You Hit My Heart
Chapter 1720: Falling Out

Chapter 1720: Falling Out

Alisha was about to speak.

At this moment, Athena entered the room.

“I heard that she got up and went to the bathroom by herself at noon, but accidentally fell near the door and scraped herself,” Athena saidfiercely, glaring at Alisha.

Luther turned to look at Athena, his dark eyes narrowing.

"Alisha, tell Daddy if that's what happened,” Athena warned.

Alisha lowered her head, then nodded. She hugged Luther tightly, afraid to speak any further. Mommy was so fierce and scary. She felt asense of fear towards Athena, so she held onto Luther tightly, relying onhim even more.

"Because of poor supervision, the person on duty at noon has alreadybeen fired," Athena pushed her wheelchair towards Luther, gettingcloser to his side. "Alisha is also my beloved."

Before approaching, Luther stood up abruptly. He took out the medicalkit that Jamie had left in the cabinet and walked towards Alisha.Removing half of Alisha's sleeve, he carefully unwrapped the previousbandage layer by layer. Due to the oozing blood, some parts weresticky and difficult to separate. He patiently used alcohol swabs togently separate them.

Occasionally, when he accidentally touched the wound, Alisha cried inpain.

Luther gently patted her shoulder, comforting her in a soft voice. "Hangin there, it'll get better soon. Daddy will take care of you."

He soothed Alisha while removing the bandage, and the makeshiftdressing worried him. He was afraid that the rough handling mightworsen the wound.

When the bandage was completely removed, he was shocked to seethe grotesque and terrifying wound, even though he had imagined it tobe quite severe, the actual situation was even worse than he hadexpected.

How could this be a self-inflicted injury? Although he knew Athena waslying, he didn't expect the lie to be so outrageous.

It was clearly a whip wound!

No wonder he smelled the unusual scent of blood in the air as soon ashe entered, and he could almost imagine what had happened and whythe two black-clad individuals guarding the door were nowhere to beseen.

Damn Athena, a bloodthirsty and cruel woman.

He closed his eyes briefly, gritting his teeth. For now, it was important totreat Alisha's wound. The infected wound could lead to a fever, and thesituation was not optimistic. If sepsis occurred, the consequenceswould be unimaginable.

He evenly sprinkled the best anti-inflammatory powder left by Jamieonto the wound. He also gave Alisha some medicine.

Alisha obediently watched, only making soft hums when the painbecame unbearable. She didn't want to worry Daddy too much, shewas already strong enough, enduring it all.

While applying the medication, Luther occasionally glanced at Alisha, his eyes filled with tenderness. She was his daughter, his cherishedand beloved treasure. He couldn't bear to see even a single strand ofher hair harmed.

Athena, how dare she!

The bandage in his hand was almost torn apart by him. He took a fewdeep breaths. After he finished applying the medicine and made surethere was no more bleeding, he carefully re-bandaged Alisha.

During the bandaging process, Alisha fell asleep again, drowsy andwith a flushed face. It was evident that her fever was still persisting.Athena felt a little guilty. When she saw Luther finish bandaging Alisha'swound, she approached again. "Brother Luther, is Alisha's arm alrightnow? When I came back, she was already injured. I didn't see thespecific situation, sorry, it's their carelessness..."

"Ah!" Before she could finish her words, she suddenly let out amiserable scream.

The reason was that Luther raised his arm and delivered a heavybackhand slap to her.

The sound of the slap resounded loudly in the room, the strength andanger behind it caused Athena, along with her wheelchair, to toppleover.

She fell to the ground in a sorry state, her shoulder hitting the cabinet, and the previously injured area from the gunshot received a heavyblow. The pain made her break out in a cold sweat, and tears streameddown her delicate cheeks.

He actually hit her?! She could hardly believe it.

He actually slapped her!

Luther glanced at the sleeping Alisha, then stood up and looked downat Athena, who was lying on the ground.

"Sorry, I thought there was a mosquito behind me. I waved my handand accidentally hit you,” he sneered.

Athena gritted her teeth, covering her lips, staring at Luther with hatred. She lay on the ground, her chest heaving up and down.

“Luther, did you think I would believe that? Alisha got injured, it hasnothing to do with me. You have no right to vent your anger on me!"Athena roared angrily. "You actually hit me! From childhood until now,no one has dared to hit me!"

"Heh," Luther chuckled contemptuously. “I never hit women. But you'rean exception."

Athena's eyes almost spewed fire, was she an exception? Wasn't sheworth his sympathy?

"Don't you like me?" Luther approached, stepping closer to Athena.Athena questioned in pain, tears glistening in her eyes, "Of course I likeyou. I've been patient enough for you. What else do you want?"Luther gave her a scornful glance and said, "Then continue beingpatient until you can't bear it anymore!"

Athena propped herself up on the ground, trying to sit up.

Suddenly, her fingers were forcefully stepped on by Luther, and thepain she had just relieved surged back, piercing through her.

She cried out in agony, "Brother Luther, let go! What's wrong with you? This isn't how you usually are.”

Luther leaned down, coldly staring at her. "It seems you don'tunderstand me well. I've always been like this, ruthless and mercilessin my actions. I've said before, even if Alisha loses a single hair, I won'tlet you off the hook. Whoever caused her injury, you can't escaperesponsibility. When I'm in a bad mood, no one will have it easy. Nowyou know, it's not too late.”

Athena bit her lower lip, enduring the pain, almost on the verge ofbreaking it. It was only when Luther released her pinned fingers thatshe gradually regained her breath.

She was not resigned. Trying to evoke his sympathy, she couldn'taccept his treatment of her. This was not the kind of love she wanted.“Brother Luther, could you please help me onto the wheelchair? I can'tmove." Pretending to be pitiful, she grabbed the corner of his pants. After spending some time together, she knew that being tough with himwouldn't work.

She showed weakness, appearing soft. She didn't believe he wouldremain unmoved.

After all, she was so beautiful. How many men wouldn't be tempted? But unexpectedly, Luther kicked her away. "Stop pretending! You canwalk, why do you pretend to be in a wheelchair all the time?" He hadalready seen through her and couldn't be bothered to expose it.Athena rolled on the ground twice, narrowly avoiding hitting herforehead on the door panel.

She suddenly raised her head and caught a glimpse of the cold andmocking gaze in Luther's eyes.

Her anger surged within her, and she stood up abruptly, standing infront of him.

“Luther, don't think you can provoke me without consequences! Waitand see! One day, I will make you kneel before me and beg me tomarry you."

Luther saw her true face finally revealed and a disdainful smileappeared on his lips.

In his dream, he would definitely kill her with his own hands! He wouldmake this wicked woman pay a thousand times over for every bit ofsuffering Alisha had endured!
