Unclaimed Luna’s Desire -
Chapter 51 The Disappearance of Ellie
Aelros'
POV:
Man, I was a mess. Cuts and bruises everywhere, covered in dirt and leaves. I looked like I'd been through a war zone.
I didn't bother turning on the lights. Just stood there in the dark until my legs went numb. Eventually, I dragged myself to the couch in the living room. The news about Ellie leaving had sucked the life out of me. I kept thinking, 'Did Ellie really leave on her own? Has she been planning this? Does she hate me?'
I felt like I'd lost my warmth, colder than when my blood dried up earlier. It was unbearable.
There was this sharp pain in my chest where the Moonlight Herb had been. Was it a side effect?
I'd never felt like this before.
Usually, I'm the rational one. Even when my life's on the line, I can keep my cool and figure things out.
But now? My mind was a mess. I had no clue what to do.
It was like my thoughts were a tangled ball of yarn, and I couldn't calm down.
I thought I was losing it.
I couldn't breathe, and my brain felt starved of oxygen.
I almost died getting those herbs for her, and I didn't even get to give them to her. Now Ellie didn't want them, or me.
For the first time, I felt what it was like to be abandoned by someone I cared about. It was like being stranded on a frozen island.
The pain from my mom leaving me was nothing compared to this.
I was pissed and hurt, emotions taking over as I shook, not from fear, but from an adrenaline rush.
I wanted to grab Ellie and never let go. It felt like the only way to control everything about her.
I slammed my hand on the table. It shattered into pieces, collapsing on the carpet like ruins.
Wood chips dug into my palm, blood everywhere.
But I didn't feel the pain. My heart felt like it had been ripped open, a piece missing, making me look like a madman.
I thought maybe I was too injured, my mind and brain not working right.
Logically, I needed Amy to patch me up, but my emotions were screaming at me to replace Ellie.
As I calmed down a bit, I realized Ellie wouldn't have left on her own. She'd begged me to keep her, no matter what.
Ellie had no reason to leave after I agreed to everything she wanted.
The only one who made sense was Weslin, that slimy leader of the outsiders who'd always wanted her. He must've taken Ellie while I was away.
It had to be him!
On the surface, he was a professor everyone trusted, but I'd dug into his past. Weslin wasn't as nice as he seemed. Cold-blooded creatures can't care about others. Weslin could fake it, act like he cared about his students, teach seriously, but it was all an act.
The thought of Weslin taking Ellie made me lose it again.
I didn't even change out of my torn shirt. I rushed out, bare-chested, heading straight for Weslin's place.
When I got there, he was watering the flowers Ellie had planted.
I glared at Weslin, who looked calm with one hand in his pocket. I stepped into his garden and raised my fist to strike him.
I shook my head, and as I swung, silver fur sprouted all over my skin. My muscles bulged, nails grew into claws, and I transformed into a werewolf.
I ambushed Weslin, knocking him down with a punch. The hose went wild, flailing around the garden like a snake.
"You maniac!" Weslin shouted, spitting blood onto the grass as he slowly got up.
He was still pretending, brushing the dirt off his suit, and asked me calmly, "Why are you hitting me?"
"You know damn well why!" I snarled, crouching down, staring him down.
Weslin glanced behind me, his true nature showing when he didn't see Ellie.
"I know?" Weslin quickly closed the distance, grappling with me. "You took my Ellie. What else do I know?"
"Don't lie to me!" I clawed at his chest, but he blocked it. "Where's Ellie? Give her back!"
"What? You lost Ellie?" Weslin stopped fighting, stepped back, and looked at me with malice and indifference.
"Aelros, you useless fool," Weslin sneered, his eyes full of anger.
I felt like I was being targeted by a venomous snake.
Weslin clenched his fist and punched me. "You took Ellie from me. I thought you'd at least protect her!"
"You actually lost my Ellie!" Weslin repeated. "You idiot!"
My cheeks swelled up, and my mouth filled with the taste of blood.
Weslin questioned my negligence, but I was too preoccupied.
Normally, if someone insulted me, I'd fight back with everything I had.
But now, I was too anxious. I needed to replace Ellie, no time to waste on Weslin.
It seemed like Weslin genuinely didn't know where Ellie was, or he wouldn't be so desperate.
I thought, 'If Weslin didn't take her, then who did? Who else cares about Ellie?'
I was lost in confusion.
I realized I knew too little about Ellie.
When things went south, I didn't even know who she hung out with or what she did.
But it was too late now.
Weslin's POV:
I wasn't mad at Aelros' recklessness; he was always disgusting, and I was used to it. What worried me was Ellie being missing.
Aelros actually lost Ellie, my sweetheart!
This idiot!
When Aelros took Ellie from me, he swore he'd protect her, but in just a few days, he lost her.
Where could Ellie be?
This was a big problem.
Damn Aelros had been blocking my messages and restricting my actions since taking Ellie, so I hadn't heard anything about her.
My investigative power was limited, but luckily, my followers would be here soon.
Even in the Pack's territory, if they threatened my interests, I'd turn against them.
Ellie's disappearance was enough to make me angry and turn against them.
I immediately sent out a task to all my followers to replace Ellie.
After a while, a huge python slithered out of the bushes, its head as thick as a bucket, bowing respectfully. "Leader."
"Any news?" I asked.
"I heard that William met Ellie."
'William? The same idiot as Aelros, with the same father?' I thought.
I nodded and waved it away.
I accepted the Silvermoon Pack's invitation to teach at Spirit Wolf University, which meant I couldn't use my connections openly.
The python's presence in the Silvermoon Pack was alarming.
Things were more complicated than I thought.
It seemed I had to cooperate with Aelros for Ellie's sake, even though I despised him. Werewolves were a bunch of simple-minded idiots.
