Chapter 1658: Standout

The next morning, Joyce, Luther, Anderson, and Darrin boarded aprivate plane to Mufron. The flight was long, so they turned on the WIFIand let Anderson play on his computer. It was the first time Darrin hadseen Anderson's skills and was amazed.

“You are too amazing. I heard that you escaped from Otis’s surveillanceby cracking their security program with a micro-computer. I thought itwas just a legend, but it turns out to be true," said Darrin.

Anderson glanced at Darrin and replied, "I don't need legends."

Darrin liked Anderson and said, "You already have such great skills. Letme teach you karate. I am a top-level instructor and have ranked in thetop five in the national competition.”

"Just because you can fight doesn't mean you can teach,” Andersonreplied.

Darrin was annoyed and said, "Who said I can't teach? I am aprominent instructor and have taught many new recruits.”

Anderson just said "Oh." He wasn't particularly interested, but he knewhe needed to learn these skills to protect himself, just like his parents.Joyce interrupted and said, "Anderson, you can learn from Darrin. It's agood time to start at your age."

"Okay," Anderson agreed.

“Darrin, the Commander-in-Chief has assigned me a task," said Darrinsuddenly.

"What is it?" Joyce asked curiously.

"The Commander-in-Chief wants you to improve your fighting skills,"Darrin replied seriously.

Luther frowned and said, "She's pregnant and can't train right now."

"I know. The Commander-in-Chief's intention is to put this on theagenda after the birth of the child,” Darrin replied.

“It's a long time from now. Why discuss it now? Whether you will stayhere or not is still uncertain,” Luther said nonchalantly, looking at hisphone.

Darrin felt that Mr. Warner didn't want him to stay in Khebury for long, even though his rank was high. However, he still enjoyed what he wasdoing.

Joyce noticed Luther reading the news and asked, "What news are youreading so attentively?"

"I'm reading about the struggle of the Rohomes royal family. It hasreached a critical point. This article explains the history of the Rohomesroyal family," Luther explained.

"Why are you suddenly interested in these things?" Joyce asked.

“I'm not really interested. This issue has gained a lot of attentionrecently. I just happened to come across it and read a little. It's said thatone of the princes has half-Pascaylia blood and is a popular candidatein the upcoming royal succession,” Luther said, sitting next to Joyceand holding her in his arms.

“You didn't sleep well last night. Do you want to rest for a while? We stillhave time before we arrive in Mufron," he asked.

"Yes, I'm a little tired," Joyce nodded. She had been thinking too muchabout visiting Iris's grave and hadn't slept well.

Luther pressed a button and their seats slowly reclined until theybecame a bed. The partition between them and the cargo holdautomatically closed, creating a small bedroom inside the private plane.Joyce lay down and snuggled into Luther's arms. Luther covered herwith a blanket and closed the blackout curtain.

"Sleep tight," he whispered softly to her.

Joyce was really tired and fell asleep quickly. Luther watched hersleeping peacefully and felt warm inside.

He continued reading the news, but his eyebrows furrowed tighter andtighter. Why did he always smell danger between the lines?

All signs indicated that OGW was reliving the Jianghu. They hadinexplicably pursued him years ago, and it was because of them that hemet Joyce. Joyce had used a boomerang to drive them away, and thatwas the beginning of it all.

OGW had chased him a few more times after that, but then they haddisappeared. He had always been curious about why OGW haddisappeared.

Now they had reappeared, and was it related to the upcoming royalsuccession in Rohomes? It seemed too coincidental.

Or was it related to him?

He fell into deep thought.

On the other side, at Garden Manor, Grizela brought a stack ofdocuments to Reuben'’s study.

“Your Highness, these are the documents related to Joyce. I haveprinted them out for you to review," Grizela said.

Reuben lazily reclined on the sofa, and he took the documents fromher.

As he read through the beginning, he suddenly sat up straight in shock.Joyce, the daughter of the Heath family, a warlord, and a lieutenantgeneral. Oh my god, she was the heiress of the Heath family, whichhad been involved in the recent military split and merger of Pascaylia. She was said to be theyoungest and most popular female lieutenantgeneral in Pascaylia.

He knew she was extraordinary, but he didn't expect her to be soexceptional.

He continued reading through the documents. She was the founderand CEO of JK Intelligence and a former champion in shootingcompetitions.

CEO, lieutenant general, and champion shooter! Her resume wasimpressive.

When he read that she was already married to Luther, his expressionbecame gloomy. What a pity, she was already married.

Luther. He had heard of that name before. He was the CEO of R&SGroup and the richest man in Pascaylia. They also had a lovely four-year-old child. They truly were a match made in heaven.

Reuben smiled and looked at the documents. Joyce, she was reallysomething.

He looked forward to meeting her again. It was bound to happen.
