Chapter 100
Nelson’s P.O.V.
There was chaos all over the Royal Coven right now. The vampires were giving the fight for their lives, and we had no desire to leave them alive. We were killing vampires by ripping their hearts out of their bodies and then we put their bodies on fire immediately. We had put so many bodies on fire that it didn’t feel like night due to the light emitted from the fire all around us.
Both William and Killian were on rampage, and it was amazing to see how synchronized both of them were when they never trained together. Both were shifting between their wolf and human forms in the same time period while killing the vampires mercilessly.
“I am in the palace now,” Thomas mind–linked me, making my heart skip a beat. “Search for her. She must be inside his chamber,” I instructed him in a hurried tone while killing a hybrid. The plan was to distract the vampires on the borders from three sides and Thomas would enter the coven, taking advantage of the situation.
I had my own army of hybrids. The only difference among them and the hybrids created by Marcus was that my hybrids didn’t die soon. They were still rational and hadn’t lost their humanity. Still they were killing machine having the abilities of both wolves and the vampires in a perfect balance.
“Thomas has reached,” I told Killian through the family bond. He growled aloud, signaling everyone that we needed to finish this battle as soon as possible. “Killian,” William growled while shifting back in his human form, taking attention of all of us.
“You go to the palace with Nelson. I will take care of them here,” William yelled while putting a dead vampire’s b*dy on fire. Killian nodded to him and looked at me. “Let’s go,” I said to Killian and we both shifted in our wolves while running towards the royal palace.
Marcus was still out of the scene, and now I wondered if he had abandoned his coven at this crucial junction. “Did you replace any trace of Marcus?” I asked Thomas through mind–link. “He is not in the palace, Nelson. I captured one of his ministers and he said that Marcus left the coven half an hour before we attacked them,” he answered me and I growled in displeasure.

“What happened?” Killian asked me through mind link. “Marcus…. He ran away,” I answered him in the same pissed tone. He also growled in displeasure. this time. “Bastard…. He left his coven when they needed him the most?” Killian asked me in an angry tone, and I scoffed. We both were running at the top speed. We both had only one desire right now and it was to see Catherine.
The whole coven was on fire. Vampires didn’t give birth and this was the only good thing for us right now as we didn’t need to kill a child here. Most of the vampires here aged more than three or four hundred years. Some vampires. tried to stop us but we killed them in no time. We had some warriors and ‘hybrids with us.
We both shifted back in our human form as soon as we reached at the entry of the palace. Killian grimaced due to the gloominess of the palace. “This place smell like death,” he muttered while entering the building. “Where are you?” I asked Thomas while sniffing the air to get his scent. “Come to the west wing of the palace. His chamber is here,” Thomas informed me in a calm tone.
“West side,” I instructed Killian briefly while looking around. Two warriors. brought a captive vampire in front of us at the same time. I looked at him. from head to toe. He still had his fangs out while looking at us with pure hatred in his eyes. “Where is Marcus?” I asked him in a cold tone.
He snarled at me, trying to get away from the grip of warriors but they held him tightly. I leaned to his height while looking at him coldly. “Where is Marcus?” I asked him once again in I could see fear in
the same cold tone/ his eyes. “He left… he knew th.. that you are coming. So, he left to get what you leave behind,” he answered me, and a sinister smile appeared on his hips.
The corner of my l*ps curled up and I straightened my back. I didn’t need to tell him or answer him. I signaled my warriors and they gave me a curt nod before dragging the vampire away from us. The vampire yelled at the top of his lungs while struggling hard, but they were stronger than him.
I strode towards the west wing of the palace with Killian walking beside me. We had put on some clothes while our walk towards the west wing. My heart was now thumping aloud against the ribcage. Storm was pacing rapidly at the back of my mind. Both of us wanted to see our mate right now. Nothing was important than to see her.
“Will she be okay?” Killian asked me in a worried tone. I gulped hard because I didn’t know how to answer him. “She must be,” I still managed to utter these

words. “Contact Alpha Adrian and tell him that Marcus can attack them at any time,” I instructed Killian while increasing my pace. “Ask someone to go to the dungeons and rescue those wolves who were still not transformed. Keep.
already transformed inside the cell for the time being.” I instructed him again. in a hurried tone.
“Okay,” he answered me briefly and I almost ran towards Marcus chamber when I saw Thomas standing out of the room. He stopped me when I was about to enter the room. I growled in anger while looking at him angrily. “Brace yourself, Nelson. You will not like the situation inside this room,” he ‘said me in a sad and angry tone.
I stiffened while clutching my fists tightly. “Is she alive?” Killian asked him in a very low tone. Thomas nodded to him, and I released the breath that I was holding back. “Then everything is okay. It doesn’t matter what state she is right now. If she is alive, I will do anything to get her back,” I answered Thomas in a calm tone, and he looked at me sympathetically. Thomas, I and Catherine were childhood friends, and I knew that he was also in pain right
now.
