Autumn

I wasn't sure what to say I was so confused I didn't know what to believe either. My parents have never lied to me so what did my father mean to forgive them?

I also didn't understand why Mr. Reins was here and why was he having such a calming session on me by just placing his hand on my shoulder. Plus he looked like he has stayed here with my family but why? I felt a tap on my arm looking over I see my mom.

She begins to sign to me.

"How about we see if you can leave then we will go home and talk everything out,"

I can see her eyes pleading with me.

I shake my head yes then reach out grabbing her hand she held it with the other hand with tears in her eyes.

I know I hurt her feelings when I flinch away when she tried touching me.

"I'm sorry," I mouthed to her.

Smiling she reaches out cupping my cheek. Leading forward placing a kiss on my forehead.

She looked up to Mr. Reins he nodded letting go of my shoulder which I had forgotten his hand was still there. I instantly felt the calmness leave me.

He walked out then just a few seconds he came back in with a lady. She came to the side my mother moved out of her way.

She smiled at me.

"I'm gonna check you over quick so you can leave," She says slow enough I could read her lips.

"Ok," I spoke. She looked a little shocked to hear my voice.

She checks my eyes and listens to my heart. She then asked if I had any pain in my head I told her just felt like a small headache.

Turning to my parents she was speaking to them I was trying to see what they were saying when I felt a hand grab mine.

Turning my head I see it was Mr. Reins.

He smiled at me and then winked. I could feel the blush on my face.

What was odd was I didn't feel the need to pull my hand back I felt comfortable letting my hand in his. And I could still smell his cologne. Which I found made me want to be near him. That was another thing I couldn't understand. My mom was back at my side making me look at her.

"They said you can leave but are to take it easy for a few days," she signed to me.

Nodding to her quickly I let go of his hand flipping the blanket off me when I realized I was in a hospital gown.

Suddenly I was wrapped in a blanket and pulled against a hard body. Looking up I saw it was Mr. Reins looking at my father and brother.

What the heck?

I put my hands up to push against his chest when I felt a vibration come from him.

When he looked down his eyes were almost black. Taking in a sharp breath I froze I just sat there looking at him.

I see someone to the side it was my mom holding her hands up her lips was moving but I couldn't make out what she was saying. Feeling a little panicked I looked for my dad and brother but they were no longer in the room.

I felt his hold loosen a bit he stepped back letting my mom grab the blanket he was holding.

"I'm sorry," he mouthed to me then walked out of the room. I watched him leave closing the door behind him.

I suddenly miss his presents and his cologne I had this feeling that I wanted him to come back.

I looked at my mom with a confused look.

"We will explain it all when we get home," She mouthed to me.

She let go of the blankets so I could stand up. She walked over to the couch they were sleeping on a few minutes ago I see her pick up a bag sitting on the floor next to it. Walking back over she placed it on the bed next to me opening the zipper she pulled out some clothes for me along with my hair brush.

Taking the clothes I gave her a big smile showing her I appreciate it. Jumping off the bed and going into the bathroom to get changed quickly.

Once I was dressed and brushed out my hair I came out to see it was only mom still there.

She grabbed my bag holding her hand out for me to take smiling I grabbed it and we walked out the door.

There were dad and Zach and Mr. Reins standing in the hallway.

Mr. Reins step forward placing his arm around my back and setting his hand on the small of my back. Mom let go of my hand.

She walked to dad looping her arm with his. Mr. Reins began to walk slightly pushing me forward my parents followed behind us as well as Zach.

We walked out the front door and I see Mr. Keaton standing by Mr. Reins truck holding the door open and smiling at us.

I stopped at the car looking back at Mr. Reins he held his hand out and gestured for me to get in the car. I looked past him at my family.

"Go ahead, we will be in the car behind you." I saw dad sign to me.

Oh no that means I'll be alone with Mr. Reins. I still wasn't sure what or why he was this way with me but I didn't feel afraid it was the complete opposite.

I stood there not moving when he stepped in front of me.

"Please get in Autumn," He mouthed to me.

I climbed in letting him close the door he spoke to Mr. Keaton then walked around to the driver's side and got in looking in the side mirror I saw my parents and Zach get into the car behind us once they were in we all drove off.
