Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 10
AMERY'S
POV
"Well, it looks just like you said." Asher pulled me by my shoulders, placing me right behind him.
Levi stalked forward to attack but was stopped by the wave of his father's hands. He balled his hands into a fist as he stayed back.
I eyed him warily from where I stood behind Asher. Among the three, Levi was the only one that only hearing his name made shivers run through my spine.
"You want to know why?" The Alpha King paused, looking at Asher and Quincy to be sure they were intrigued and would pay attention to him.
"Is it because you're just a tyrant who wants us to forever be as miserable as you are, Father?" Asher gritted his teeth, still holding me safe. The Alpha King spat fire with his eyes.
"Your supposed mate is an abomination." He dropped the bombshell, and my heart followed it, and I felt a huge thud in my chest. "Abomination? My mate? Say that again and you'd be surprised by the consequences." Quincy growled lowly, surprising me.
Asher gave a look to Quincy to calm down, before a frown formed on his face.
"What do you mean by abomination? Go on."
I suddenly felt hot as sweat broke out from the pores of my skin.
"She is cursed." He assured them calmly, but his steel eyes still held the look of disgust whenever our eyes made contact. "Years ago, her parents were rebellious wolves, outcast criminals who thrived on chaos. They crossed a line eventually when they killed off the Alpha King's only daughter before her mating ceremony. It was a heinous crime that not only triggered the pack's wrath, but that of the moon goddess as well. They both became cursed from then on. After realising the gravity of what they'd done, they went to the human world to take cover. But look at what we have here, their little cub right in front of my eyes."
I couldn't believe it. So it was true. My parents were actually wolves, which invariably meant I am a wolf.
Could all this get any worse...
It was just too much to take in as the Alpha king's words sunk in my heart. My thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of Asher and Quincy arguing with the Alpha king.
They were trying to defend me, but it was all fruitless as their father was unyielding and unbending in his judgement.
I watched in despair as Levi took his father's side, betraying me. His supposed mate. But c'mon, he wasn't on my side either. Never had been. Instead, he scares me and annoys the crap out of me at the same time.
The sight of him standing there with a smirk of triumph planted on his face made my blood boil and my heart burn in anger.
"You can't do this to her, father!" Asher raised his voice, his eyes blazing with fury. "Those were her parents. She has done nothing! Absolutely nothing!"
Quincy, equally enraged, spoke up.
"I know you've always been a selfish bastard of a father, but for the sake of whatever appeals to your sick heart, don't hold her responsible for something she had no control over."
There seemed to be a high level of unresolved tension between the Alpha King and Quincy. It shocked me that he was taking my side, considering that he hardly pays me any mind.
He still seemed nonchalant, mostly concerned with going against his father, and it felt like he might just be doing it for the fun of it.
But even with all the blunt truth his sons were giving, the Alpha king remained unfazed.
"She doesn't have to do anything. Being the daughter of traitors automatically makes her tainted. The blood of her parents runs through her. She deserves to be punished. Finally, justice is here." My head was about to explode.
I wanted to scream, to tell him he was wrong. I was nothing like my parents, I had nothing to do with their crimes. I am not even the type of human that doesn't own up to her mistakes or errors.
"You are wasting your time, brothers." Levi chuckled, his hands casually folded across his broad chest. "Father's mind is made up, and he is in the right. She isn't worth our time. Let her stay and rot in the dungeon where she belongs." With swift speed, Asher and Quincy jumped on Levi, but he was too strong for them.
Asher was the first to fall, his back hitting a pillar as blood splattered from his mouth.
Quincy, upon seeing Asher down, increased his voraciousness but he wasn't up to Levi's match. Levi knew every move, dodged all attacks and returned every move with a powerful counter attack.
Tears streamed down my face as I watched my only hope of survival get beaten to a pulp.
And at last, Quincy fell to the ground with a huge thud, his body broken and bruised.
Levi stood over him triumphantly, a smirk on his face as he looked over at me. I knew that look all too well; it was the same one he had given me earlier when he strangled me.
He strolled closer and I started backing off immediately, but he kept on and was getting dangerously close to me. I did the next thing I knew best-run!
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, my heart beating hard with every step I took.
Looking back at every interval to be sure he wasn't hot on my trails and as luck would have it, he wasn't in sight.
I reduced my speed, trying to catch my breath.
Suddenly, I was pinned to the wall with a huge force, my head hitting hardly against the cemented walls of the palace.
I looked up at my attacker, my breath hitched up in my throat as I saw the familiar look of disgust.
Levi!
"Hello, dear Amery. Think you could run away from me?" His hot breath teased my neck, leaving hot tingles with every word he spoke.
I couldn't respond, I was in fear of what he would do to me and in fear of the weird way I was feeling as he leaned in closer.
"Are you deaf? Or you can't hear me? Do you need me to use some tools to make your hearing better?" He sneered down at me, using his index finger to lift my chin up.
I looked at him with all the boldness I could muster, but he wasn't looking at me. I followed his trails and his grey eyes were fixed on my lips.
A sudden wave of excitement and longing ran through my body, as the heat between my legs almost made my knees give way.
"Oh, dear Amery..."
And suddenly, he crashed his lips on mine, my eyes widened in shock as my hand involuntarily went to his chest to push him off.
Yet they stayed on their own accord.
His lip texture was as confusing as him, hard yet soft and my body shook in excitement. His tongue pleaded to gain entrance, I let him in.
It felt so good, until he broke off and spat on the ground.
"This..." He pointed towards my lips, and gave a sick face. "...is the most irritating thing I have ever done. You are repulsive."
Ouch. My heart fell.
I struggled to pull away from his grasp but he was too strong. His fingers tightened around my throat, cutting off my air supply.
I gasped for breath, but only managed to wheeze out a choked sound.
My visions began to blur and I felt as though I was sinking into a black void.
Panic surged through me, and I fought harder, clawing at his arms in a desperate attempt to break free, but he held on relentlessly, his expression stone cold.
My lungs burned and my body revulsed with the need for air. The world around me grew darker and darker until I could barely see Levi's form looming over me.
Everything was fading away and I knew it won't take long till I go all out. A wave of despair surged through me as his hands tightened.
This was the end.
I have finally met my doom, I am dying in the hands of the monster whose eyes blazed with disgust. His lips, which turned into a deep smirk, held contempt as he strangled the living daylights out of me. My sight dimmed to the darkness, tired of fighting, I remained calm and sunk into the cold arms of death.
Would it be an eternal abyss of nothingness, or would my soul live on in some other form?
