True Love -
(Book 3) – Chapter 126
Adrien was driving the car like a madman, straying through the streets of France. And how could he not, his wife was in the back of his van in the company of her friend who was suffering more than ever. The brunette kept screaming from the intense pain she felt in her lower belly.
For about an hour her water had broken and the labour pains were driving her crazy. Adrien couldn’t imagine the terrible pain she was feeling, but the incessant screaming and gasping he knew she was in pain.
Plus, the arrival of their first baby had taken him by surprise. They weren’t expecting him until the following week, but out of nowhere Maya’s water broke and everyone was forced to rush out of the house.
-Hurry up, love, for God’s sake! his wife demanded between panting and pushing.
-That’s what I’m doing, I can’t overdo it with you guys in the car, for f**k’s sake. Hold on a little bit love.
-Ahhhhhhhh! -Yell out. -How much longer? She screams as she feels another stabbing pain that forces her to bend over in the cramped van.
-We’re here! We’re here! Hold on my love.
Adrien sped up the car, he had to hurry or his wife would give birth in the back of the car. But he didn’t want to overspeed either. His brother, who was following him, would most likely tear his head off.
Seconds later, his phone rang. He answered it hands-free. He had expected that call.
-What the f**k do you think you’re doing? Slow the f**k down Adrien. His brother yelled hysterically on the other end of the line.
-Maya can’t take it anymore, I have to hurry.
-F**k, goddamn it Adrien… Zoé is in there seven months pregnant. I’ll murder you if anything happens to her.
-I know how to drive, don’t worry brother. Besides, we’re almost there.
Jean hits the steering wheel of her car… after her brother Zoe’s wedding she had become pregnant. While Maya was already pregnant when she married Adrien, but neither of them knew it. It was a surprise for the couple to replace out they were going to be parents.
And there they were, rushing to the clinic to deliver their first nephew. Or rather niece. But he wasn’t happy that his 7 months pregnant wife was riding in a car where the driver was going over 100km per hour. The first months of Zoe’s pregnancy were complicated, the doctor had told her to be very careful and not to make too many mistakes. But his wife had kind of forgotten that part, because when her friend went into labour she was the first one to get into Adrien’s car.
As much as the blond protested that it was safer for her to go in his car, the girl didn’t want to. And I made up for it, Maya was in a lot of pain. And Adrien seemed a little nervous about the whole thing, so he had no choice but to let her go with them.
Her twins had stayed with a girl they had to hire to help them with the babies. Since Zoé had started studying a long time ago. So the brunette needed help. And now with a new baby on the way even more. They barely saw each other in the evenings, something that was beginning to irritate him.
By the time the cars pulled up in front of the clinic, a group of paramedics were already waiting for them, ready to attend to Maya. The perks of being a Dubois.
-Don’t worry, my friend, everything is going to be fine. The brunette encouraged the brunette.
-Yes, yes,” she replied agitatedly. -That’s easy to say from your position. She growls at her.
The nurses took her inside with her husband, while Jean helped his wife to a chair, she was a bit agitated and looked tired. He bought her some juice and tried to calm her down.
-Calm down, you don’t gain anything by being nervous. It’s not good for the baby.
-But I can’t. The brunette answers, rubbing her belly. -It’s her first baby.
-Come on, love! She’ll be fine, Maya is strong. She’ll have the baby successfully.
Long hours of agony were spent by the couple sitting in the waiting room… but no one came out to tell them how Maya and the baby were doing. And that left them more anxious than ever. Impatient, Zoé stands up, feeling pains in her back… her belly was huge, and with so much stress she hadn’t been able to get enough rest. She ignored the discomfort, not wanting to alarm her husband.
He knew her condition, that kind of stress was not good for her or the baby. When she couldn’t take it anymore, a nurse came out with news about Maya. When the brunette caught her, she ran to her followed by her husband.
-How is my friend? she asked anxiously.
-She’s fine, and so is the baby. In a moment you can come in to see them. The woman in white smiles at her.
-Thank you very much! She smiles and hugs her husband. -Everything went well.
-I told you, honey, everything was going to be fine. You had nothing to worry about.
A few minutes later the couple is led into the room where Maya is in the company of her husband and a beautiful little blonde in her arms. When Zoe saw her, she ran to her and hugged her.
-I knew you were going to make it. I’m proud of you, my friend.
-Thank you. Do you want to meet little Aphril?
-She’s beautiful Maya! Look what a beautiful little girl you have brought. She smiles and touches the little girl’s hand.
-Congratulations brother, my niece is very beautiful.
-Thank you very much. Envious? the youngest blond mocks.
-How are you feeling, Zoe? Maya asks, seeing her friend’s pallor.
-Tired. But I’m fine, don’t worry about me. The young girl lied.
But then the whole lie fell to the floor when she suddenly felt a sharp pain settle in her lower belly. With her hands she held her belly, bending over a little. At the scream she gave, everyone around her became alert. Jean immediately grabbed his wife by the waist before she fell to the ground.
-What’s the matter, love?
-It hurts so much! said the brunette in tears.
-Shit! exclaims her husband. -I told you, love. He reproaches her.
Jean carries her like a princess taking her out of the room to be attended… immediately Zoé was admitted to be attended.
At 7 months pregnant she was having her baby, and because of the emergencies they performed a caesarean section to prevent the baby from suffering any problems. Jean was worried in the waiting room because they wouldn’t let him into the operating room.
He knew he was going through a lot of stress, and only his friend’s delivery had accelerated the birth of his own baby. He was confident that everything would go well. She was almost biting her nails. Then she saw her father enter the clinic. So they both opted to wait for answers.
After about 30 minutes the nurse came out with the news, Zoé had a strong, healthy baby. A little small because of the premature birth, but she was healthy. Antonie hugged his son and Jean was immediately taken to the room where his wife was resting.
The Frenchman found his wife almost asleep, so he approached her slowly and spoke in her ear.
-We have a beautiful and healthy daughter. He whispered. She only nodded as she could not speak. -I love you my sweet wife.
Three months later…
Zoé and her husband were in the garden of her father’s mansion with the three little ones on top of them. Maya was also with them, little Aphril was on a blanket kicking her chubby legs.
Jean and Zoe’s daughter Mia was next to the infant, they were born on the same day so the babies were always together.
-We should take a trip. Vociferated the brunette taking her daughter’s feet to tickle them.
-That sounds good. Smiles the brunette. -It’s been a long time since we’ve been out anywhere. I think we deserve a trip for a change.
-That can be arranged. Jean sentences, throwing a ball to his eldest son.
-Where to? Adrien asks, arriving in the garden with two bottles in his hands.
-Wherever our wives choose.
-I don’t think that’s a good idea. His brother confirms, denying.
The friends look at each other’s faces and smile in complicity… they always let them pick everything. It was a good thing, at least for them, but not for them. They always chose the best and most expensive places.
-I think we’ve made a big mistake. They both say in unison.
-Come on girls, be nice to us. Adrien says to both of them.
They laugh and look at them….
-Oh! This trip will cost you dearly! replies the brunette.
-I was just saying…” comments Jean smiling.
