Chapter 35-Fulfillment

"Luca, my man, you called; what's up?" he answered the call from his doctor friend.

"The result came back, and I invited you to come; I want to read this result in front of you all. I already contacted Margot and Nikos," his friend replied.

"By the way, how about mine & Yane's test? Is there? he asked.

"Yes, it's here. I will explain to both of you after the two leave us," Luca replied.

"Okay, we will be there. What time did you tell them.? he asked.

"Around two in the afternoon so that all of you have enough time to travel; I know that you're busy with the renovation," Luca replied.

After the call, he called Yane, who went to Sarah again. It's good for her that she has somebody to talk to aside from him. Sarah is a decent woman; she is teaching Yane Italian cuisine. "Come home now, sweetheart; we are living; the result of the test has come back. We need to be there before two in the afternoon," he said.

After calling his wife, he dialed Enzo's number. Probably, he is not that far yet. He just came to bring their clothes and also pick up the dirty ones for laundry.

He closed his laptop and put it back in the case. He got changed and waited for Yane.

A moment later she arrived panting.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I run," she replied.

"Silly girl." He laughs at her.

"You could have asked Eliseo or maybe you could use one cart," he said, laughing.

"It's exercise too. See, my fat is melting," she replied, pointing to the sweat on her forehead.

"You better take some rest, then get changed; Enzo is on his way back," he replied.

"Yeah, I'll take a quick shower," she replied.

She took off her clothes and went into the bathroom.

She came out after a few minutes wrapped in a towel. She had a very quick shower. He couldn't help but laugh at her. She something. It doesn't fail to amaze him. Some kind of a dose of medicine. After she finished putting on her clothes, they came downstairs. Enzo has arrived.

They arrived at their destination earlier than the appointed time. Like the first time of their appointment, they came first. But unlike the last time, the two didn't let them wait that long. Only thirty minutes late. Luca called them to get inside the room. They sat opposite each other.

"Okay, as I mentioned previously, whatever the result of the test, if it ends up that Leandro is the biological father, Margot, you have to be civil. Since Yane is Leandro's wife, she will be around while you both are in co-parenting raising your child together," Luca told Margot.

Margot didn't respond. Yane also didn't comment.

"Okay, I start with you, Nikos; I read the result, and it is determined that you, Nikos, not the father of Margot's baby, have the probability of paternity is zero percent," Lucas said.

"See, I told you, you are the father of my child," Margot said, looking at him.

"As I said, I am going to support my child," he replied.

"I think we still need to read the result between Leandro and your baby, Margot," Luca interrupted them.

"I'm one hundred percent sure that he is the father of my child, Luca, I mean doctor. Who else could be the father? I was his fiancée," she said firmly.

"But he needs to hear the result here, Margot," Luca told her.

"Fine. Let's hear it then," Margot replied.

"The result of the paternity test between Leandro and your baby is zero percent," Luca said.

"You're lying; let me see." Margot snatched the result from Luca's hand.

He could see the disappointment on Nikos's face. Maybe Margot has been pinning him to step up and step on the plate. Now that the truth finally came out, he was relieved yet

disappointed.

"I'm sorry if it didn't come out the way you wanted, Margot. There must be someone else. Your child deserves to know who the father is," Luca said in his low voice. Trying to calm and comfort Margot, who is now crying. "I should go, thank you, Luca," Nikos said and turned away.

"Take care, man," Luca replied to Nikos.

"I'm okay, thanks anyway." She stood up, wiping her tears, and left.

"So sad, she does not know who her child's father was," Yane said, sighing.

"Okay, since only the two of you left, I will read the results for both of you," Luca told them.

Taking out the envelope from his drawer.

"Okay, here's the result for you. You are capable of impregnating a woman. You are healthy. There's no problem about you, my friend. Your sperm count is high. Maybe it's just a matter of time," Luca told him.

"And as for you, Yane, you are perfectly fine. Instead of asking you for an appointment with a psychiatrist, I recommend you a visit with an OB-GYN. Congratulations to you both!" Luca said.

He stared at his friend's face, puzzled, then back to his wife.

"Wait, enlighten me, man, I don't get it," he said.

"Doctor Leandro Della Valle, really?" Luca stared at him.

He knows he was a Pedia but that news did not register cognitively.

When he recovers, he hugs and kisses his wife.

"Yahoo!" he shouted.

He does not care if they could hear him outside the room. He finally has his offspring.

"I did not know I was pregnant. Nothing has changed in me," she said, confused.

"It's because you're at an early stage of pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting, also known as morning sickness, usually begins ;between 4 and 6 weeks into a pregnancy. "You're only at your third, almost fourth week," he continues.

"We better plan our wedding before you become bigger," he said, tapping his wife's nose.

"Hmm, don't forget to invite us," Lucas said.

"Of course, you are invited," Yane replied.

"Anyway, thank you so much for this wonderful news, my friend," he said, shaking his friend's hand.

"Anytime, again congratulations!" Luca replied, shaking both of their hands.

As they rode the car back to Chianti, he held the woman's hand, knowing that this was the woman he was meant to be. What happened to them in the past was destined to happen so that they would meet.

In less than a month the pool renovation was completed while they were preparing for their wedding.

He also asked his friend Jason to help the couple Rudy and Clara. He wanted them to also witness the wedding of the woman he loved the most. The couple became his companions when Yane was unconscious until she finally woke up. This was also his treat for the couple. At least they could travel.

He thought that the ending of their love story would not be happy because of the problems that were trying to get in the way when they were happy.

But from what he saw, everything would not be difficult because of the attitude of his beloved wife. His wife's positivity will be the antidote to the obstacles they will encounter along the way.
