Chapter 105

Liviana’s POV

I continued to stare and appreciate my son in my arms.

I don’t even know how long we’ve both been in this position.

I couldn’t quite take my eyes off of him.

“His highness must’ve forgotten to tell you but your son doesn’t have a name yet” Rainer suddenly spoke out.

I looked at him.

“He doesn’t have a name yet?” I asked again.

Rainer nodded.

I looked at my son again.

He’s almost a year old but he doesn’t even have a name yet.

I feel bad for my son.

I sighed.

I stared at him as I tried to think of a name.

What name would best fit him?

“Luke” I muttered.

Then, I looked up at Rainer.

“His name is Luke” I told him.

Rainer smiled.

“His Majesty, Prince Luke” he said and I smiled.

I looked at my son with a proud smile.

“Hi, Luke. Mommy’s name is Liviana” I said happily.

Suddenly, Luke yawned as he slowly opened his eyes.

His green eyes met mine and a small smile formed on his lips at the sight of me.

I smiled at him as I gave him a k**s on the tip of his nose.

“Hi, little one. Did you have a good sleep?” I cooed.

Luke giggled making me smiled.

“Do you like hearing mommy’s voice? Do you? Do you?” I said as I made faces at him.

Luke laughed and giggled cutely.

I enjoyed every laugh ad giggle he made.

It was music to my ears.

“This is the first time I’ve heard him laugh and giggle so much” Rainer said as he stood in front of us.

I motioned for him to sit down on the other seat.

“King Callisto said you’re one of the few people who can hold Luke” I said.

Rainer nodded.

“Yes. He’s indeed very sensitive of who holds him. Fortunately, he likes me” he said.

I nodded.

“How much do you know about Luke?” I asked him curiously.

“Well, I know quite a lot” he said a little smugly.

“Tell me” I demanded.

I missed almost a year of my son’s life, I needed every information I can get from the people who are actually around to take care of him.

“Should I start from the very start?” he asked.

“Were you there from the very start?” I asked back.

Rainer chuckled then nodded.

“Yes. I was even there when they did the cesarean procedure on you” he told me.

Oh.

“Really?” I asked a bit surprised.

Rainer nodded.

“Well, for one, he was born on the 30th of March. It was a Sunday. He was born exactly on 11:11am” Rainer started.

He was being very detailed about it.

I’m surprised he even took not of it.

But I’m glad he did.

I’m thankful he did.

“He first started sitting down at 3 months with some support. A month later, he could already sit down all on his own” he said.

I imagined it in my head and found it cute.

Pups tend to develop faster than human children so it was different compared to human children.

“Then, about a week after that, he started to learn how to crawl. At 5 months, he could already crawl” Rainer continued.

“Aside from that, Luke also started babbling in 5 months. At first, it was all inaudible words, of course” he told me.

“But then, one day when he was in your room beside you, he started babbling ‘mama’ just like that” Rainer said with a chuckle.

I smiled as I looked at Luke.

He was quietly looking up at me as Reiner talked about him.

“You’re a mommy’s boy, aren’t you? My sweet sweet boy” I cooed and Luke giggled in delight.

I smiled happily.

“Luke started eating baby food at 5 months as well” Rainer told me.

Rainer continued on with his talk about Luke.

He told me every single detail he knew about my son.

It was really nice how much he paid attention to Luke.

I appreciated it a lot.

Rainer also told me how Luke normally interacts with people around him and how everyone cares for Luke as well.

Despite not knowing who we both were in the beginning, my son was treated well and was taken care of and showered with lobe.

I’m glad.

I really am.

Just a few hours ago, I didn’t even know I had a son.

Now, I actually have one.

My mate and I’s child.

Luan and I’s son.

The sudden thought of Luan made me a little sad.

I know I wouldn’t be able to see him for the time being.

But I was still curious how he was doing.

It’s been more than a year after all.

Did he wait for me?

Or not?

I was afraid of the answer to that question.

Because I spent most of my time in the spirit realm training and thinking about him.

Despite the lack of the mate bond, I’d still be more than willing to be with him.

If he in fact, felt the same way, of course.

I mean, we love each other, right?

And we were originally mates.

Also, I doubt Luan would agree to be with another woman.

Not with the way he acted around me.

Or was I wrong?

I shook the thought off.

Being in a coma for more than a year is surely taking a toll on me.

Then, there was a knock on the door and a guard picked in.

“Your majesty, Captain, you are both being called down for dinner” the guard said.

Rainer and I both nodded.

I was about to stand up but Rainer immediately stopped me.

“What?” I said.

“Don’t strain yourself” he said and suddenly lifted me up again in bridal style.

I squeaked as I held on firmly to Luke.

“Hey!” I scolded.

Rainer chuckled as Luke giggled in my arms.

I huffed.

Rainer gently put us down on the wheel chair.

Luke sat on my lap as Rainer pushed the wheelchair out of the room.

Then, we made our way to I can only assume as the dining hall.

I played with Luke on the way as he laughed and giggled in delight.

I couldn’t have enough of his cuteness.

I look at him and I feel happy to be alive.

I look at him and everything negative in me disappears.

That was Luke’s effect on me.

We reached the dining hall and the King, Queen and another woman was already sitting by the table.

They all turned to look at us.

My eyes were fixed on the unfamiliar woman.

Her eyes met mine.

“Oh my sweet granddaughter, Liviana anf my great grandson is here” Queen Selene said as she welcomed us into the dining hall with a k**s.

“Luke. I named him Luke” I told her.

She looked at me a bit surprised but then, it was replaced with a smile.

“What a wonderful name for my precious great grandson” she said and the crouched down to Luke’s level.

“Hi there, Luke” Queen Selene cooed.

Luke giggled cutely as he grabbed on to me.

I smiled.

“You like that huh? You like that” Queen Selene said as Luke kept giggling.

“What does he like?” King Callisto suddenly appeared behind Queen Selene.

“Liviana already gave him a name” Queen Selene told King Callisto.

“Really? What is it?” King Callisto asked me softly.

“Luke. I named him Luke” I told him.

King Callisto smiled as he too crouched down to Luke’s level.

“My precious grandson, Luke. Prince Luke of Halo” King Callisto said proudly.

Luke giggled and laughed again making us all smile.

“Luke is a very great name, Liviana. It fits him well” the other lady by the table said.

I turned to look at her as she stood uo and made her way towards us.

“Hi, Liviana. I’m Kaley” she introduced herself.

She’s one of the few people that Luke is close to.

“Hi, Kaley. It’s nice to meet you. Thank you for looking after my son” I told her.

She looked about my age.

Maybe a little younger actually.

“You’re welcome. You’re both family after all” she said with a sweet smile.

I smiled too.

She seemed nice.

She didn’t give me a fake nice girl vibe.

She actually seemed genuine.

So far, everyone I’ve met have been genuine.

I could say that Halo was already a whole lot better than Lunar.

We all had dinner together.

I thought it was fun.

No one asked me too personal questions.

It was mostly questions that wouldn’t trigger my past.

I appreciated that considering I wasn’t ready either to open that part of my life yet with anyone right now.

After dinner, Rainer guided us to my room.

I wanted Luke to sleep with me from here on.

I wanted him to feel my warmth and to let him know that I’m really now by his side.

I had to make up for the lost time with my son.

I’m someone’s mother now and although I originally thought I wouldn’t have kids of my own, I feel very ecstatic to have Luke in my life.

Suddenly, I had all the purpose I needed to continue on.

To live.

To thrive.

To fulfill my destiny.

I felt so powerful knowing I had Luke in my life.

So this is how it feels.

To have a child of your own.

To be a mother.

I stared at Luke as he slept beside me.

“Mommy, will always stay by your side from now on. I will never let anyone or anything hurt you” I said.

I planted a k**s on Luke’s forehead.

“I love you” I whispered and slept beside my son.
