"I don't know him," Grace said in surprise.

"I really don't know what's going on."

Alice was so shocked that she couldn't snap out of her trance for a brief while. "How could Grace have met that pervert? What on earth is he going to do?"

When Heinz noticed Grace's face turning pale, his expression became solemn. He was worried about her.

"Grace, recall the details carefully," Jensen suggested. "For example, his expression when he saw you?"

She thought carefully.

She felt that Henry's expression at the time was courteous, and he had a gentlemanly smile on his face. However, when she thought about it now, she felt that there was a hidden meaning behind his smile. According to the environment at that time, there should have been a lot of staff members in the Painter Village. He did not ask the hotel staff for the directions, but instead, he picked her and even said a few words with her. It made Grace feel a little horrified when she thought about it.

Apparently human hearts were not so kind.

Thinking of his courteous and hypocritical smile when he deliberately asked her, she suddenly felt that there was something wrong, and that it was dangerous everywhere.

"Grace?" Jensen turned to her as she was recalling her memories. The more she thought about it, the more worried she became, and the more fear flashed in her gaze.

Grace came back to her senses immediately. Her face was filled with horror and cold sweat covered her palms.

After a long time, she said, "He asked me for directions with a smile. Then, he seemed to have looked at me a few times deliberately. Back then, I still thought that he was quite good-looking. Well, at least he was not hideous. He had slightly dark skin, but he still left me with a deep impression of him. When he smiled at me, it seemed that there was some hidden meaning behind it."

Grace then told them about her feelings.

In an instant, Heinz furrowed his eyebrows tightly. He fell into a cold silence as soon as he heard Henry had asked Grace for directions. A cold aura surrounded his body.

Especially now, when he heard her words, he grew even more anxious and worried.

"It seems that Henry went to look for Grace on purpose. Maybe he wants to kidnap her, or he was up to something else," he stated firmly.

"We can't rule out this possibility," Jensen agreed. "Now that I think about it, this person only stayed in Julesburg for two hours. He probably wasn't dealing with anything important. His meeting with Grace seems to have been accidental, but in fact, it might be his sole purpose."

"D*mned pervert, why did he go to see Grace? Did he think that it was a blind date?" Alice couldn't help but curse. "He's such a f*cking pervert."

She was also very anxious and worried that Grace would be hurt.

"Wait a minute," Jensen suddenly said.

Alice paused and looked up at him.

Jensen recalled his memories carefully. He looked at Grace and then at Alice. Finally, he turned his gaze to Heinz. He said, "When Alice mentioned a blind date, I suddenly thought of something. I think Henry might've gone to Julesburg, just to get a good look at Grace."

"The problem is, what did he accomplish from looking at Grace for a brief moment? He doesn't know her at all. Why did he even go to Julesburg?" Alice grew more anxious and she cursed, "What a pervert! How dare he go to Grace, and even talk to her."

Heinz's face fell and his gaze became cold.

His heart was filled with worry. His hands and feet were cold, and he had a lingering fear in his heart. It was terrifying.

"He was hiding in the dark, while we were an easy target out in the open. Therefore, we don't understand what he thinks as well as his ulterior motives," Jensen analyzed with a frown, "It is because that we don't know anything about his motives, that we replace it weird. If he really did go to Julesburg just for Grace, then he is a terrifyingly detailed person."

"He will come back again," Heinz suddenly said. "Henry will definitely come back again. After connecting some of the dots, we can confirm that he went to Julesberg to see Grace. Jodie and Aaron are his chess pieces, and we've figured them out."

Jensen nodded. "There is another one. Madam Lowe may be his next chess piece."

Alice took a sharp breath. "Are you implying that my mother is working together with Henry, in order to hurt Grace?"

This thought didn't seem to be very feasible. Was this really the case?

Alice was terrified. "I don't think so. She is our mother!"

"She no longer is," Grace interrupted her abruptly. "She hasn't been our mother ever since she chose to leave us, Dad, and Grandma."

"That's right, she no longer is." Alice shook her head immediately. "I also think that she has gone too far."

How could a person be so cruel? She was even willing to work with outsiders in order to harm her own children. That was definitely crossing the line.

Heinz stood before Grace as he looked down at her pale face. Then, he took her into his arms silently.

As she laid in Heinz's arms, his broad chest brought her a sense of security.

Tears welled up in her eyes. However, Grace took a deep breath, raised her head, and shook her head at him.

"I'm fine."

He couldn't bear it, because he saw the forced calmness in her gaze.

He knew that she was pretending to be strong.

Grace suppressed the bitterness and selfmockery in her heart as she looked at Alice and said, "I have a hunch now that the news about me has something to do with her, since she knows Aaron, has been to his place recently, and even tried to stop me from being with Heinz. The scandal about me must have something to do with her."

"Grace, I hate her so much." Alice was so infuriated that she gnashed her teeth. "How could there be such a mother in the world?"

Jensen looked at both Grace and Alice as he said, "Both of you stay home and take care of the children well. Leave the rest to me and Heinz."

Heinz then turned to Grace and said, "Don't think too much about it. I'll go out with Jensen. We have to deal with something."

"Got it." She nodded. "I will stay home."

"Look after Lowell," he added.

"Okay." She nodded calmly, understanding Heinz's request.

Soon, Heinz and Jensen left.

The two of them planned to check on Candace first.

When they arrived, Alex told them, "Candace fell asleep in the house. At first, she kept cursing, but then she began to sleep. We woke her up countless times, which made her very irritable. After dawn, we allowed her to sleep for an hour."

"Are you sure that she's sleeping?" Heinz raised his eyebrows and asked in return.
