True Love -
Chapter 36
-I know it from the first time I met them. Their smell is completely different, and theirs too. They are daughters of different fathers.
-Nobody knew that!
-Aren’t you my father? asked a Shery with her sister still in her arms.
Steven looked down on her, and now even more so after he learned the truth. His wife had been a drug-addicted whore. After a month missing, she had come in pregnant and he obviously knew he wasn’t the father of that child. For some reason the bitch didn’t want to abort and in the end she had her, when he found out it was a girl he decided to keep her as it would bring him benefits as a woman.
Raising a girl was like raising cattle, only he never counted on the unfortunate bitch coming to him a year later with another offspring. By then he had two so-called daughters to make him a lot of money. The only thing he didn’t count on was that his damn boss would take a fancy to them. Ruining his plans.
-That’s right, you’re not my f*****g daughter. Your whore of a mother came here pregnant with you, and then your stupid sister. They’re not even daughters of the same man. He said mockingly.
-You’re a bastard! All this time we… We thought you were. F**K! She shouted at him, rising angrily to lash out at the wretched life but was stopped by Daren. -LET GO OF ME, YOU IDIOT! She shouted at him too.
-I’ll take care of him.
-The only thing I regret was not f*****g them. Said the man resigned to die.
-Noooooo… Miserable. He said between sobs.
Daren sent for his men and ordered them to take her out of the house, along with Eve’s body. He looked back at Steven who still had a smile on his lips.
-My boys will have fun with you. His smile disappeared instantly.
He walked out of the house, and four men entered the house to drag him out of the house. Daren got into his car and next to him was Shery who had fainted. He cursed himself for how careless he had been with that brat Eve, he had to know the idiot would look for her sister. But it was too late for regrets. At least he had Shery, he just needed the damn albino.
(…)
-We can go to Shery’s old house, maybe we’ll replace some clues there. Let’s ask Eve for her opinion. Ethan said.
Megan nodded and hurried up to her room, since the morning he hadn’t heard her move, maybe she was still in bed but he couldn’t spend the day like that. He had to cheer her up. As soon as she opened the door a loneliness was what greeted her, she was gone. And her scent was fading. A cold current ran through her body, something wasn’t right.
-Eve is not here!
-What are you saying? Ethan asked, jumping up from the couch.
-That she’s not in her room, and it looks like she’s long gone.
-Shit! Come on JB.
-Where to?
-To look for her, she went looking for her sister.
-I’m coming with you. The brunette told them.
-NO! JB said with authority. -It could be dangerous.
-I want to go too. Said the albino, getting up from her chair.
-NEITHER OF US WILL GO. DOT. Ethan said.
The boys hurried out of the house, following Eve’s trail. It wasn’t that fresh but they could follow, plus Ethan had a feeling where the girl had gone. After running at full speed they arrived in town and a few minutes later at Shery’s old house. The wolves looked at each other’s faces as a smell of b***d was coming from the house. They ran and entered without further ado.
It was completely empty and untidy. They followed the scent of b***d and found a pit in the middle of what could be called a kitchen. Ethan also smelled Shery’s scent.
-She was here.
-That b***d, that’s….
-Yes, Eve’s.
-That’s too much b***d, Ethan.
-Something bad happened to her. Shery was here too.
-Why the f**k did you come all the way out here by yourselves? -Why the f**k did you come all the way out here by yourselves? Ethan because you always disobey me.
-Father! The boys turned to meet Marcus and Seus.
-Who does this house belong to?
-Shery’s father. The alpha’s son answered.
-That girl, the youngest, is dead. He said seriously.
-What? the youngsters asked in unison.
-There is nothing we can do, we must leave now.
The boys looked at the pool of b***d on the floor, it was already beginning to coagulate which meant that it had been a long time since Shery had arrived at that house. Plus her scent was already fading. They were too late, if only he had been more attentive to Eve, it wouldn’t have happened. Shery would never forgive herself.
-Sooner or later, that young woman’s life was already scarred, Ethan. Just like her older sister. I’m sorry. Her father says to her.
-I won’t let that bastard have her. I’ll rescue her.
-I won’t let you die for her. -I won’t let you die for her.
-Then get used to the idea that you might be childless. -Then get used to the idea that you might be childless.
The young man stormed out. While Seus and Marcus were still standing near the horrible scene that took place hours before.
-He won’t rest until he replaces her, you know that. Says the Beta to his alpha.
-That wolf is too strong.
-We’ll replace his weak spot.
-I hope so, because I won’t let him take my son’s life.
Shery woke up again in that disgusting bed, the one she had to share with that a*****e Daren. She opened her eyes and all she could think of was her sister. Her eyes immediately glazed over, feeling a wrenching pain in her chest and soul. The only family he had left, and he lost her. He had nothing left in this world. The only thing he could do for his sake was to die.
To continue to live, while continuing to be physically and mentally abused by Daren was torture. And now having the memory of her sister lying dead on the kitchen floor made the pain even worse. Finding out that her father was not her real father, and that he murdered her sister, was too much for her fragile life.
Determined, she got out of bed, she had been sedated when they put her in Daren’s car as she didn’t want to cooperate in getting into it. She still felt some of the effects of it in her system. But as best she could, she got up and walked to the bathroom. He searched everything, but there was nothing he could make an attempt on his life. Daren’s bastard made sure there was nothing dangerous in the room.
He stared at the bathroom mirror for a long time, staring at his portrait, battered, bruised and bruised. Her eyes had lost that sparkle and innocence she once possessed. The Shery of before was dead. Rage drove her to punch the glass, causing it to shatter into several pieces on the wash. She picked up a large enough one and held it to her visibly red and irritated wrist. It would only be a few minutes, and then peace would reign in her soul. She smiled, for she would soon be reunited with her sister.
(…)
Daren, along with some of his men, dragged Steven. Who was moaning every now and then, begging for his life. Begging for mercy from Daren who would do anything but not kill him. For his part, he paid no attention to him. He had already decided what to do with him. Whatever he said, his life was on the line.
His men, as usual, had left their victims in a clearing cleared of trees. They never asked questions, only carried out their boss’s orders. Daren dispatched them and was left alone with Steven.
-Daren, listen. Eve was a mistake, she… She was crazy, she jumped on me with that knife and I only defended myself.
-You were trying to abuse her. -You were trying to abuse her. Your dirty smell was impregnated in her body.
-No, it’s not like that… -She… She… She came like crazy looking for her sister and me.
-SHUT UP!
She grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and continued dragging his body along the ground as if it weighed absolutely nothing. They walked for a long time until they reached the place where his boys used to feed.
Steven looked at the gloomy place, full of bones, traces of clothes, hair, a shoe or two scattered around. He began to sweat, beads of sweat running down his back like a waterfall. He was afraid, he was afraid of what the man next to him was going to do to him.
-Here you will serve your punishment Steven.
-What? -No, wait…
-You’re not worth having as my slave. You’re rubbish.
-No Daren… he crawled to his feet, begging for his life.
-Let go of me, you piece of shit.
It didn’t take long for a pack of grey wolves with pitch black eyes to appear, he turned to look at them and screamed, his eyes wide as saucers. He was crying because of the fear that those animals around him were enveloping him.
They circled around him, tasting each other and baring their sharp fangs. Thick, white slime spewed from their snouts, they snarled and narrowed their eyes, staring at their prey. They were waiting for only one thing to attack. The command of their alpha.
-You will be their food. Daren said behind him, stepping out of the circle.
-Don’t leave me alone with these wolves. Please… Please… I beg.
-I brought you for them to eat, I’m not taking you anywhere. He said laughing.
-No… No… Please… Please…
-It’s all yours, boys!
