When Love Comes Late -
Chapter 926
“Alright, I’ll inform my dad about your appointment tonight.
I won’t intrude further.
”
“Thank you,” Matthew replied politely.
After Leslie left, Stella’s gaze lingered on Matthew.
“Are you sure you’re okay? Do you think we should go to the hospital for a check-up?”
Matthew tenderly caressed her cheek as a soft smile spread across his face.
“I’m really okay; don’t worry.
”
Stella’s eyes brimmed with tears as she hugged him tightly.
“I missed you so much,” she whispered.
Surprise flickered in Matthew’s eyes, but he quickly enveloped her in a warm embrace.
“I’ve missed you too.
I’m sorry for earlier.
I should have approached the situation more calmly, rather than arguing…”
“Stop it.
It was all my fault,” Stella interjected, her voice muffled against his chest.
“I was the one who misunderstood.
”
Matthew gently lifted her chin and pressed his forehead against hers.
“How about you treat me to dinner tonight, then? Let’s put this behind us and start afresh, okay?”
“Of course!” Stella’s face lit up, her lips forming a broad smile.
Matthew and Stella arranged for Mateo to visit Prosper Bay after dinner.
It was Stella’s first meeting with the doctor, and she noticed a faint resemblance to Leslie.
“Hello, Dr.
Aguilar.
I’m Stella,” Stella said, greeting him warmly.
Mateo nodded in acknowledgment and stated his name before getting straight to the point.
“Mr.
Clark, is the treatment room ready?”
Matthew nodded.
Mateo had recommended conducting the treatment in a familiar setting, believing it would facilitate a more comfortable and effective session.
He had, therefore, asked Matthew to set up the necessary arrangements beforehand.
Matthew led Mateo to Stella’s room so he could begin the treatment right away.
As Stella sat facing Mateo, she felt nervous.
Matthew stood behind her, offering silent support.
