Waited For The Luna -
Chapter 11
I felt reborn after my one-week stay in Black River. It’s like I no longer want to leave. Everything is so perfect, Black River is perfect, that night was perfect, the k**s and most especially Collin.
I got up early in the morning, Felix loaded my bag in my car and Alice was giving me a year’s worth of stock of produce.
“Hand this to your father for me.” She handed me a box of peaches.
“Thank you so much Alice!” I hugged her to thank her for welcoming me. “Thank you, Felix.”
“I hope to see you soon as luna.” He replied suggestively.
“Once you come back I hope you’re marked and mated by a proper wolf” she announced while glaring at Collin.
I then looked back and realized that Collin was standing by my car. I walked to him as Alice and Felix gave us a little privacy.
“Uhm so goodbye.” I told Collin, with a sad smile.
“I really hope you don’t leave Bellamy.” He said.
“You can always visit me at White Moon. Besides you mentioned you have relatives there.” I suggested.
“Don’t worry that won’t take long. I’ll miss you.”
I gave him a long hug. Before entering my car he held my hand and tied a bracelet on my wrist. I was shocked but smiled at him.
“What’s this?” I asked.
“I got a witch made this for you. It could block the mate bond so you won’t feel the pain for a while. It’s not permanent though. But don’t worry I’ll come taking you back before the effect wears out” He said as he leaned in for a little goodbye k**s.
After saying my goodbyes, I jumped into my car and drove back to White Moon.
By the afternoon I was already home extremely stiff and tired after 6 hours of driving. The house looked empty as I entered. I then dropped down the peaches on the counter and got myself a glass of water.
Feeling tired I decided to rest on the couch before taking my stuff out. Just as I entered the living room I saw Noah and Abigail in an awkward position.
“OH MY GOD!” I blurted fast, almost choking on the peach I just peeled.
“What the f*ck Bellamy! Why are you here?” He screamed at the top of his lungs, while Abigail was naked underneath him.
I chuckled a little at the awkwardness. These two are seriously having s*x on the couch when there’s a perfectly built bed in his room. They then. “I’m sorry!” I said while leaning on the wall laughing. “I promised I didn’t see anything”
“Get out Bellamy. Go busy yourself outside.” Noah said while panicking.
“There are peaches in the kitchen if you want a snack”
“Are you crazy just go out for a while? And don’t come back till it’s dark!”
Not wanting to interrupt them I made my way out the back door before teasing. “Next time use your room! There’s more space there” I then closed the door.
I sat on the swing in our backyard and fished out my phone.
I then felt excited when I saw the notifications.
‘Huh! Collin texted’
“Hey gorgeous U home?”
“Yeah. I just got back. Thank you for the bracelet. My mind feels refreshed.”
“I’m coming to White moon.” He could’ve at least surprised me. Now I’ll anticipate his arrival all the time.
“Really when?”
“Secret.”
Our texting went on until the evening. We were talking about random high school stuff. It was sweet and fun. We were texting about everything for a whole week.
The bracelet he got me seems to be working really fine. During school, I’d passed by Luka. They seemed to stop bothering me. I didn’t feel connected to Luka at all.
“Gosh babe I missed you so much” Macy greeted as she hugged me.
“I missed you too!” I hugged her back.
“I thought you were dead. You didn’t even send me a text while you were away.”
“Well, I met someone.” Macy’s eyes widened.
“Is he your mate! You have to tell me all the details right now!”
I haven’t really told Macy about Luka so I guess this was the time to explain everything. I asked her to sit down in one of the lounges in the school. I told her everything from Luka to Collin. How caring he was towards me throughout that week.
“So this Collin. Are you in love with him?” Macy asked.
To be honest I feel really secure with Collin but to say I’m in love is moving way too fast plus I have a mate so falling in love with someone is not really an easy idea even if I try to force myself into it.
“I don’t Macy. But I really like him. He even got me this before I left.” I then lifted my wrist and showed her the knitted bracelet. “What is that ugly thing?” She said. It doesn’t look fashionable, but it was a hundred percent effective.
“It’s a mate blocking bracelet. This is why I don’t feel the bond with Luka anymore. It does wear off in a few months”
“Aren’t you scared?” Macy asked. “Scared of what?”
“I mean what if you feel a surge of mixed feelings once you remove it. I mean it’s like a wall blocking a stampede.” Macy said.
“Luka’s gonna want to reject me by then. And then Collin will come here and mark me and then take me to Black River.”
“Hello! This doesn’t sound like the Bellamy I know. 2 weeks ago you were hungry for med school. Plus what if he replaces his mate.” She said.
“I’d have to talk to him about that. And as for his mate, he doesn’t want to do anything to her, so he’ll reject once he sees her.”
That was true. I did forget to mention med school plus, I don’t even know if Collin and I are official. The future is uncertain, especially for a fickle-minded high school student. But I didn’t care. I’ll just cross the bridge when we get there.
School ended, and I was now walking out of the doors towards my car. I then got a whiff of that familiar scent. I instantly got excited and ran.
