Paul's POV:

If William had indeed sent Ellie, he would surely be nearby, hiding in the shadows and waiting to attack. I stayed put, quickly scanning the area for any potential threats. It was obvious that William's intelligence wouldn't allow him to make such a decision.

As soon as I arrived at the cabin, I saw Aelros standing outside, arms crossed.

"Hi, bro!" I agilely jumped in front of Aelros, teasing him, "Why are you out here in the wind? Today is indeed a good day to stargaze. Where is our beautiful Ellie?"

Although the downpour was gradually easing, it was still drizzling heavily.

I slowly opened my heavy eyelids, feeling much better after a night's rest.

In an instant, I locked eyes with Aelros sitting on the sofa in the room.

Aelros propped his chin with one hand and held a steaming cup of coffee with the other, quietly observing me from the shadows.

"Awake?" He got up, placed the coffee cup down, and walked over to me.

I couldn't believe it was him who had saved me. I thought everything that had happened the previous night was just my imagination. Aelros approached, and as he stood in front of me, I noticed dark circles under his eyes.

'Did Aelros really take care of me all night? ;Unbelievable!' I thought.

"Sorry for causing you trouble." I felt that my wounds had been carefully bandaged all over my body, and I smiled gratefully at Aelros.

It seemed that I had crossed paths with Aelros again inadvertently.

This time, God granted me the chance to be alone with him, and I thought I should explain to him what had really happened on the day of the transformation.
