After Death, Love Unveiled (Elara and Lysander) -
Unveiled 51
Chapter 51
Felicity smiled when she saw Elara. "Mr. Kensington, is this your daughter? She's really beautiful."
Elara looked at her, feeling a bit puzzled. They had met before, yet Felicity acted like she didn't recognize her at all.
However, considering how many people were around that day, it wasn't surprising that Felicity hadn't paid much attention to Elara.
Elara asked, "How should I address this madam, Dad?"
Barrett replied, "You can call her Mrs. Hawthorne. She's Lysander's stepmother."
She might be Lysander's stepmother, but it was clear Lysander didn't acknowledge her as such.
Seeing her here now, Lysander asked, "What are you doing here
Felicity smiled. "Your father is coming home tonight, so I'm here to pick you up. You haven't been home in a while, and it's not good to be out all the time."
Lysander responded, Tm fine here."
"I know," Felicity said with a grin. "You and Miss Kensington get along well, but you can't be stuck together every single day. right? Once you're home, you can always come back to visit her
Lysander suddenly realized he had been staying at Elara's place for several days now. And since someone from the Hawthorne family had come to pick him up in person, he knew he had no choice but to go.
He turned to Elara and said, "I'm heading home, then."
Elara replied, "Alright."
After Felicity took Lysander away, Elara sat down on the sofa. Barrett looked at her and asked, "Where did you go? "We went skiing." Elara said. "It was really fun. I've been traveling around every day." It was as if she was on vacation. Barrett glanced at his daughter, who hadn't had a moment of rest since arriving in Starfield City. "I heard you've bought quite a few properties since you got here."
"Yes," Elara said. "I had some free time, so I wo
went to check them out
Barrett chuckled. "You've developed quite a love for buying houses lately, haven't you? It's either property or land. If I didn't have a solid financial foundation, you'd probably drain it dry."
Elara picked up a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and popped it into her mouth before saying to Barrett, "Dad, don't worry. I'm not wasting money. In a couple of years, you'll see that buying property in Starfield Caty was a very smart decision" After her time travel, Elara was focused on making money. With such a great opportunity in front of her, it would be foolish not to seize it
Barrett noticed how serious she was about it. "As long as you're happy
"And one more thing." Elara continued. "Remember that phone company that came to you for investment? I think you should go ahead with it, Dad. It's going to be profitable in the future."
That company would later become a major player in the phone industry. Elara didn't want her father to miss out on the

Barrett said, "Alright, since you brought it up, I'll agree. The guy actually called me a few days ago."

That evening, Elara had dinner with Barrett at home. The next day, Barrett had the house decorated, filling it with a festive Christmas atmosphere.
In the afternoon, Barrett took Elara to visit her mother's grave, It had been many years since Elara had been to Starfield City, and her mother was buried there.
Barrett placed a bouquet of flowers at the grave and began talking to his late wife about Elara's life, how she had grown up. improved her grades, become more mature, and even developed a good relationship with Lysander.
Elara stood nearby, staring at the photo of her mother on the gravestone. Elara resembled her mother quite a bit. Her mother had been a great beauty, and Elara was no less stunning
But when it came to her childhood memories, Elara couldn't recall much of anything. As they drove down the mountain, Elara sat in the car and asked her father, "Dad, why is Mom buried in Starfield City when we live in Brookfield?" Barrett looked at Elara and explained, "Your mom had always planned to move back to Brookfield.
"We lived there for a while, but when she got sick, I brought her back here for treatment and never took her back. You were too young to remember those times.
Even though she didn't have much of a memory, just thinking about her mother brought tears to Elara's eyes
Barrett asked, "How are things between you and Lysander?"
"Pretty good," Elara replied. "Dad, after I graduate, I want to marry him. But a few days ago, I saw Uncle Harold, and he told me not to be with Lysander. He seems really against it. Do you know why? Harold seemed to get along well with the Hawthorne family. He was pretty close to Felicity, yet for some reason, he didn't want Elara to be with Lysander. It was strange.
"Could it be that the Hawthorne family doesn't like me?" Elara wondered.
Barren looked at Elara and said, "Your marriage to Lysander was arranged long before either of you were born. It was your mother's decision."
Otherwise, Barrett wouldn't have even thought about having Elara marry into the Hawthorne family. The events of that time still made him uneasy whenever he recalled them.
Hearing that it was her mother's wish, Elara didn't argue further. Since her mother's passing. Barrett had never remarried and had devoted his life to raising Elara. He had deeply loved his wife,
Of course, even without her parents' intentions, Elara still wanted to marry Lysander. She truly loved him
On Christmas Eve morning, Barrett got up early and went to the kitchen to cook
Elara tried to help, but he quickly shooed her away. He could handle cooking himself, but his precious daughter was not allowed to.
Elara grabbed her phone, sat down on the couch, and sent a message to Lysander. [Merry Christmas Eve.]
[Same to you.] His replies were always short and to the point

Elara didn't take his message too seriously, thinking Lysanders joking. But to her surprise, he showed in that night. When Elara opened the door and saw him standing there, he handed her a gift. "Merry Christmas Eve Elara accepted the gift. "Thank you. I can't believe you really came"
Lysander said. "I was always going to spend Christmas with you
They had both come from Brookfield together, and there was no way Lysander would leave her alone
Lysander couldn't help but recall the day they left Brookfield. Asher had insisted on spending Christmas with Elara, but she had chosen Lysander without hesitation.
"Dad, Lysander's here," Elara called out as she walked into the kitchen, where her father was cooking, prin on.
Barrett came out and saw Lysander sitting on the couch. "Lysander, you made it,"
"Mr. Kensington, let me help you" Lysander stood, ready to assist
Barrett waved him off. "No need, just relax. Everything's almost done"
Barrett brought out the dishes one by one. As they looked at the table full of food, he chuckled, "Let's see how my It's been a few years, so I'm not sure if I've lost my touch." Elara sat next to Lysander and said, "My dad's cooking is amazing
"I know," Lysander replied
Elara blinked, surprised. "You've had it before?"
In her memory, she couldn't recall Lysander ever having a meal at their house
Lysander glanced at her, seeing how she had completely forgotten, but didn't bother explaining
