True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 620
The lawyer read the will in public.
"Mr. Zachary, this is the will Master Lowe made earlier. Last night, he confirmed it with me again. All the shares of the Lowe Group were given to you. The eldest son only has 3% of the shares, the eldest daughter has 3%, and the second son who has been drifting outside has 3% too. The rest will be decided by you, Mr. Zachary, and it is up to you to donate or manage it however you wish."
"The ancestral home of the Lowe Family and the forest of trees left behind by the ancestors will be inherited by both you and your mother, Nerissa."
"The two villas in the western suburbs will each be inherited by Grace and Alice respectively. The Old Master also gave some antiques to Miss Smith."
"If there is no objection, then please sign on it, all of you."
Donald shouted at once, "No! How come we only get 3% of the total shares?"
The lawyer looked at Donald calmly. "Mr. Lowe, that's how your father had arranged it and he said that if anyone disagrees with the will, then they can give up on the inheritance and there will be nothing." Donald was stunned. "I don't believe it. That's so cruel."
The lawyer smiled lightly, took the pen and said to him, "Mr. Lowe, the Old Master said that after raising you all for so many years, he has done his best to support all of you. He doesn't owe you anything, but he would give you 3%. If you all cooperate with Mr. Zachary, then maybe he won't let you starve to death. But if you all couldn't cooperate, then Mr. Zachary will do things on his own basis."
Donald complained, "Zachary, your grandfather is too biased. Our eldest brother and second sister won't agree too."
Zachary said to him, "If you want it, then I could give it all to you." He then said to the lawyer, "I could also hand it over to them."
"Master Lowe said, if you really don't want it, then donate it!"
Upon hearing this, Donald instantly burst into an uproar. He looked at the others with astonishment and couldn't help but say, "This will mean that my father would rather donate all his shares rather than let us, the three siblings inherit them, right?"
The lawyer nodded. "Yes, that was Mr. Lowe's request."
Donald shook his head in shock and disbelief. "That's impossible."
The lawyer explained again, "He said that if the three of you have any objections, then you won't even get the 3%. They will all be inherited by Mr. Zachary. If Mr. Lowe doesn't want it, then you all can't get the shares too. All these shares will be donated. Based on the Lowe Group's situation, it's been managed very poorly.
"But the price of the 3% shares would also generate a high income as well. As for how it's going to be, you all can decide it for yourselves."
The lawyer clearly expressed to Donald that he had to accept it, even if he didn't want to.
Donald immediately said, "I doubt it. I doubt the authenticity of this will."
The lawyer was very calm and said, "You have the right to do so. We made this will according to the law. If you have any doubts, you can go ahead and sue us, but Mr. Lowe, if you fail to prove your case, you wouldn't even be able to get 3% of the shares."
That sentence smashed right into Donald's heart.
The lawyer said again, "If all of you don't have any objections, please sign it. After signing it, I still have to go to the detention center for
Charles and Eva to do the same."
Zachary was the first to take out his pen and sign his name.
Grace looked at Alice.
Alice shook her head. "Grace, we don't want anything related to him."
Alice said, "Give them all to my cousin." Grace agreed with her.
"Yes!"
The two sisters quickly said to the lawyer, "Sir, we don't want all these things. We will hand all of them over to our cousin, Mr. Zachary."
The lawyer was stunned. "Then you would still have to sign it first and wait for the formalities to be completed."
Grace and Alice also signed.
Donald had no choice but to sign it too.
That night, Lester came back to report to Heinz, "President, the lawyer of the Lowe family has already gone to the detention center for Charles and Eva to sign the will."
"Eva had recovered a little of her senses, but she also looked like she was frightened. She can't bear the slightest sign of disturbance. Even a little loud noise would make her think that it was a ghost." Heinz raised his eyebrows sharply. "Will she end up in jail?"
Lester nodded. "When she's slightly stabilized, she'll be sued. At that time, she'll have to go to jail even if it's against her wishes. The kidnapping case is not a small issue. She'll have to go to jail for a while even with the lightest sentence possible."
Heinz said in a deep voice, "Let her stay in there for a while! If she doesn't suffer, she will just be an old woman who never grows up."
Grace asked Lester, "With regards to the will, did she sign it?"
Lester immediately nodded. "She signed it. She wanted to come out and didn't want to be inside for another moment. No matter what its contents were, she was willing to sign." Grace asked again, "What about Charles?"
"Charles, that old rascal. Yesterday, he threw a tantrum in the detention centre, but today, he was more reasonable. When the lawyer went there, he looked at the will for a while, sighed, but still signed on it." "He was delighted." Grace was very surprised. "I thought he would at least make some trouble."
Heinz said in a low voice, "He wouldn't dare! The Old Master had made such a will and handed almost all his shares to Zachary. He wanted to keep the Lowe Group safe and he didn't want all his efforts in this life to go to waste."
Grace was stunned, not quite understanding what Heinz meant.
"The Old Master is very clear that with Charles' ability, he can't carry the Lowe Group forward, especially now that Lowe Group is in a pinch. Only when Zachary takes over will the business prosper. In terms of internal strength, Zachary could revive the Lowe Group. The 3% of the shares were enough to ensure that the Old Master's three children could live without worries."
"He's scheming against my cousin." It was only then that Grace understood Heinz's analysis.
Heinz looked at Grace and said, "This plot is good. It was given much thought. It would be a pity if the Lowe Group is ruined. What will happen to those employees?"
Grace was stunned again. Then, she came to a realization.
Those employees all added up to thousands of families.
Heinz looked at Grace. His eyes were calm and deep as he explained to her, "As long as the Lowe family is here, they will get their salaries. When the Lowe Group is gone, they will lose their guarantee of life. The young people can just look for another job, but what about the old ones? They may have lost the ability to start over with a new business; they may never get up again."
Grace narrowed her eyes, processing it for a long time. Then, she looked at Heinz with a touch of attachment in her eyes. "Is this his sense of responsibility of being the person in charge?"
Heinz nodded. "Sort of. Rather than scheming against your cousin, it's more like the Old Master has no other better option anymore. He really had no one to entrust it to and he knew very well that among the younger generation of the Lowe family, Zachary is considered one of the most capable."
Grace nodded. "Your analysis is very reasonable but Zachary will have to do some hard work."
Heinz agreed. "This result would satisfy everyone; Grandma's ashes, Uncle, and the Old Master will all be buried together. This was the best choice."
Grace whispered, "I hope so. I really hope that it was the best option. I just hope that the other three members of the Lowe family don't ever come to stir up trouble again in the future."
Heinz said overbearingly, with a pair of black eyes that glimmered with light, "We will replace a way to deal with them."
