You Hit My Heart -
Chapter 204
Joyce looked gratefully at Vicki, and although she had never known it,she could tell at a glance that Vicki was a woman with a story.
"Thank you." She didn't know why Vicki was willing to step in and help, but she thanked Vicki from the bottom of her heart anyway.
“You shouldn't be in a place like this." Vicki sat down in her chair, crossing her legs and picking up a nail clipper to trim her fingernails asif she didn't take the things that just happened seriously.
At that, Joyce was slightly stunned.
"Did you get set up?" Vicki raised her eyes lazily and asked slowly, "Itdoesn't look like you can have anything to do with a crime.”
Joyce nodded, she couldn't help but admire Vicki's insightfulness. Shewas touched by the feeling that someone she didn't know could trusther like that.
“It's okay, with me here, no one dares to bully you." Vicki finished hermanicure and stood up with a relaxed demeanor.
“Thanks a lot. Your name is, Vicki?" asked Joyce tentatively.
"Well, when I was much much younger, I was quite naughty and haddone quite a lot of bad things, so everyone called me Vicki," Vickidusted off her sleeves and straightened out her clothes. Everymovement showed her dominance.
Lauren stood not far away and heard their conversation and yelled,"Vicki, clearly I was set up too! Why on earth are you interfering in myaffairs?!"
"Huh." Vicki laughed sarcastically, her gaze stern, "Even if you werewrongly accused this time. With your character, sooner or later you'llget in here too. This is the best place for you!"
"You!" Lauren got so angry, and she rushed straight over. Legend had itthat Vicki was extremely good at fighting, but she hadn't been here verylong, and she had never seen it before.
She didn't really want to go up to the fight, she just wanted to talk toVicki.
She reached out just to tug on Vicki's collar, but before she could evenget to the edge of her collar, she suddenly fell over on her back badly, feeling sharp pain.
"Ah!" Lauren screamed miserably, all her bones felt like they weregoing to shatter, and she didn't even see how Vicki had done that.Jeffery hurriedly went forward to help Lauren up and made amends toVicki, "Vicki, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, she didn't mean it, we would neverdare to offend you. Since you want to protect Joyce, we promise not toprovoke her again.”
Jeffery dragged Lauren to the corner and advised her nicely, "Don't beimpulsive, Vicki will be released in a few days. Bear with me, I don'tbelieve it, she can still protect Joyce for life?"
Lauren rubbed the back of her head that hurt from the fall and grittedhis teeth, but there was nothing she could do about it.
She really could not understand, they did not even know each other, but why would Vicki get involved and help her out? Joyce was just toolucky, and there was always something to help her wherever she went, even in a prison.
"And you don't have to thank me, you're lucky someone entrusted meto look out for you." Vicki gently patted Joyce's shoulder and was justabout to turn around when Joyce tugged on her arm.
Vicki turned her head in confusion, "What?"
“If you don’t mind, who is it that has entrusted you to take care of me?"Joyce was a million times more surprised since she really couldn't thinkof anyone who would be secretly helping her at such a time.
"Huh. You're not Christian's girl?" Vicki raised her long eyebrows, hergaze containing a few moments of playfulness.
