08 - Chapter Eight - Quinn's Wolfin's Point Of View.

When I woke up my father was feeding Forest in the kitchen, he lookedmore than happy to have Forest with him. My father only noticed mewhen I spoke.

"The way you act with Forest is amazing, I've only had him for a dayand you already act like he's you're real blood grandson,” I said

"He will always be my grandson blood or not, because if you say he'syour son, then he's your son, a gift from the moon goddess he is!"Forest's eyes opened and he kind of smile, a baby smile, it warmed myheart in ways I had never ever felt. Mated and a parent, My lifereminded me of those super cheesy romance movies.

Kane and I would be moving onto his pack land in a few days, at first Ithought I couldn't leave my father but, my father packed all my stuffand said I needed to be with my mate. I agreed. I felt something forhim and really wanted to explore that.

The day came when I was to move, Forest was packed in his car seat wehad to buy last minute. We said goodbye to my father Leanna and wereon our way to our home, as Kane called it.

When we arrived at the Crystal Blue wolfpack a man came running atKane's car, Kane never stopped him as we got out of the car. My new-found mother instincts got the best of me and I growled. I could feelmy wolf padding to get out and rip this guy to chunks where he stoodbut my mate pulled me close to him and whispered in my ear.

"Calm down, it's okay he is the Beta."

I was embarrassed but before I could hide, Forest decided to cry. Iwalked back to his car and opened it, I took Forest out of the car seatand began to rock him back and forth. The beta watched me hold mychild like a hawk and I could feel the anger roll off him, Kane pulled himaside and I heard them talking.

"That child is not yours, How can you even look at your mate knowingyour not the father?”

" The child was a gift from the moon goddess to my mate from an ElderShe-wolf I do believe, She gave that child to him, Do not assume mymate would give away what is mine."

"I apologize, I assumed he birthed that child with another.”

"All is well Tanner."

They began walking back to where I was standing, Forest was fastasleep in my arms. A bunch of wolf pups began to circle my mate theywere screaming and yelling and barking. Forest's eyes shot open andhe began to scream his face turning red, Kane looked at me and triedto make the pups be quite, instead, I moved away from Kane andwalked inside his packhouse. Suddenly Forest got snatched out myarms and I freaked out.

"Nol, Give him back please!"

Kane ran inside and took Forest from a bunch of smaller males andfemales who were fawning over him. He gave me back Forest andspoke softly.

"Quinn, these are the omega's they are weak to the charms of smallbabies, they meant you no harm."

After they all apologized and tried to give me sweets and things tomake me feel better Kane told them they were free to go aboutwhatever they wanted. Kane took me to our room and I saw that babystuff was already set up.

"I had a few of the warrior wolves set some quick baby stuff, I hope youdidn't mind"

"I don't mind"

Kane set Forest in his crib and covered him up, soon I could hear thequiet sounds of Forests breathing. He was asleep. Kane lifted me upand dropped me on the bed and began to watch me like his pray, Iwanted him, I was aroused and it felt like my skin was on fire. Kanelifted his nose in the air and took a deep breath I could see his eyes goYellow, they were glazed over with lust.

"There's something wrong Quinn! You smell all wrong!"

I could only blub like a fish for some reason I couldn't speak, no wordswould form. The pain was heavy in my midsection. It felt like I wasdying. I doubled over in pain. Kane grabbed me and ran with me in hisarms. This was such a pain I had never known before.
