Under the Heiress' Facade -
Chapter 549
Everyone in the ballroom looked at Tyler and began gushing.
Completely unbothered, he brought Hera to the tables.
Sitting and chit-chatting at the main table was Connor Presgrave. His face fell when he noticed the change in his son's hair color, but he broke into a smile when he saw who was standing next to Tyler.
Dr. Shadow!
Connor had been searching for every famous doctor in the world to treat his son, who was in a coma. Now, the only ones on the list were Catherine and Hera.
In Jedburgh, the Presgrave family was one of the top ten most influential families. However, they were just normal people at Youngworth Miracle Clinic.
They had to make appointments to be treated by Catherine or Hera. Hera didn't give them any privileges! Connor didn't expect Tyler to invite Dr. Shadow over. This was surely the best present he received tonight.
Meanwhile, his wife's expression darkened as she was perturbed by Tyler's appearance.
Had Fiona's son not been in a coma due to an accident, Connor wouldn't have brought Tyler home back then. Tyler was an illegitimate child! Before Fiona could say something, Lorna Presgrave hit it out at Tyler, "What's with that hair? Are you trying to steal the spotlight from Dad? It's his birthday!"
As the mother, Fiona had predisposed Lorna to hate Bernard.
"Behave, Lorna." Connor rose from his seat and stretched out his hand at Hera with a smile. "Welcome, Dr. Shadow."
Hera nodded. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Connor. Let's forgo the handshake."
Her refusal didn't bother him as he led her to the main table. "It's alright. Come, have a seat."
Lorna felt wronged and angry at the same time. She didn't expect that Tyler could invite Hera over when she failed to do so.
Turning around and hugging Fiona's arm, she grumbled, "Mom, Dad scolded me..."
Fiona forced a smile at Hera as a greeting sign. The moment Fiona turned around to face Connor, her expression turned grim.
"Why are you always siding Tyler? Did Lorna say something wrong? Look at his hair! Is he trying to steal the spotlight to announce that he's an illegitimate child? We'll be the joke of the year!"
Connor didn't like it either as he ordered, "You'd better dye your hair color back soon."
"Nope! My girlfriend picked this hair color for me. Tyler's hand reflexively reached out for Hera, but the itchy sensation reminded him to stop. In the end, he gestured to introduce her, Here's my girlfriend, He
Before Tyler could finish, someone pulled Hera away.
She was caught off-guard as she bumped into a solid chest. The man's familiar faint scent of tobacco enveloped her. She looked up, and the man's perfect features came into view. Her heart skipped
swnbeat.
"Tyler Presgrave, do you have a death wish? How dare you steal my woman!" Bernard growled.
"It's over between the two of you, Bernard Killian. Get out of her life. She's my girlfriend now." Tyler didn't back off.
Now that Bernard had caged Hera with his arms, Tyler didn't care about the itchy powder anymore. He grabbed her hand to pull her over.
However, Bernard tightened his arm around her, his gaze flaring dangerously. "Who said we broke up?"
"Face up to reality, man! Hera admitted it too!" Tyler sneered.
The glint in Bernard's eyes darkened. "Do we have to report our couple games to you?"
Tyler didn't know how to rebut that and looked at Hera, signaling her to say something.
"Tyler, let go of her!" Connor instructed as more and more guests were looking in their direction.
The majority was aware that
Bernard and Hera were a couple. In
addition to Tyler's green hair, the
fact that he became the third person
in their relationship would be disgrace to the family's name.
However, the fearless Tyler didn't release her hand.
Stuck in between, Hera was speechless. She nudged at Bernard. "Let me go."
His expression darkened. "Tell him to let go of your hand first."
He was enraged that she told him to release her first instead of Tyler.
