Chapter 218

Chapter 218

After hearing Sylvie's innocent remarks, Patricia couldn't help but laugh.

"Okay, I'll definitely poke him."

The man was so frightened that he broke out into cold sweats. Likewise, the expression on his facebecame increasingly twisted in fear. Breathing heavily, he kept staring at the needle, for he feared thatit would get in contact with his skin. Both this woman and this child are really extraordinary. How canthey even discuss with each other about poking me under such a circumstance?

Suddenly, a trace of harsh countenance glimpsed across Blake's eyes. I have experienced too muchbloodshed in life. Regardless of how terrifying the scene is, I can withstand them all. So, I will not beafraid of such a trivial threat today. As he thought of that, he curved the corners of his mouth into asinister smirk. We shall replace out later if these two can make it out or not.

Patricia felt much safer knowing that those people in the house couldn't get out after the door waslocked. As long as we go downstairs and get into the car, I'll knock this man out before escaping andreplaceing our way home. Later, we'll move out of the house and live elsewhere. Patricia had everythingwell planned out.

"Walk," she said coldly, as she pushed the man in front of her.

With that, the man took a step. One after another, the three of them went down the stairs in anuncomfortable manner.

Patricia turned her head to look at Sylvie and exhorted, "Sylvie, be careful not to fall."

Since she didn't need to clutch Patricia's clothes anymore now, she walked downstairs cautiously.

When they arrived on the third floor, Patricia realized there were no lights on this section of the path, and the surroundings were very dark.

Feeling afraid, Sylvie leaned to Patricia's side. "Tricia… it's so dark…"

After all, children are mostly afraid of the dark, especially little girls, who dislike the dark even more.Patricia pursed her lips and wished she could hold her daughter's small hand to make her feel safe. However, she couldn't do so now, for she had to control the man in front of her. Otherwise, it would bedifficult for them to leave.

All of a sudden, Sylvie screamed, "Ah!"

She missed her step and rolled down the stairs. Patricia was extremely freaked out. At once, she let goof the man and called out Sylvie's name, "Sylvie… Sylvie…"

At this moment, Patricia was in utter despair. She didn't care if they could make it out or not anymore. For now, all she hoped was that Sylvie was fine. Taking out her phone, Patricia turned on the flashlight. She ran down the stairs to where Sylvie fell, and when she got to Sylvie, she saw that blood wasoozing out from the wound on Sylvie's forehead.

Patricia was scared to death. As she half-hugged Sylvie, she cried out, "S-Sylvie!"

However, Sylvie didn't respond. Seizing this opportunity, Blake took out his gun and pressed it againstPatricia's head.

"Dare to siege me, do you? Now, you will die!"

However, Patricia paid no attention to Blake's words at all. With tears raining down her cheeks, shekept calling out to Sylvie. Yet, not once did Sylvie respond.

Suddenly, she raised her head and said, "Sylvie, I'll take you to the hospital."

With that, she immediately picked Sylvie up. Just as she was about to leave, Blake grabbed her.

"I forbid you to go."

Then, he dragged her upstairs. As Patricia watched blood dripping down Sylvie's forehead, she felt shewas about to go crazy.

"I want to take my daughter to the hospital. She's injured. Please."

However, no matter how much Patricia begged him, Blake didn't care, for he held no importance to thelives of those in his hands. All he wanted was money. Want to leave? Sure, you can leave only afteryou pay off what you owe. As for the rest, I don't care!

"It's no use begging me. Now, go up."

As he spoke, he dragged her. In the meantime, despair was written all over Patricia's eyes. Right thereand then, she blamed herself for putting Sylvie in harm's way. Her heart was in immense pain, and she

trembled all over.

At the same time, several cars stopped outside the dilapidated residential building. Inside Isaac's car,two little boys were busy with their laptops when Stellan suddenly said, "Scott, according to the tracker,Sylvie and Mommy are here somewhere in that building."

Glancing at them lightly, Isaac thought, These two boys act even faster than the police. Then, with hiseyes squinted slightly, he said to the two boys, "Send me the address, and I'll send someone up torescue them right away."

Scott sent the address to Issac, who immediately sent it to his subordinates. 'Quickly head up andrescue Miss Aniston and Sylvie.'

After sending the message, he pushed open the door and got out of the car, followed by Scott andStellan. Since these three men were worried sick about the two ladies, they just had to head up andcheck on them in person. The three quickly made their way toward the old-looking building when theysaw Patricia running down with blood all over her while carrying Sylvie, whose face was covered withblood, in her arms.
