alice arrived, she spotted Jensen and Grace chatting happily as they came out from a restaurant.

Alice immediately furrowed her eyebrows. What was going on?

Previously, she always felt like her sister and Jensen were sharing secrets but she did not know what was going on. Now, she found it strange that they came out of the restaurant together. Alice could not figure out what happened.

Alice stared at them from where she was. Naturally, she did not believe that her sister was having an affair with Jensen. She was just curious about what her sister was discussing with Jensen. Alice hesitated for a moment and decided to show herself.

Alice walked towards Jensen and Grace.

"Sister!" Alice yelled in a distance.

Grace instantly looked up and was surprised to see Alice.

Jensen was taken aback too. He smiled and walked towards Alice swiftly. Jensen asked joyfully, "What brings you here?"

Alice's heart was relieved when she noticed Jensen's calm looks. She explained, "I had something to do nearby, so I came to see you."

"Have you had your lunch?" Jensen asked.

"I ate a meat pie," Alice replied.

Jensen immediately nagged in distress, "Are you even full? You should have called me. I just had lunch at the restaurant with Grace. It's something simple but it's better than just having a pie!" Alice felt at ease. It seemed that it was not a big deal because Jensen was not hiding anything from her.

Alice uttered, "I didn't intend to come here. I just decided to try my luck and I didn't expect to bump into you and my sister."

Grace smiled when she spotted her sister and explained, "I came to ask Officer Charm about Heinz."

Alice immediately asked perceptively, "Sister, what's the matter with Heinz?"

Jensen turned to Grace instantly.

Jensen dared not speak before Grace spoke.

Grace answered, "It's about his godparents."

"Oh." Alice nodded and eyed Jensen suspiciously.

She noticed that Jensen was a little nervous and he kept checking on Grace.

Grace concluded, "Officer Charm, I'll just hail a taxi, so you don't have to drop me off. You should chat with Alice. I'll leave now!"

"Sister, let Jensen drop you off." Alice grabbed Grace's arm.

Grace patted Alice's hand and reassured, "Don't worry, it's convenient for me to take a taxi. You two should spend some time together." "But..." Alice intended to persuade Grace.

"Officer Charm is going to work soon and you won't have much time with him. I'm going to be late too." Grace smiled upon finishing and turned to leave. Alice sighed after watching Grace hail a taxi and left. Subsequently, she frowned at Jensen quietly and stared at him sharply.

Alice's gaze immediately made Jensen feel guilty.

However, Jensen knew Alice's character.

If Alice knew that Heinz was supporting his exgirlfriend's parents and even calling them 'Mom' and 'Dad', Alice would probably never let it slide.

After all, Alice was so protective of Grace.

"What's wrong?" Jensen took Alice's hands and asked softly, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You were having lunch with my sister." Alice came to her senses and found it odd. "She talked to you about Heinz's godparents?"

Jensen nodded and turned to stare at the road. He realized that Alice was glaring at him when he turned to her again.

Jensen immediately chuckled. "What's wrong?"

"Why would you talk about Heinz's godparents?" Alice felt that there was no need for Grace to have a private chat with Jensen behind Heinz's back. Was there something else she did not know? "Recently, his godfather was hospitalized." Jensen pondered for a moment, he was racking his brain to come up with a believable explanation.

"What's wrong?" Alice asked.

"Disease that comes with age," Jensen replied, "It's very serious and he had a craniotomy."

"Oh my, that's very serious."

"Grace is Heinz's girlfriend. It's normal for your sister to care about his godparents, right?" Jensen asked smilingly.

"Yeah," Alice replied, "I just don't quite understand why she had to ask you about it behind Heinz's back."

"Heinz didn't have the time to tell Grace, so she asked me. She had only been here for fifty minutes and it took us half an hour to eat!" "I'm not doubting you," Alice explained, "I'm worried about my sister. I'm afraid that Heinz would lie to her."

Jensen was shocked but his face remained unchanged. He chuckled, "You just have no confidence in Heinz but Grace has completely accepted him. Besides, they have Little Gary too."

"You won't understand," Alice sighed, "Most people wouldn't be able to empathize with what my sister went through. I only know bits and pieces of it and

no one knew the real pain she suffered."

Jensen was baffled. He asked curiously, "What kind of pain did your sister experience?"

Alice glanced at Jensen and sighed, "Forget it, I don't want to bring up sad stuff. My sister would certainly want to avoid mentioning it."

She felt a pang of pain in her heart at the thought of the child Grace lost.

Jensen was confused. "I know how hard it is to raise a child. It requires a lot of courage to conceive a baby before getting married."

Alice smiled bitterly. "Grace had nothing when she was kicked out of the house. Being pregnant out of wedlock made her drop out of school to raise her child. I can't even describe the hardship she went through and only those who experienced it could understand."

Jensen reached out to hold Alice's shoulders and held her in his arms.

Meanwhile, two sneaky individuals were standing at the end of the road.

"Look carefully, that girl is Jensen's woman. She's a student."
