True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 790
Both Grace and Alice opened their mouths wide at the same time.
As they looked at Lowell, they didn't know what to say.
"You are also a child," Grace remarked. "You are only a few years older than them. My principle is that no one is allowed to bully anyone. You should put yourself in others' shoes and be reasonable for everything you do."
"Understood," Lowell replied shyly. "Actually, I know that you're afraid that the two of them will bully me. Thank you for helping me."
She stretched out her hand to pat his head.
He felt a little embarrassed. He was so touched that his eyes were glistening with crystal-clear tears.
It wasn't easy for him to be accepted here.
Little Gary naturally understood what Grace meant. He remained silent as he sized Lowell up.
"It's okay," Grace comforted him. "Go and play with Little Gary and the others. They are reasonable people."
"That's right, Mommy. Both Ernest and I are reasonable. Plus, both of us know how to use our heads," Little Gary said. "Sometimes, we can even achieve things that you might not be able to."
After saying that, he blinked his eyes at Grace as he continued, "For example, if you guys have something you want to know, but you can't just ask directly, I can help you."
With the cunning look in his gaze, Grace knew that he was indeed intelligent.
She sighed. "Alright, you can do it. I know you can do it."
Little Gary couldn't stand Grace's dismissive attitude. He shrugged his shoulders and ignored her. He then turned to Lowell and asked, "Hey, what's your father's name? Tell us." Lowell shook his head immediately and answered, "Actually, I have only seen my father a few times before. He is busy and doesn't care about me."
"You don't know his name?" Little Gary asked suspiciously. "Don't tell me you don't know your father's name."
Lowell answered, "His first name is Stephen. I don't know his full name. No one calls him by his full name. Everyone calls him Stephen, and I call him Stephen too. I don't call him dad." "Why didn't you call him dad?" Gary asked in surprise. He had finally found a friend who didn't want to call his father 'Dad' like himself. "Didn't your father do well enough?"
"He's too old," Lowell replied embarrassedly. "I only feel like calling him grandpa whenever I see him. I really can't bring myself to call him dad."
Little Gary asked again, "Then does your mother call him that as well?"
"My mother calls him darling," Lowell answered. He shuddered and asked, "Can you imagine the scene where two old people call each other darling?" "Ew!" Little Gary pretended to vomit instantly. "Don't they feel disgusted when they call each other that? It's so disgusting that I'm going to throw up."
"They're probably used to it," Lowell guessed. "I don't think it's disgusting. I think they don't care if I feel disgusted about it too. Since they don't care about me, they shouldn't have given birth to me at all. Forget it, I don't want to talk about this. It's depressing."
On the other side, Grace, Alice, Heinz, and Jensen all heard the children's conversation.
The four of them exchanged glances quietly. Little Gary then suggested, "Come with us to the backyard to play. I'll take you to have a look around."
"Okay." Lowell nodded and followed Little Gary and Ernest to play together.
At this time, Jensen's phone rang.
He picked it up.
"Boss, we've found out that Henry once stayed in Julesberg's Painter Village."
"In Julesberg's Painter Village?" Jensen was very surprised. He could not help but raise his voice.
When Grace heard this, she immediately turned to look at him.
"When was it?" Jensen asked.
"On the day when the news broke out."
"D*mn it," Jensen swore. "What was he doing over there?"
"He left no traces behind, and we didn't see him interact with anyone either."
"Investigate it carefully." Jensen furrowed his eyebrows tightly, his lips pursed into a straight line.
After he put down the phone, he reported to Heinz, "I've found out that Henry had appeared in Julersburg's Painter Village before. We don't know who he has interacted with." "Henry?" Grace frowned and asked, "How did you replace out about that?"
"We've been investigating it," Jensen answered honestly. "Heinz and I have arranged for people to follow up on the investigation. It seems that they weren't able to replace out much. They're not exactly efficient." "It's indeed very difficult to investigate," Heinz commented. "My side has encountered a lot of difficulties too. It's not that easy."
"Do you have Henry's photos?" Grace asked in confusion, "We haven't seen him before. Are you sure that it's him?"
"Edgar Allen Poe," Jensen replied. "He used this name as his alias. We have seen his photo before."
Grace sneered.
Jensen handed her the mobile phone. The photo on Whatsapp was right before her eyes. The clear photo of Henry also came into her sight. It was a passport style photo.
"Huh?" Grace was shocked. As she looked at the person in the photo, she frowned and remarked, "This person looks so familiar."
Suddenly, Jensen and Heinz both turned to look at her.
Grace examined the photo carefully and suddenly said, "I've got it. He asked me for directions when he was in Julesburg. He spoke English. He's a mixed-race man, and is very tall and skinny. He's not as buff as other foreigners."
"Are you sure that you've seen him before?" Heinz's brows furrowed as he questioned, "In Julesburg?"
"Yes." Grace nodded. "It's him who asked me for directions."
Jensen paused. He couldn't believe it. As he looked at Grace, they had a terrible hunch in their hearts.
"Did he only ask you for directions?" Heinz asked. His tone became frosty.
"Yes." Grace felt that it was odd as well. She asked, "Haven't you found out what he was doing over there?" "Not yet," Jensen answered.
She was also puzzled.
Jensen picked up the phone and called his subordinate again, asking, "Regarding the clue about Henry just now, have you found out how long he stayed in Julersberg's Painter Village for?"
"Boss, it was only an hour. He stayed in the Painter Village of Julesburg for an hour, and had been wandering there the whole time. He didn't spend much time in the hotel, hence there were almost no photos of him."
"How long did he stay in Julesburg?" Jensen asked immediately.
"Less than two hours in total. He took a plane and came to Northern City."
"D*mn it!" Jensen couldn't but curse. "He's so arrogant. Check all the surveillance of the Painter Village and contact all of my colleagues in Julesburg to open a green channel for us right now. Hurry up and check it."
"Yes."
Grace muttered, "That man was very polite when he asked me for directions. I didn't expect him to be Henry, who has a connection to Jodie."
"Perhaps he just wanted to see you." Heinz's gaze was very sharp. He squinted a little and analyzed the situation, "As he has an ulterior motive, he wants to provoke you and see you, but I'm sure he hasn't achieved his other purposes."
Grace had never expected that she would become the one who had met Henry face to face.
