True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 783
The tone of her voice was domineering and cold as she gave the order.
Alice stiffened, her gaze sharp. She was very upset.
After so many years, she had thought that Candace would at least apologize, or she would feel guilty when faced with her daughters.
If that was the case, she would've felt better.
However, Candace did not.
She had probably never suffered from a broken heart.
Alice paused and she said, "Jensen, let's go.
I'm exhausted."
"Okay." He nodded, turning around to give Candace a warning glare, hoping that she would not hurt Alice.
However, she didn't take it seriously.
"Alice, is this how you behave when you meet me after so many years?" Candace asked self-righteously. "I'm your mother. We're supposed to catch up with each other."
Alice's face fell. She turned around abruptly and looked at Candace indifferently. She then started to walk towards her slowly.
Candace stood by the car as she looked at her calmly.
Alice stood before her.
Jensen also came over.
"Jensen, you don't have to come over," Candace remarked. "An outsider like you should not interrupt us as we catch up with each other."
He was livid. He narrowed his eyes as he replied firmly, "I am protecting my girlfriend. Madam Lowe, you don't have the right to ask me to leave you two alone in such a public place like a basement garage." "Jensen, you don't have to leave," Alice stated. "You are my boyfriend. I'm talking to an outsider, so you don't have to leave us alone."
Jensen stood by her side. He gazed at Candace coldly, without an ounce of respect in his eyes.
Candace furrowed her brows. "If that's the case, then forget it."
As she regarded Alice, there was no love in her gaze. There was only judgment and impatience as she commented, "The man you are seeing isn't really all that. He doesn't have anything you want, and yet you're still going out with him. I think you should break up with him as soon as possible."
Jensen frowned. Candace had said that several times.
Upon hearing this, Alice quickly grew impatient. She stared at Candace and asked in return, "You think? What qualifications do you have to think for me? I'm responsible for the man I chose for myself. Who are you to meddle in my business? You, a self-righteous old woman, still gave birth to a child at such an old age. After giving birth to him, you didn't even want to raise him yourself after that, and left him to Grace. How are you not ashamed?"
Candace snorted, "You have to thank me for my cruelty, otherwise you wouldn't have the ability to take care of yourself like you do now."
"You are the most shameless person on earth." Alice frowned. She frowned tightly as she looked at the woman before her eyes. She had delicate makeup on her face, her foundation was very thick, and a few age spots could be vaguely seen. Her age was evident from her skin.
Alice suddenly sneered, "I thought you've maintained yourself well since you've abandoned us. Looking at the way you cover your flaws with a layer of makeup, there should be lots of age spots beneath it, right?" Candace's eyes flashed. She was vain. She was enraged when she heard Alice commenting on her appearance.
"A woman who is past her prime even gave birth to the child of an unknown man. What were you thinking?" Alice continued, "Since you've insisted on giving birth to him, then raise him well. Not only did you no raise him well, you even threw the responsibility to Grace. You're really something."
"How dare you call me a woman who is past my prime?" Candace looked at her in shock. "Am I that old?"
"Of course you are," Alice replied sarcastically. "Did you really think that you are still young? You are already an old woman now. Do you actually believe that you can conceal your age with makeup? You've already aged, and yet you try to act young, giving birth to a child. Why don't you give birth to another child again? Wait, no, you should have eleven more. In this way, you can form a national team and participate in tournaments."
Candace's expression grew grim as she tried to refute.
Alice continued to wag her glib tongue, and she teased indifferently, "Since you like giving birth to children so much, you should sign an agreement with the football association. You can give birth to talents for them, and let them raise the children well."
"How dare you!"
"Why not?" Alice's gaze was sharp as she frowned. "Your face is full of wrinkles, and yet you still want to pretend to be a young lady. Does Lowell call you Mom or Grandma? Look at the saggy skin on your neck, and yet you're still wearing high heels. Aren't you afraid of spraining your ankles?" Alice cursed.
"How can you curse me like that? I am your mother," Candace shouted.
"Are you qualified to be my mother?" Alice retorted. "You insist on taking advantage of your rights as an elder when we ignore you. The reason we didn't come to settle the accounts from all those years with you, is because we despise you. However, you dare to provoke us over and over again. Let me warn you, I can take it if you take it out on me. If you dare to touch Grace, I swear I will end you."
With this, she stepped forward. She stared at Candace at a close distance with a sharp gaze as she warned, "I can sacrifice my life for Grace. I'm not afraid of violating the law to kill you." Alice's gaze frightened Candace. She furrowed her brows, but her red lips still lifted into a sneer, "Since you're not afraid of violating the law, then try."
Slap! A crisp slap sounded. The sneer from Candace's lips quickly fell, and it sealed her mouth shut. A palm print appeared on her beautiful face, while Alice had already withdrawn her hand speedily. Her gaze was as frosty as ice.
"I will," Alice hissed. Her voice sounded as if she came from hell. Killing intent was written all over her face, and a terrifying aura surrounded her.
Alice had never shown this side of her before.
Even Jensen was frightened by her.
He had not expected Alice to actually attack Candace.
Although Jensen also felt that Candace had gone too far and didn't deserve to be a mother, he didn't expect that Alice would actually do something like that.
"How dare you!" Candace covered her cheek with her hand as she looked at her younger daughter before her. Her face was filled with rage. "I am your mother."
"Don't mention this," Alice interrupted her callously. "You don't deserve to be my mother.
You were the one who left me with no choice. If you continue to do something like this again, it will not be as simple as a slap next time. I will knock off all the powder on your face and show how deep your wrinkles are."
"Jensen, is this how you educate Alice?" When Candace saw that Alice was being disobedient, she questioned Jensen straight away.
"Shut up," he barked. "You don't deserve to blame anyone. In my eyes, Alice has done nothing wrong. She is amazing."
Jensen held her by his side as he glanced at Candace coldly. "Madam Lowe, please go back."
After that, he turned around and left with Alice.
