Reins

The next few days went by in a blur it felt like, everyone doing their part in preparing for the ceremony they knew I had marked their luna but not everyone had met Autumn,

After the little chat with the two girls the other day I've had a close eye on that Rachel girl, Morgan had reported the two girls haven't been with her lately and that Rachel has been keeping more to herself but has been showing up for her work in the kitchen and she's been doing her share of work which was odd seeing as she had skipped out a few times plus she would always push her work off on the other two.

We had lost the trail for Roberts and Darrel as well. I didn't like it everything was too quiet I just had a sinking feeling in my gut.

Even Alpha Brett's kid was staying at his pack and not causing trouble.

Keaton had reached out again to Darrel Beta but he didn't respond.

Focusing back on the group in front of me I wanted to lead the training this morning so I could be with Autumn the rest of the day.

"Alright everyone lines up," I yell out to the group. They break apart lining up in the spits they had started in.

"Now this weekend is very important to the pack, we are welcoming your Luna to the pack,"

Everyone started hooting and cheering at the mention of their Luna.

Holding my hands up to get them to quiet down.

"Even though the patrols will be doubled and shift changes will be done separately so there is no opening or no one on the borders, make sure you get with Chase on when your patrol time is and who will be switching with you," "Yes, Alpha!" They all call out.

"Don't worry everyone will have a chance to attend the ceremony."

I hear a bunch of hoots again I knew they would be happy about that.

"Alright dismissed,"

"Alpha Alpha!" I hear someone calling me.

I look over and see one of the morning patrols heading toward me.

He stops in front of me.

"Alpha we have a problem, the patrols on the east spotted wolves about a mile out from the border,"

I didn't give him a chance to say more I took off shifting.

"Keaton!" I call through the link.

"Alpha I heard about it on my way,"

"Oscar," I shift my thought to him.

"Yes, Alpha,"

"Wolves east border keep close to Autumn,"

"Yes, Alpha,"

I hear movement to the left when Keaton's wolf appears followed by Matt and Zach's wolf,

Reaching the patrols I see they are waiting,

Once we reach them I shift back as they had already done.

"Alpha," they bow their heads.

"Were are they?"

"They stopped about a mile out there's about five of them, but they're not rogues,"

Matt shifts back stepping next to me.

"They are from Darrel's pack, I know that scent is more of his scouts,"

"Keaton go check them out try and get close enough and see who they are and report back, don't let them know you're there,"

I say to him through the link, he gives me a grunt as he starts walking off,

Autumn

I couldn't believe that the weekend had arrived already, this week has been like a dream.

Since Reins marked me I have felt more normal like I fit in better I don't feel as if I'm being treated differently no one looks at me like I'm an outcast cause im deaf.

This is where I'm meant to be.

I also feel stronger not physically stronger but emotionally and mentally stronger and I love that he can mind link me, the sound of his voice in my head is so different than when I have my implant on,

Kelly has been a great help this week she has been teaching me how to link Reins which I accidentally did while he was at training and gave him a heart attack,

Mom and Aunt Anna have been so busy getting everything together for this weekend even though Mom knows what I like she still included me in everything.

My dresses came the other day at first Reins was okay with me going just as long as I took Oscar and the boys with me but then he came in just before we were to leave and he said he would have them delivered here for me to try on.

I know he's worried I can feel it sometimes when they are discussing things I know he's looking out for me I just want him to feel like he can tell me things I want to know,

I've also been doing my studies the lady is great her name is Mia, and we get along great she is a werewolf as well Reins said it was easier than explaining why there were so many people living here.

Just as Mia and I were finishing up Oscar came busting through the door looking flushed and rigid.

Causing both Mia and myself to jump.

"Oscar, what's wrong?"

He walks over looks out the window then looks back to the door both Nick and Brad are there then Kelly comes in.

She stops by me.

"Kelly"

"Don't worry, Alpha just asked we stay close," She says to me but I can see it on her face there's more.

"I know there's more what is it?"

She looks at Oscar he just shakes his head but then looks back out the window.

"Kelly!"

I see her shoulders slump.

"Mia could you excuse us, please"

Mia nods her head gathering up her things she waves to me and then walks out,

Kelly watches as she leaves then looks back at me.

"There are wolves at the border, they are not part of our pack Alpha went to check it out," "Who are they then?"

"Not sure yet that's why Alpha went out to replace out who they are and what they're doing here,"

I started to get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach everything was going so well this week, "Reins," I call him through the link.

But I got nothing back normally he would answer me instantly.

"Reins, please talk to me!"

I waited a few more moments when finally.

"Autumn," His husky voice filled my head.

"Reins, what's going on?"

"Stay with Oscar and them don't leave their side, please not till I get back,"

"Reins you are scaring me,"

"Don't worry sweetheart it's will be okay, I'll be back in just a few,"

He cut the link I couldn't reach him again.
