Coming back to her senses, Victoria turned around, and noticed that the swings were already a distance away from her, and that they were still swinging vigorously. She didn't realize how rash her movements were, while Trevor was the one who was tensed as he was concerned. He was infuriated, and his lips were pale and pursed into a straight line.

That moment, Victoria breathed a sigh of relief, that was close...

She tugged onto Trevor's shirt and collapsed into his arms as she said, "I'm so sorry, hubby! It's my bad! I was too happy when I saw you..."

She was too happy and forgot to take care of herself!

She stuck her tongue out cutely, then hugged him tighter. Perhaps it was because she was used to his presence all the time lately. She felt empty then when she had to be on her own.

"I'll be careful in the future, I won't do this again..." she said.

Trevor was still looking displeased, but his tone became gentler when he spoke again. "Do you need to go to the hospital for a checkup? Do you

feel uncomfortable?"

Trevor was worried that he had scared her with his tone earlier, so he added, "Don't hide it from me, and don't pretend that you're all right. You mustn't lie to me!"

Victoria shook her head, then smiled at him as she said, "No! I didn't feel anything when I ran over just now. I must've already gotten a lot better!"

Trevor was speechless, and poked her on her forehead. She had just started to recover, how could she be so impulsive!

Trevor wrapped his arms around her as he said, "No more swinging in the future! Never mind, I'll get someone to lock the swings up later!"

If she had tripped or used too much force, the outcome would've been unimaginable. Trevor was so worried earlier that his back was drenched in cold sweat. Of course, he didn't know that Victoria only went to sit on it to rest for a while, and that she only swung on it lightly. He didn't know that she didn't actually swing on it.

"There's no need for that..." There was no need for such trouble! She wasn't a little kid who had no self-control!

She turned around and wanted to refute the idea, but was met with his cold glare instead. Victoria looked down obediently as she replied, "Okay..."

Fine, it was up to him then!

"You must be getting too bored at home! Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?" he asked.

"Sounds good!" she said.

Victoria looked up at him with eyes that were lit up. "What are we going to eat for dinner? I feel like eating steak, hotpot, barbecue, and seafood!" "How about we go to a buffet?" he asked.

"Then I'll get changed into a loosely fitted outfit..." Then, she wouldn't have to worry about her stomach bloating up after eating too much!

As Victoria blabbered on, she started to hop excitedly. By the time she noticed the strong grip on her arm, she was already in front of Trevor, and he was holding onto her fingers tightly. Seeing the frown on his face, she stopped moving immediately and took a step back, then caressed his eyebrows lightly.

"Hubby, I'm not a child, I know what I'm doing and won't be wilful! I'll take good care of myself, I won't injure myself again and be a burden to you!" she said.

She was the one who was injured, but after being discharged, he was the one who lost ten pounds! She was never going to forget the ten pounds he had lost for her entire life.

Victoria truly felt that she was back to how she usually was, apart from some occasional tingling pain that she felt. Perhaps it was because she was in a good mood, or because she had just taken a rest, or it could be because she had really gotten a lot better.

Her current situation could already be considered as a good recovery to her normal state. After all, she was severely injured, so the doctor said that the occasional tingling pain would be due to the intermittent response of the nerves, and that it was normal. He also said that she might have to experience it for many years, or even her entire life!

She was mentally prepared for those issues.

"Oh you..." That wasn't what he meant!

Seeing Trevor roll his eyes, Victoria smiled again and said, "I know that you're worried and concerned about me! Since you're concerned about me, I of course can't be a burden to you!"

She stepped forward, then wrapped

her arms around his neck. With the

help of his support, Victoria gave him a deep kiss on his lips. "I want to be able to walk with you, to enjoy the most beautiful sceneries all gver the

world, and not become a burden to you!"

Trevor rubbed his nose against her, and his attitude began to soften.

"Even if you're my burden, you'll be a sweet burden, and it's still my style to bring my sweet burden with me to enjoy the most beautiful sceneries all over the world!" he said.

Even if it was going to be difficult, he would still enjoy doing it.

They glanced at each other with a smile, then walked into the house together slowly. Trevor was mentally prepared, and no longer made a big fuss whenever she moved in big movements, but he still watched over her legs cautiously all the time.

In the buffet restaurant, there was food from different countries around the world, and the atmosphere was lively. They chose a spot near the corner, and enjoyed a relaxing and wonderful dinner.

On the other hand, Selena had just received Trevor's schedule, and was circling the times when Trevor might be free during the week.

After inspecting the schedule, Selena realized that there were only three circles throughout the week, and furrowed her brows. It seemed that he only had the most time that night.

She clenched her fist, got up, turned

around, and tidied up the place. Then, she specifically changed into a new set of pajamas that was just brought to her, and drank a few sips of the sweet soup on her desk. After a while, she lay on the sofa and began to cough vigorously.

"Erkhem...erkhem... Nina..." she called out.

The next second, she could hear the crashing sounds of cups and bowls breaking.

"Are you okay, Miss Duff? Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Nina asked.

Nina patted her on the back lightly, then placed her hand on Selena's forehead to check her temperature. "How did this happen? You were fine before, how did you get ill all of a sudden? I'll fetch you some medicine..."

She took a small bottle of medicine, then fed her the medicine with some water. Seeing Selena weak and groggy, Nina said hurriedly, "You should lay down and have some rest, Miss Duff. Don't worry, I'll give Master Trevor a call right away!" She took the cell phone and left the room.

Selena patted her chest, and couldn't help but to open her mouth wider. She panted profusely, as if she was a fish who had been thrown on the land, and she seemed as if she was in extreme pain.

When the phone rang, Victoria was

coughing and tearing up due to the spiciness of the hotpot. Trevor was busy looking after her, so he glanced at the phone, but didn't answer it. Instead, he took a piece of tissue and wiped Victoria's eyes for her.

"Haha, clever girl, how did you manage to get food in your eyes..." he teased.

Victoria rubbed her nose, then fanned her mouth with her hands.

"Hubby, how can you gloat over my pain? If you didn't stare at that pretty lady, I wouldn't have lost my focus and added so much chili, erkhem... did they add too much chili? Why is it so spicy?" she complained. "Hubby, you can go get the king crab now! Oh, and get a big cheese-baked lobster for me too!" she ordered.

"Get some cold drinks too, some iced ones, maybe the iced pear drink! It's so spicy!" she yelled.

Victoria gave him the orders, then handed him the card. After that, she shoved another small piece of cake into her mouth. Looking at her gobbling up her food, Trevor couldn't help shaking his head.

Was she there to enjoy the food or to suffer?

He got up, then walked over to the food counters on the side. His hands were occupied as he was queuing up and was retrieving the dishes, but his cell phone kept ringing, so he moved to the side and answered the phone impatiently. "I'm busy, I'll call back later!" he said.
