“Sit down.” Joseph insisted.

“Mr. Banks, do you not understand what I’m saying? I’m very busy, and I don’t have the time to spare…”
Joseph shouted, “I asked you to sit! Are you deaf? Do you need to narrow your eyes at me while I talk to you? Who do you think you are? I show you some respect, and you think you can walk all over me?
“Don’t forget who helped you rise up the ranks in the first place and who has been securing resources for you every year! Do you think your paltry achievements would be enough to snatch funding from Christine without my help? Indeed, a dog that is too well–fed will bite the hand that feeds it!”
Sophie was completely stunned by his outburst. “You… How could you…”
Joseph had never lost his temper at her like this before.
“I’ll repeat one more time. Sit. Down!”
Sophie didn’t dare to defy him. She pulled out a chair and sat down obediently.
“Why are you looking for me?” she asked, speaking with extra caution.
Sneering, Joseph picked up the invitation on the table and threw it right at her face. “Why? You still have the nerve to ask why? Read it yourself!”
Even though she got hit right in the face with the invitation, Sophie didn’t dare to make a sound. Puzzled, she picked up the invitation from the floor and read it.
After two seconds, she exclaimed, “A lab opening ceremony? How is that possible?”
“Why not? Mr. Sinclair just threw the invitation in my face earlier and said that the administration received one too. How could this be fake?”
“Miranda actually took this news to the chancellor? She… she’s just-” Sophie couldn’t replace the words to express her shock and anger.
Perhaps she understood that things wouldn’t be so easily resolved now that the administration was alerted about this.
Sophie took a deep breath and gritted her teeth. “In any case, I don’t believe Miranda’s group really managed to build a lab. It’s probably just a bluff to throw us off balance!”
Joseph clearly agreed with her view. He said, “Now that the administration is aware of this, our only way out is to expose Miranda’s team for lying and stirring up a commotion. Otherwise…”
Sophie thought that her misdeeds were well–hidden, but in actual fact, they were full of holes. Things seemed calm now because the higher–ups hadn’t looked into it. If they were to investigate thoroughly, none of them would end up unscathed!
Sophie said, “It’s the opening ceremony tomorrow. I don’t believe they can conjure up a whole lab out of thin air!”
Joseph agreed, “It’s not just you. The faculty and administration don’t believe it either. Since Miranda’s group has made such a public display, we can’t just sit back and take it lying down.”

Chapter 0610
Sophie’s heart sank. “What do you mean?”
Joseph narrowed his eyes. “Everyone loves a good show, so it’s better for more people to enjoy it rather than us alone. If Miranda wants a show, I’ll help her make it a fanfare! William, come in!”
William entered the room immediately. “Mr. Banks, did you call me?”
“Go and notify the college’s publicity department to send a few reporters and writers from the Campus Daily to join us tomorrow at the lab opening ceremony by Miranda’s team.”
Things would get interesting once everyone was gathered eagerly for the opening ceremony, but Miranda couldn’t produce a lab.
Their wrongs would seem minor in comparison to the three students teaming up with their professor to fool the faculty and the college administration.
Sophie smirked. “In the end, experience is what counts
Tomorrow, they would get to watch Miranda shooting herself in the foot. Just the thought of it made Sophie feel gleeful. “I’ll bring a few students from my team as well.”
Joseph grinned. “Bring them all. The more, the merrier.
