Chapter - 35- Clash with Ex

The next day, they headed to his friend's clinic where they went yesterday. Today is the scheduled appointment for a paternity test.

They were waiting for the woman to come; they had been waiting for two hours already, but Margot hadn't shown up.

If she has convinced herself that he fathered her child, why didn't he come? He thought.

They are about to leave when the door opens, but one woman enters. She's alone. She doesn't know her face so she can't tell if that's Margot or not.

"Where's the child?" he asked.

So this is Margot, she thought.

Before the woman could answer, another person came in.

She doesn't know him. When she saw Leandro's reaction, she could tell that this man was Nikos; he was holding a baby. She could feel his nerves tighten like she wanted to strangle him. So she hugged his waist. He knocks on the door in his friend's room. He had no patience at this time; they knew because they had been waiting there for two hours already.

"Come in," he said.

He opened the door and came in.

"Oh, has she come?" the doctor asked.

"Just arrived with Nikos," he replied.

"Okay, you two can sit there; I'll call them in," the doctor told them.

They sit down while the doctor calls the two newcomers.

They entered the room. Margot is staring straight at Yane. But Nikos cannot look at him.

"Okay, I'm sure you all know why we are here," the doctor started.

"We wanted to know who's the biological father of Margot's child. I hope that whatever the result is, be an adult. The child has nothing to do with it." The doctor paused, looking at all of them.

"Leandro told me that if the result came out that he's the biological father, he would support the child. And if you're willing to give up your custody, Yane is very much willing to adopt your child," the doctor told Margot. Margot sent daggers to her. The nerve of this woman. She only looks beautiful because of her makeup. What if I push her into a pool?

"Who are you to say that? I will only give up my custody if he will not marry that skunk," Margot said angrily. Insulting his wife.

"In that case, we will wait for the result. I don't want to have a moth in my house anyway, "his wife replied.

"What month?" Margot replied.

"Moth, you don't know? There are many kinds of moths, but you're the one who is attracted to lights; in other words, you are lacking attention," she replied sarcastically.

That angered Margot even more. She walked towards them but the doctor blocked her.

"We better swab the three of you so that we will finish this," the doctor said.

He called a nurse to help him perform the swabbing.

After the three of them have submitted their sample. Leandro held her hand and said goodbye to his doctor's friend. Leandro didn't even look in the direction of his ex and his ex-best friend. "I'll call you for an update," his doctor friend told him.

He sent them out, leaving the two in the consultation room.

"Thank you, man," he replied.

"You got Tigris here," the doctor said, smiling.

"I'm from the Amazon River of the Philippines, so do not mess with me," Yane replied smiling as well.

"I bet you are," the doctor replied.

"Well, I'll call you when the results arrive," the doctor said.

"I'll wait for your call, man," he replied.

Leandro held her hand, and they went out of the clinic. Enzo is already for them outside.

"I think we have to go back to Chianti; we'll wait for Luca's call there," Leandro said.

"We will head to Chianti Boss?" Enzo asked.

"Yes, Enzo, thank you!" Leandro replied.

They arrived in Chianti, and they saw some men working with the pool.

Leandro's partners are really quick.

Well, when money speaks, everything could be possible. She thought.

After Leandro finishes talking with his partner's men, they finally get into the villa. Enzo is already back in Florence; Leandro sent him already.

Sarah brought something to eat for them. So they ate first and Leandro started to work on his laptop again.

She admired him; he had too much money already, but he was still working. Very hardworking man. Though he's busy making money, he always makes time with her.

Since he is working, she decides to go out of the villa. She will go to Sarah's cottage.

"Mahal, can I go to Sarah's cottage?" she asked him for permission.

"But that's a few meters away. Are you sure you won't get tired walking there?" he asked.

"I used to walk for work back in the Philippines; their cottage is only a three-minute walk from here," she replied.

"Okay then, just send me a message when you want to come back; okay, I ask Eliseo to drive you back," Leandro said.

"Okay, I will. See you later," she said, kissing his cheek.

She happily came downstairs and walked towards Eliseo and Sarah's cottage. She just wanted to pick some grapes there. She has nothing to do anyway. And maybe she could help Sarah with her cooking. For sure she's preparing for dinner by

now.

She was near the cottage when Eliseo saw her.

"Signora, why didn't you call? We should have picked you up," he asked.

"I'm fine, Eliseo. I like walking," she replied.

"Where's Signore?" he asked.

"He has work to do, so instead of

hanging around doing nothing, I decided to come; maybe I could help Sarah with cooking. I might learn Italian cuisine from her." she replied.

"Well, Sarah is in the kitchen, you can go there," Eliseo told her.

She entered the cottage, and Eliseo was right; Sarah was preparing to cook.

Sarah didn't want her to help her. She told her that she shouldn't be helping her, but she insisted. She's not rich enough to act like she's rich. Besides, there's no harm in helping her; she will benefit from it because she will learn. Learning new things is beneficial. Because she can use it. What if their cook fell ill who will cook for them? Or they can't go out to go to a restaurant; at least if she knows the menu other than Filipino foods, the better.
