You're the ONE I need -
Nine
Exactly three and a half months now since the day he found out his fiancee's unfaithfulness.
It wouldn't be so painful, maybe if it wasn't his best friend Nikos involved.
But it was.
It was Nikos in her fiancee's bed.
It's also been three and a half months since the beautiful Lizzy was washed ashore by the waves. Bad and good things happen to him at the same time. This is supposed to be the scheduled date for their wedding.
He shakes his head.
He greeted his teeth at the thought of it.
She doesn't fit in his life, he thought.
He is thankful that he discovered earlier that the woman he's ready to put on a pedestal is such a liar.
Social climber.
Gold digger.
Worst unfaithful one.
He never dreamed to have an unfaithful wife because if they're married and she did what she did, he would kill her.
He's thankful that before that happens, he found out earlier.
He shrugged his shoulders, thinking of those people who had betrayed his trust, and looked at the woman who's playing in the sand.
She doesn't know that that's the place where he found her.
The same spot where she's making a sand castle.
Very free spirit. She has no inhabitation.
"Hey Mister, would you mind to help me?" She waving at him.
"Sure, my lady," he said, smiling and moving towards her.
She's happy with what she's doing.
"I like it taller," she said.
"Okay, so we will make it taller then." He replied and added more damp sand in the sand castle.
He noticed that Lizzy's skin was kissed by the sun. It's reddish. She's almost tan in everyday swimming.
At first, the woman doubted who he was in his life. But he assured her that he was her fiance, and he gave her a ring as proof. He's not ready yet to tell her everything. The woman is still recovering from her accident, though she really doesn't know from what accident and so he was. Although he had a slight suspicion that the woman was the victim of a tragedy. The sinking of a cruise ship about that same span of time he found her.
Rudy, his caretaker at his beach villa, has done some investigation. He told him that there was a tragedy not far from their place.
She suddenly hit him in the chest with the ball of sand she made that brought him back to reality.
"You're daydreaming, Mister," she said, laughing.
"I'm not in my daydreaming. I'm just simply staring at the beautiful woman in front of me," he replied. He is not tired of looking at her. The more he stared at her, the more he found her beautiful. Desirable.
She pulled him up. That he obliged to follow. She pulled him into the water. And happily splashing him. He splashed her back. She was laughing out loud. He loves that sound of laughter from her. So natural. No pretensions. He scooped her and brought her in a little deeper.
She wiggled from his grasp.
But he's strong.
She clung to his neck, and she looked up at him. He looked down at her, and his gaze landed on her luscious full lips.
It's inviting.
"It seems like there's something in the water that reminds me of something, but I can't figure out what," she said in her breath
But his mind is occupied by something else.
"Lizzie," he just said.
"Yes?" she replied in surprise
He couldn't control the feeling that had risen in his heart.
He bent down and claimed her salty, sweet lips. She was hesitant at first, then a few seconds later she responded with his kiss, which gave him a signal to deepen it.
"Leandro," she said, panting after he let go of her lips.
"Yes, sweetheart?" he asked. He could feel her heartbeats. It's beating the same tempo as his.
"Kiss me again," she pleaded
And he claimed her lips and kissed her more passionately.
There's something in their kiss that he never felt for any woman he has kissed or even slept with. Her kiss is addictive, and he couldn't have enough of it. Like his life depended on it. What is in her?
