True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 585
"Mr. Jones, please help me." Eva did not dare to move as she laid there motionless. The rose bushes were dense, thick and filled with thorns. The slightest movement would only make her hurt even more. "I won't save you," Heinz refused.
"You, if you don't save me, I'll call the cops. I will tell them that it was you who hurt me," Eva immediately threatened.
Heinz chuckled and said, "Well, go ahead, but you'll need to have evidence. Otherwise, I'll sue you."
Eva gritted her teeth and said, "My whole family witnessed you scaring me. If you hadn't done that, I wouldn't have fallen into the flower bed and gotten injured."
"Your whole family?" Heinz glanced around. There wasn't a trace of anyone around them at the moment. The driver, butler and one of the servants had gone to the hospital.
Now there was only one person left, guarding the door. It was a kind-looking old man.
Heinz smiled at the man and beckoned for him to come over.
The old man came over and saw Heinz. He only knew that he was Zachary's friend, so he was very polite to him.
"Sir, you called?"
"Yes, what's your name?" Heinz asked.
"My name is Hodge Lowe. Master Lowe is the one who took me in. As my health is not the best, Master Lowe only lets me guard the door." This old man guarding the door was truly very polite.
Heinz immediately saw Hodge's gratitude towards Maxim, as well as the disgust and contempt towards Eva in his eyes.
Heinz was a businessman, and he could tell what was going on at a glance.
He smiled and said politely, "Hodge, what did you just see?"
Hodge paused, then turned to look at Heinz. For a moment, he did not understand what he was trying to say.
Meanwhile, Eva had heard Hodge's voice and immediately called out, "Hodge, help me up quickly."
Heinz raised an eyebrow at him.
Hodge said, "Miss Eva, I'm getting old and I'm not in good health. I fear that I don't have the strength to help you up. If I let you slip, you'll be hurt even more."
Eva immediately shouted, "If you don't even try, how would you know that you can't help me up? Besides, you're not that old!"
"Miss Eva, I really can't take the risk," Hodge answered. "I'll replace someone to save you. Hold on."
"No, no." Eva had never suffered this kind of torment. She couldn't stand it anymore. "Hurry up and save me. Heinz is trying to hurt me!"
"Hurt you?" Hodge asked in surprise, "Miss Eva, I
don't see anyone who's trying to hurt you."
"It's the person who spoke to you. He's the one who did!"
"Hodge," Heinz started. "You saw just now that she smashed the urn. I didn't have any physical contact with her. You have to help me testify about what she said."
"Yes." Hodge nodded. "1 really didn't see you hurting Miss Eva. Master Lowe took me in, so I should be righteous. Although Miss Eva is his daughter, he was so angry today that he vomited blood. Whoever hurts Master Lowe is my enemy."
Hodge held his stance as he said that.
He would not help Eva.
Eva immediately began to scold him furiously, "Hodge, you old b*stard, you're betraying me. You didn't save me, but instead teamed up with outsiders to hurt me. Just wait and see, I won't let you go." Hodge looked at Eva, who was lying in the rose bushes, and felt disgusted.
He no longer paid any attention to her, giving her a final glance before turning to Heinz politely.
"I'll go and guard the door first," Hodge said.
Heinz smiled and nodded. "Hodge, thank you. When the police come, you just need to tell the truth."
"Don't worry," Hodge replied. "I'm here to guard the door for Master Lowe. I don't serve anyone else. I'll tell the truth." "Thank you." Heinz gave a Hodge a salute. Hodge nodded.
Alex had already returned. Soon, he arrived at the flower bed and gave Heinz a small bottle.
Heinz silently took it and opened it. There was some sticky liquid inside; it was honey.
He directly poured it onto Eva's body and turned to look at Alex.
Alex took away the empty bottle quietly.
The entire process happened very quickly without a single word.
The roses in the flower bed were still blooming. There were a few bees buzzing around them to pick pollen. As soon as the honey was spilled, the bees flew in its direction right away. Heinz jumped down from the flower bed and walked further away.
Alex lowered his voice and said, "President Jones, this is the honey I got from the beehive next door. I'm sure the bees will come after they smell it." Heinz smiled and said, "Beautifully done."
Alex was embarrassed. "President Jones, you're too kind." "I'll give you a bonus when we get back." Heinz looked at Eva calmly.
Meanwhile, there were more and more bees gathering around Eva.
She was still lying in the flower bed, cursing that no one was willing to save her. She could not hold on any longer and she struggled to pick herself up. "You're all b*stards. How dare you treat me like this?
I will never let any of you go."
As she was struggling to get up, dozens of bees flew towards her.
Eva was shocked and reached out to fan them away, unexpectedly hitting one of bees in the process. In the next second, it suddenly flew downwards.
It flew straight for her face and all the other bees followed. Her face had already been scratched by the thorns, and the bees gripped onto her face and her exposed wounds.
"Ah!" After finally struggling to her feet, Eva didn't expect to suffer something like this again. Even the bees were bullying her.
She screamed and fell backwards and this time, she laid on her back on the bed of roses.
The thorns pierced deeply into her skin from all around.
"It hurts so much. Save me!"
Heinz walked towards the door. When he arrived at the door of the guard room, he told Alex, "Go to the trunk and get a cigarette for Hodge."
"Yes!" Alex hurried to the car.
Heinz entered Hodge's guard room.
Hodge stood up immediately.
"Hodge!"
Hodge nodded and took a look at Eva, who was shouting in the flower bed in the garden. He sighed and said, "I'm sorry for all the trouble. The well-known Master Lowe raised his four children on his own, but only had one good son who was Mr. Philip. Unfortunately, he died at a young age."
Heinz was stunned and asked in surprise, "Have you been with the Lowe family for a long time?"
"It has been over forty years," Hodge replied. "I worked at the Lowe family's shop before this, but I was in poor health so Master Lowe has asked me to come here. Over the years, I've seen enough of these three kids' terrible attitude."
Heinz nodded and said, "You've been here for so many years, and you understand the Lowe family."
"Of course. Master Lowe is bad-tempered but kind-hearted." Hodge's gratitude to Master Lowe ran deep. He sighed and said, "If Mr. Philip was still alive, the Lowe family wouldn't be like this!"
"Mr. Philip must have been exhausted to death by them, wasn't he?" Heinz had read some of the news reports.
Hodge nodded and said, "That's right. You are a friend of Young Master Zachary. Now that Young Master Zachary has finally become tough, please help me to persuade him to come back. Other than Master Lowe, nobody else in the Lowe family matters. They are all useless."
