Yvette was slightly stunned, and she looked up at Xavier and honestly answered, "I don't know. I just want to take good care of the kids now."

She also wanted to take back everything that belonged to the Snyder family. Then, after she gave birth, she would use the cord blood for Noah's surgery. "If you mind, we should just "

Before she could finish her words, he interrupted her. "I don't mind it."

There was no way he wouldn't mind it. However, if he told her how he felt, she would want to leave again. Xavier had never had such a humbling experience before.

"It's cold out here. Shall I carry you back inside?" he asked with a hoarse voice, and she could feel his warm breath on her head.

She hurriedly shook her head. "No. I can walk by myself."

After struggling out of his embrace, she quickly returned to the manor. Xavier steadily followed behind her.

Although it was snowing, Yvette didn't feel cold that day at all. Xavier just sat by her side as he typed away on his keyboard. Since he couldn't see anything, the keyboard he was using was one that had been made specifically for blind people. Yvette was reading a book next to him, and he would move closer to her from time to time. It was a huge couch, but he kept getting close to her like it wasn't that spacious.

"I'm heading out for a walk." Yvette stood up.

He grabbed her hand. "Let's go together."

"Don't you have work to do?" she asked in confusion.

"Since it's Christmas today, I don't have to work."

"Fine."

Yvette went to get changed. When she came back down, she noticed that Xavier was wearing the bright down jacket that she had bought for him recently. He looked gentler because of it, and she was stunned.

Xavier couldn't see how he looked in the jacket she had bought him, so he could only ask her about it. "How do I look?"

"Not bad at all," she answered honestly.

After saying that, she left a note for

Noah, saying that they would be

back in two hours. Noah would usually steep for three hours. Since

Ray hadn't had anything to do recently, he drove Yvette and Xavier people out.

"Ray, let's celebrate Christmas together tonight," said Yvette. Xavier was sitting at the side, and his face immediately turned grim. Ray was too eye-catching, and Xavier had to keep his guard up around him. "I'll pass."

Ray wanted to tell Yvette something in private. Seeing how Xavier was there, he decided to keep it to himself.

When they got out of the car after reaching their destination, he said to Yvette, "Enjoy yourselves. Give me a call when you're done."

"Sure. Thank you."

Xavier listened to the both of them as they spoke. They sounded more like friends than a boss and her subordinate.

As he walked on the street with Yvette, he couldn't help asking, "Don't you think it's more convenient to have a female bodyguard around? I can ask Mark to get one for you."

"There's no need for that. It's nice to have Ray around. He's capable as well." She rejected his offer right away.

Xavier frowned a little when he

heard that. It was true that Ray was a capable man. However, he was a good-looking guy as well. Mark also said that Ray seemed more like the heir of a wealthy family thana bodyguard.

Xavier had gotten someone to investigate Ray before, but there wasn't much he could replace about him.

It was lively on the street, and it had been a while since Yvette had been in an environment like that. She bought a lot of snacks and wanted to have them during the Christmas celebration that night.

As they were buying the snacks, the staff would look at Xavier from time to time. He seemed cold and flawless.

The staff was so focused on him that the food was almost burned. So, Yvette immediately said to Xavier, "You should back up a few feet."

Xavier obediently turned around and

took seven steps. He waited for her as she stood in front of him. Once she had gotten the snacks, she

made her way back to him net

see two young ladies approaching

him.

"Excuse me, mister. May I have your number?"
