Chapter 61

Catalina's

POV

We make our way upstairs and into our apartment.

"I feel like we are never here anymore." I say.

"I know. Our life has taken a huge turn. It's not what I thought it would be at all." Andrew says.

I'm really not the mate he was expecting to have. Most mates aren't at the center of a prophecy about an upcoming war.

"Andrew I'm sorry I'm such a complicated mate." I say. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

"Oh my love. You are the best mate anyone could ask for. Nothing that has happened is your fault. Yes things have been difficult at times, but I wouldn't change it for the world." He scoops me up bridal style and carries me to the bedroom. He places me on the bed. "I'll run you a bath and then make us some coffee. I have a feeling we will be up for a while." Andrew says. I grab his arm before he leaves.

"I love you." I say

"I love you too." He says and goes into the bathroom. I hear the water turn on and after a few minutes I get up off the bed. Andrew comes out of the bathroom.

"It's all set for you." And kisses my forehead. He heads to the kitchen. I get undressed and dip into the bath. The warm water feels good. I wash my skin and hair. When I get up I wrap myself in a robe and walk out to the kitchen. Andrew hands me a cup of coffee and I drink it quickly. It's the perfect temperature for a quick cup. It's hot but not so hot that I can't gulp it. After coffee Andrew and I get ready and head down for dinner. The hall is busy with people and Andrew and I replace a table. I didn't realize how hungry I was until food was placed in front of me. I eat my food and ask for a second plate. I finish my second plate and Andrew looks at me in curious admiration.

"I was hungry!" I say. He laughs and finishes his food. We head to the meeting hall. I'm a little nervous to meet everyone. I've only ever met one witch, now I'm going to be in room full of them. Andrew grabs my hand before we head in the room, he must feel my anxiety. We walk in and there are women standing in different clumps. They all stop talking and look up to me when we enter. This is more intimidating than meeting all the Alphas. At least I knew what the Alphas are capable of, witches however, I don't know what their powers can do. Lilith makes her way over to us.

"Come, let me introduce you." Lilith says. She takes my arm and leads me to a group of women and introduces me. Everyone is polite and it's hard to remember everyone's name. All the women look very similar to Lilith, some varying in height, eye color, and body shape. But other then that, very similar. After we have circled the room and met everyone. We all take a seat.

"High Alpha it is wonderful to finally meet you. When Lilith told us of your coming and the war ahead. I have to admit I was hesitant to come. But as we all found out Lilith can be very persuasive. Tell us what plans you have for fighting this war." One of the witches says. I believe her name was Beverly.

"Bev, we have only just arrived. She can't know what kind of powers we have. How could she come up with a plan? We need to spend this meeting coming up with a plan together." Another witch says, Gladice is her name, I think.

"Glinda is right. This is all of our war not just hers. We need to work together." Helene says. I guess I was wrong on the name. Glinda not Gladice.

"I was only trying to see how prepared she was. We're all going to be risking our lives." Beverly says.

"Our lives are at risk whether we join her or not. At least this way we have a choice in how we die." Lilith says.

"Ladies. I appreciate everyone coming and joining this war. Lilith is correct. This war affects us all whether we like it or not. But if you want to leave, I will not hold it against you. You are free to go with no repercussions. As far as planning goes, I will be honest, we have not made such plans. I have just succeeded in gathering my numbers. We know how to fight, but we have never fought against a God, let alone two. And in the air of honesty, I don't know where to start. I know this doesn't instill confidence in our army, but the Moon Goddess has put us all together for a reason. We have at least a week to come up with our plan. This war isn't just for the ones here today, but it's for the next generations, it's for all of our kinds' very survival." I say to everyone. They all look around and then smile.

"Well she'll do. The Fae King will like her." Beverly says. All the ladies nodded in agreement.

"She is more than I expected." Another witch said, Emily or Amy I can't remember.

"Who will be your battle planners?" Helene asks. Uhhh great haven't thought of this.

"Well Andrew, Raymond, Jet, and Gamma Lucas. Will be the main planners besides myself. And possibly the councilmen when they return." I say.

"Who will be going with you to meet the Fae King?" Lilith asks.

"Andrew and Gamma Lucas. Jet won't be back in time to come. I'm taking a small team of warriors too." I say. They all seemed to nod in agreement.

"We will start planning with Raymond, the councilmen should be here tomorrow, and when Jet arrives we will include them." Lilith says.

"We have many abilities within our ranks. We have healers, protectors, fighters, conjurors, and manipulators. All very powerful and all serve a purpose." Beverly says.

"We should start by having our packs work with you all. The sooner the better." I say. They nod in agreement.

"We will begin tomorrow." Lilith says.

"The packs should start arriving soon. It will get crowded fast." I say.

"By the time you get back from meeting with the Fae King. Your army will be ready for you." Lilith says.

My army. I can't even begin to think about it. How did I end up with an army? Little old me? The mouse girl.

"You aren't that girl anymore." Andrew says in my mind link. So he can read my mind. I narrow my eyes at him. He smiles.

"Well ladies. It looks like we all have a busy week ahead of us. We should go and get some rest. Tomorrow I will guide you to the Fae lands. We will meet after breakfast." Lilith says. Everyone stands and Andrew and I head back to our room. I am absolutely exhausted. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed! I barely have the energy to take my clothes off before crawling into bed. I feel Andrew join me. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close to him. "Lina I am so proud of the leader you have become." He says. I look up to him and smile. He really was the best mate.
