True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 792
"She's sleeping. She looks really exhausted," Alex said.
"We saw her breathing in a constant rhythm. Besides, we've just sent her breakfast."
Heinz came to the front of the CCTV screen. He saw that the breakfast was in the room, while Candace was sleeping. It seemed that she was indeed being tortured.
"Go, wake her up," Heinz ordered coldly. "Didn't I tell you to keep her awake and not allow her to sleep?"
Alex paused. "I'm worried that we might kill her."
"A wicked person usually outlives a good person. How could I allow someone like her to die this easily?" Heinz returned.
His voice was emotionless, and his tone was even. However, it was evident that he was displeased with Alex's actions.
Alex felt very uneasy as he quickly replied, "Okay, got it. I will wake her up right away."
Heinz glanced at the screen with a cold gaze.
Jensen then reminded Alex at an appropriate time, "Alex, remember that from now on, you shouldn't allow her to sleep, not even for a minute. This must go on, at least until the next morning." Jensen's tone was serious as he spoke to Alex.
He nodded. "Yes, understood."
"It shouldn't be a problem for normal people to stay up for such a long time. Although she's a bit older, it's within the limits of what she can bear, unless she's in poor health," Jensen added. "Yes," Alex quickly said. "I will wake her up right away."
With a gesture, the bodyguard, Bruce, went into the room where Candace was and bent down on the ground to wake her up.
Bruce was a boor. He pushed her hard and stated in a deep voice, "Wake up, don't sleep."
Candace felt extremely sleepy after staying up all night. She had only slept for a brief while at dawn. At this time, her face looked strained, her skin was dry, and her face began to show signs of greasiness. Now that they didn't allow her to sleep, she was even more irritated.
"Wake up," Bruce repeated coldly. "Now."
Candace was still asleep, and it seemed that she was very sleepy.
She just wouldn't wake up.
Bruce was also getting impatient as he knew that the president was dissatisfied.
"Wake up, do you hear me?"
As he said that, he pulled Candace up from the ground with all his strength. Naturally, he pulled her up by her hair.
In an instant, Candace woke up with a start, and her face was twisted due to the pain. She couldn't stand this feeling at all. She was in terrible pain and her expression was gloomy.
Heinz's expression remained calm as he watched her.
Since no one had stopped him, Bruce did not let go of her. "I've told you to wake up, but you didn't listen to me. If you insist on suffering, then continue to suffer."
"It hurts!" Candace cried out in pain. "Who the hell are you guys? You've gone too far by imprisoning me here."
Bruce threw her to the side and replied, "What's wrong with imprisoning you? Who would imprison you if you didn't act out of the line? I'm telling you, don't be too arrogant. You will definitely be punished for it." Candace fell to the ground at once. Her scalp was numb with pain as Bruce had pulled her hair so hard. She supported herself by putting her hands on the floor, and she looked up at him. "What exactly do you guys want? Ask the person in charge to come out and tell me what exactly do you guys want?"
"Think about it yourself." Bruce, who had been trained for a long time, replied, "Think about what vicious things you have done that will make others treat you this way."
Candace frowned and yelled, "Are you crazy? Why won't you tell me what you want from me by bringing me here? And you're even imprisoning me like this. Are you out of your mind?"
"Mind your words." He came over and continued to pull her scalp hard in warning. "You'd better keep your mouth shut, woman. If you hadn't done something crazy, no one would have done this to you. Let me warn you, you'd better think it through. Tell us what you have done and repent. Then maybe we can let you go. If you don't tell us, we'll lock you up forever. Well not allow you to sleep and you will stay up all night as you have. That's how they train the eagles."
"Aren't eagles violent? Yet they were still tortured to the point of becoming tame. No matter how ferocious you are, are you as ferocious as the eagles that soar in the sky?"
"Even the eagles have been tamed. You're just an old woman who is past your prime, so what are you capable of? Do you think that we won't be able to torture you until you tell us the truth?"
Sweat rolled down her forehead and Candace felt a sharp pain in her scalp. She gritted her teeth as she replied, "What do you want to know? You should at least give me a hint."
"No," Bruce replied coldly. "If you don't want to be honest with us, just hang in there. Regardless, you won't be able to sleep today. Not only will you not be able to sleep today, you won't be able to sleep tomorrow, nor the day after."
Candace was already feeling fatigued, and now that she was in such pain, she roared as if she had broken down. "Do you guys want to kill me? Just tell me, what do you want to know? I'll tell you." "Fine, wait here," he responded.
As soon as he let go of her, she fell and sat down on the ground.
In an instant, Candace cried out in pain.
He then walked out and said to everyone, "She said that she's willing to talk to us now, and we can ask her whatever we want to know."
Alex looked at Heinz, inquiring what to do next.
Heinz answered in a deep voice, "Don't bother her. We have to let her know that even if she's willing to tell the truth, it's us who will manipulate the timing."
"That's right." Jensen nodded. "That's how it works. You may continue to treat her like you did just now. There's no need to hit her. Just pull her hair and that will do."
"Yes." Alex nodded. "I promise that I won't allow her to sleep. I'll report to you guys if there's something unusual."
"Okay." Heinz nodded.
"Alex, send me two photos of Candace later," Jensen requested.
Alex nodded. "Okay, Officer Charm, I'll send it to you soon."
Heinz and Jensen then left.
Jensen asked Heinz before getting into the car, "What do you think?"
"If we connect the clues together, we may be able to replace the motive." Heinz looked at him expressionlessly and asked, "Didn't you always pay attention to replace out the motive from the trails of evidence when you are handling cases?"
"Yes." Jensen smiled. "That's why I will go to the lock-up now to see Aaron."
"That's what you mean by asking Alex to take pictures of Candace, isn't it?" Heinz understood his intention almost instantly.
"Yeah." Jensen nodded with a faint smile on his face as he asked, "Why do I feel that this case gives me motivation?"
"I can smell it," Heinz replied as he glanced at him. It could be seen from Jensen's excited gaze that he liked the challenge from such a difficult case.
"Do you know what I'm thinking about?" He asked.
"You are excited." Heinz returned his smile. "It's just that I really dislike it when something like this happens to both me and Grace."
"Of course, I don't want it to happen either," Jensen responded. "Alice also feels terrible."
