Heinz took a deep breath as he read. He had long known what was going on, but he was still a little upset when read the contents of the letter. He did not realize that his father did not agree with his and Jodie's marriage from the beginning. Furthermore, he had played a less glorious role. Although Jodie only had herself to blame, her misfortunes later on were brought on by his father.

Heinz's heart was still throbbing.

However, as he read the letter and its contents, he felt that Candace did love his father. It seemed like she really had feelings for Lawrence.

He just could not believe that she actually wanted to kill Timothy and Anderson.

This woman was ruthless.

He held the letter in his hands and realized that he had only read three pages.

He continued to read.

"Heinz, I have to entrust Grace, Alice, and Lowell to you. I am unqualified to be their mother. I hope that you will treat them well. I'll be able to die without any regrets."

"As for your father, I sincerely hope that you will be good to him. He might have made a lot of mistakes in the past, but after I leave, he will be alone in this world. He is also one million dollars in debt. I really hope that you are able to repay this debt for him."

"No matter how bad he is, he is still your father."

"I also believe that you are a filial child. Your love for your father is no less than his love for you. I know that you resent him. I can understand it."

"I have never been one who is good at expressing my feelings. I know a lot of people hate me."

"When I was with Anderson, before I found out that Grace was Timothy's, I took great care of her. However, when Anderson found out that she wasn't his biological daughter, my days became dark." "My character had also changed. I knew that I was born to offend. This was probably the only time I've ever expressed myself."

"Heinz, your father really loves you."

"Perhaps it was not what you expected, but there is no way you can doubt his sincerity. So, please help him. Help him to pay off his debts and let him live the rest of his life in peace." "You may be wondering why I am asking you to do this. I know that my words are a little implausible. However, part of this debt resulted from your father giving Aaron and Henry money, while the rest of it resulted from his failed business."

"Your father was not born to run a business. He also relied on his relationship with the Carter family to get to where he is today."

"After leaving the Carter family, things did not go smoothly. I have a feeling that part of it was because of your grandfather. He interfered with your father's business and caused a lot of damage to him." "Of course, we won't mention this again. I earnestly request that you help your father pay off his debt. This is my most sincere request to you. If you are unable to, then just forget about what I've said." "The last few pages of this letter were written for your father."

"I initially did not want to write anything to him."

"If he is not living a good life, if he is always impatient and very dismissive of anything, or is doing many strange things, then I would like you to hand this letter to him."

"If he did not abandon himself to despair, then you no longer need to show him this letter. Just pretend that I've never written anything to him."

"As for the contents of the letter, if you are willing to read it, then you can read it. If you don't want to, then I thank you for being respectful." "Well, this is where I am going to end this letter. Please take care of Grace!"

"Please take care of Alice and Jensen!"

"Please also take care of Lowell!"

"Regarding your father, I hope that you will fulfil my wish!"

"Thank you."

This was where the letter ended. The last few pages were taped together with medical tape. Heinz glanced at it but did not open it.

He pursed his lips and shoved his part of the letter into his pocket. Then, he folded the remaining part of the letter for his father and turned to leave.

He soon returned to the hospital.

Lawrence was still with the doctor. When Heinz arrived, the doctor came out with a helpless face. He looked at Heinz with a dignified look and said, "The situation is not optimistic. Mr. Jones, it might take a long time for him to recover."

"I know." Heinz said, "I think I'm going to take him home. I'll make an appointment for another day."

"Alright then."

After that, Heinz left with Lawrence.

After getting into the car, Heinz said to Lawrence, "This is Candace's suicide letter. She wrote it for you. Lester found it under the bed in the room of the villa this afternoon. This is your part. Why don't you take a look?"

Heinz took it out and handed it to him.

Lawrence suddenly tensed up. He seemed extremely nervous.

He accepted the thick stack of papers with trembling hands. The curiosity and shock in his eyes could not be expressed in words.

He hastily accepted the letter. He opened it and began to read it.

Heinz turned around and looked at his father. He found his father's face to be very dignified. His eyes were full of emotions that could not be expressed.

He read through the letter very quickly. The more he read, the more nervous and agitated he became. He held the paper tightly.

When Heinz saw his father's appearance, he understood that Candace had probably already predicted these things. Perhaps something would happen to his father after she died. That was why she planned ahead.

The car sped along the road. He was neither too fast nor too slow.

Lawrence read the letter with utmost focus.

About ten minutes later, he had read the letter twice.

Heinz said, "You should know what she's thinking. Perhaps it's not like what you saw. Therefore, I think you can roughly make a judgement about what happened between the two of you. I'm not going to say anything."

Lawrence held the letter. He was trembling as he looked at Heinz.

Heinz also noticed that tears were welling up in his father's eyes. He was visibly moved and his lips were trembling. He opened his mouth, wanting to speak. "Come on, say it," Heinz encouraged his father. "What do you have to say? Just say it."

"She!" Lawrence murmured a word. His voice was particularly hoarse. There was some sobbing and a hint of excitement in his voice that could not be described. "She loves you." Heinz said in a deep voice, "Is that what you want to say?"

Lawrence immediately nodded and excitement flashed across his eyes. "Yes, she loves me. She loves me!"

Heinz sighed and said in a mocking tone, "You are not getting any younger and you got excited when you found out that she loved you. You are really shameless." Lawrence cried and laughed. Then finally, he burst into tears in the car.

"Candace!"

He cried desperately.

Heinz felt extremely uncomfortable when he saw his father's trembling shoulders.

He was calling for another woman, not his own mother.

It was such a pity that his mother had never been blessed by this man in her entire life.

Heinz turned and looked out of the window with misty eyes.

"Candace!" Lawrence called out Candace's name again.

Heinz's eyebrows twisted into a knot.

Just then, his phone rang.
