True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 636
Jensen looked at Nelson in surprise. He couldn't believe that Nelson would say that.
Nelson continued, "She is a faithful and honest child. If she cares and thinks about nothing, she is a selfish child. The fact that she is ready to break up with you shows that she has thought about it. After carefu consideration, she still thinks it's better to break up, right?"
"Yes!" Jensen nodded. "She thinks so."
"Then, what do you think?" Nelson asked again.
Moreover, Nelson was staring at Jensen the whole time, not letting go of every single trace of emotion on Jensen's face.
"I won't break up with her," Jensen answered firmly. "I won't allow her to leave me."
"As expected of my son." Nelson patted the table with excitement, attracting everyone's attention.
He immediately said, "I'll get a bottle of wine and have a little today."
"Dad, are you not going to work today?"
"Today's a rest day," Nelson replied. "I'm happy and I'll drink a little. You should just watch and don't drink."
"I won't drink." Jensen ordered a bottle of wine for Nelson and poured it for him.
Nelson took a sip and said happily, "A man should be like this. He should make his own decisions. A man shouldn't simply follow others and have women's pity. Especially since you are a policeman, you should make your own decisions."
"Thank you for your understanding, Dad," Jensen said. "I'll try to have a meal with you tomorrow night."
"Okay," Nelson agreed. "Go back and tell your girlfriend that you don't have to live with us when you get married in the future so she will feel relieved and feel better. Otherwise, it's very difficult to get along with your mother with her temper, and she will be in a dilemma."
"Dad, you are so open-minded, which makes me feel very guilty," Jensen said.
"Don't think too much," Nelson replied. "Spending the days ourselves is our own business. It's meaningless to participate in it." "Thank you for your understanding!"
With his father's support, Jensen felt much more relaxed. He ate a plate of pastries happily.
As they were leaving, Nelson asked for two takeaways. He asked Jensen to take one and said, "This is for your girlfriend and this is for my wife. We have chosen them ourselves. No matter how bad it is, you have to accept your fate and continue to move forward."
Jensen smiled and didn't know what to say.
Nelson said, "I'm talking about my wife, your Mom!"
Jensen laughed. In his heart, he still thought that Nelson was amazing. It was obvious that it was hard for him to handle Rosalie's temper, but still he had endured it year after year, decade after decade. When they arrived at the side of the car, Nelson immediately said to Jensen, "Jensen, go back quickly. Don't let it become cold. Pastries aren't good once they become cold." "Okay, Dad!" Jensen quickly drove back.
When he arrived at the Emerald Apartment, Alice had not gotten up yet. She was too tired and slept very soundly.
Jensen put the pastries on the table. Then, he went into the bedroom and saw that Alice was still asleep. He reached out and touched her tender face as he called out, "Alice?"
Alice turned over and refused his touch. Suddenly, she opened her eyes and looked into Jensen's eyes. She saw that Jensen had changed his clothes and it was obvious that he had gone out before. She looked at her watch again. It was already nine o'clock.
"Get up and eat something," Jensen said. "My Dad asked me to bring you some pastries."
"What?" Alice was stunned. "Did you say your dad?"
"Yes, my dad asked me to bring you the pastries. I went back today." There was a hint of happiness in his eyes. "He brought you some pastries."
Alice was stunned and she was so scared that she quickly sat up from the bed. Looking at Jensen, who was in front of her, she asked in a very cute way, "Your dad? Why did your dad get me pastries?" "What do you think?" Sitting on the edge of the bed, Jensen stared at Alice with his jet-black eyes. He heard that her tone was full of suspicion and thought that Alice was so cute.
"I don't know," Alice replied quickly and her face was covered with a red blush. "It shouldn't be like this."
She felt that Jensen's father was weird. He
shouldn't have brought her food.
"He is different from my mother!" Looking at Alice's puzzled and adorable little face, a hint of affection flashed in Jensen's eyes.
With Nelson's support, Jensen was very confident. He had been at a complete loss previously, but now, he felt much better.
At least, he wasn't fighting alone.
Alice was still in shock. She could not control her emotions. Looking at Jensen, she stuttered and asked, "Just now, you said that your dad asked you to bring me pastries?" "Yes." Jensen couldn't help but laugh. "He also said that he wants to treat you to dinner tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."
"Treat me?" Alice pointed at herself and looked at Jensen in disbelief.
"Yes." Jensen nodded with a smile. "That's what my Dad said. He said that he wanted to treat you. I think it's too soon today, so I decided that it would be tomorrow night." "Only your Dad?" Alice asked with uncertainty. At this time, her heart was in chaos, an uncontrollable tension flowed out, which made her a little scared, uneasy and nervous. "Yes." Jensen nodded again. "Only my Dad, me, and you. Just the three of us."
No Jensen's mother. Alice breathed a sigh of relief, but after thinking about it carefully, she still felt worried.
"Jensen, do I have to meet your dad?" Alice asked doubtfully..
Upon hearing her question, Jensen immediately understood Alice's thoughts.
He nodded heavily. "Yes, you must meet him. I won't allow you to hide."
"But I..." Alice was about to say something but he interrupted her.
"No buts." He held Alice's face with both hands and pressed his handsome face down on her. The familiar scent was just by the edge of her nose. It was so fresh and cold and his breath gently fell on her lips. "At this moment, I won't allow you to back down. It's useless for you to back down."
Alice knew that he had become serious.
She was going to meet his parents already.
Jensen had always been efficient.
Alice had accidentally met Rosalie and didn't get an approval from her, so why should she be afraid of meeting his father?
She nodded. "Okay, I'll go meet him."
Whether she backed down or not, she would be doomed either way. Thus, she wasn't too fearful.
Hearing what she said, Jensen smiled. The tiredness in his eyes disappeared and there was a kind of power arising in him.
Alice looked at Jensen and thought to herself, "Let's try hard first. I'll wait and see the results after trying hard."
"I'm sorry," Jensen said. "You've suffered a lot because of me. I'm really sorry."
Alice looked at him with wide eyes and shook her head. "It's fine."
Jensen narrowed his eyes and suddenly lowered his head to kiss Alice.
"I didn't brush my teeth!" She said in a hurry and pushed him away. "No more, I'm going to wash up first!"
Jensen got up resentfully after being pushed away by her and said, "I don't mind."
"But I mind," Alice whispered in embarrassment. She rolled down from the bed and quickly went to wash up.
