After bidding farewell to Reuben and Grizela, Darrin was about toreturn to the upper floor of the hospital when a familiar military vehiclecaught his eye in the distance. He immediately stood at attention andsaluted.

The military vehicle quickly approached and abruptly stopped in front ofhim. The window rolled down, and Darrin respectfully greeted, "Goodday, Madam General."

Then, he walked forward and personally opened the car door.

Cecelia nodded gently. "Hmm."

She got out of the car.

Karl got out of the car from the other side.

Darrin caught sight of Karl following Cecelia and quickly greeted withrespect, "Good day, Mr. Gregory."

Karl was now the director of the House of Inspection, and his presenceindicated that the entire capital was aware of the situation.

Darrin felt somewhat guilty and apologized first, "Madam General, Itake responsibility for this incident. It was my fault for not keeping aclose eye on the young master and neglecting matters at home. Healmost got kidnapped by OGW again.”

Cecelia waved her hand. “It's not your fault. I already have a generalunderstanding of the situation. Let's discuss it while we go upstairs.”She gestured towards Karl. “It's good that Mr. Gregory coincidentallycame along. If there's a need for police deployment here, he canconveniently allocate personnel.”

Karl extended his hand to Darrin. "You've worked hard."

Darrin felt a bit embarrassed as he shook hands with Karl. He didn'twork hard enough; he almost messed things up.

Cecelia walked ahead. "Lead the way to the ward."

"Understood." Darrin immediately led the way.

As they walked, Darrin briefly described the events that had occurredfrom last night to today. This included Luther saving Alisha andAnderson being attacked. The situation was too complicated to explainin detail, so he just briefly mentioned it.

When they reached the VIP ward, Darrin said, "Let's go to the youngmaster's room first. Alisha just received a sedative and is still sleeping.”Cecelia nodded.

Darrin pushed open the door and reported, "Young Master, Mr. Warner,Madam General, and Mr. Gregory have arrived."

Inside the room, Joyce was lying diagonally on the bed, propped up bythe bed's backrest. Luther sat by her side, one hand resting on herabdomen, feeling the movements of their children, while the other handfed her some porridge.

"They moved, they're moving,” Luther's voice was filled withexcitement. It had been a long time since he had felt them. Their twinsons were mischievous and often wreaked havoc in Joyce's belly. Hepretended to warn them, "No kicking allowed. It makes your mommyuncomfortable. Wait until you come out; I'll teach you a lesson.”

Joyce chuckled. "You're so strict; you scared them. Look, they don'tdare to move anymore."

The scene was incredibly heartwarming.

Upon hearing Darrin's voice, Luther immediately sat up straight, raisedhis head, and saw Cecelia and Karl enter together.

He quickly stood up and greeted, "Mother. You're here. I'm sorry fortroubling you again.”

At the same time, he glanced at Karl and nodded slightly. “You're heretoo."

Joyce looked at Cecelia, struggling to sit up. Cecelia quickly steppedforward to support her. “Don’t move. This is a critical period. Take goodcare of the pregnancy. I already have a general understanding of thesituation. You've suffered.”

Joyce smiled and shook her head. "Mother, I'm fine now. Alisha is finetoo. Everyone will be fine. You've worried so much, coming all the wayhere at this time. You left in the early morning, right?"

Cecelia pointed at Karl. "He has the most up-to-date information. Healready knew what happened here in the early morning."

“Yes, I have my people at Khebury Police Station and the SpecialPolice. Once they take action, I will be the first to know. Unfortunately, Iarrived too late and couldn't help with anything," Karl sighed as helooked at Joyce, her face pale and her condition worsening. He hadthought that Joyce and the others would have a peaceful time inKhebury, but unexpected events kept happening.

"Is Juanita okay? Don't tell her, so she won't worry unnecessarily. Thesituation has been resolved, and Alisha has been rescued,” Joyceforced a smile, omitting the fact that Luther was also poisoned and hiscondition was deteriorating.

"Don't worry, I won't tell her. I'll just say that I had a temporary businesstrip,” Karl smiled lightly.

"The main hall of the Warner Residence was mostly destroyed. I sentpeopleto investigate and eliminate any hidden dangers. I don't know ifOGW will have any follow-up actions or counterattacks. After you'redischarged, I advise you not to return to the Warner Residence for thetime being," Karl received a Bluetooth message and relayed it toLuther.

Luther was taken aback. Oh no, he hadn't told Joyce about Anderson'sclose call with being kidnapped.

"Oh, what about Anderson?" Cecelia happened to ask.

Luther pointed behind the screen. "He's a bit tired and fell asleep in theseparate room."

Joyce grabbed Luther's hand tightly, her beautiful eyes wide open."What did Karl mean by the Warner Residence being destroyed? Whathappened?”

Karl inadvertently slipped up, "You don't know yet? I'm sorry, I spoketoo much.”

Joyce shook her head vigorously.

Of course, she didn't know. Seeing Anderson appearing fine at thehospital, she hadn't suspected anything.

Cecelia stood up at this time. "You guys talk; I'll go and check onAnderson behind the screen.”

After speaking, she turned and walked towards the separate room.Luther explained everything in detail to Joyce, including the incidentwhere Joyce was stabbed and taken to the hospital, Anderson sendinga distress signal, Anderson hiding in the safe house, Cloud usingexplosives to destroy the door of the safe house, Vicki and Felixappearing in time, and finally, Vicki negotiating and exchangingAnderson's safety, allowing him to return safely to their side. Luther toldJoyce everything.

He knew that after Joyce was discharged, it would be impossible tokeep these things hidden. So he decided to tell her everything now.Joyce listened, stunned.

Her lips trembled uncontrollably. "What about Vicki? She fell intoCloud's hands. What will they do to her? Is she in danger?"

She never expected that Anderson's safety was secured through Vicki'sexchange. How could she accept this? She wouldn't be able to faceFelix in the future either. Vicki was already Felix's wife.

"Don't worry; Cloud won't harm Vicki's life," Karl suddenly spoke up.Joyce, as well as Luther, turned to look at Karl.

"While I'm not clear about the specifics, I have investigated this personcalled Cloud, whose real name is Rayan. He's not from Rohomes; he'sone of our people. He changed his surname later on. He and Vicki grewup in the same orphanage. I've seen his records and the records of theorphanage. If I'm not mistaken, he and Vicki were originally lovers. Hecares for Vicki and won't harm her. When Karl finished speaking, Joyce and Luther were both shocked.The leader of OGW, Cloud, and Vicki were actually in a romanticrelationship before?!
