Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 74
AMERY
.
"It's just a project Amery. What's the worse that could happen?" I asked myself repeatedly as I made my way to the bus station. "It's either you'll be killed and buried alive by Levi who hates you or worse. That's the only thing that could happen. You've already faced death before right? And you've cheated death many times. This is going to be one of those times when you'll try to cheat death again should in case it happens for the fifth or sixth time."
I chanted continuously as I tried to console myself about the decision that I have made. What was I thinking when I agreed to do this shitty project at their house instead? I had even gone as far as lying to my parents that it was a friend's place because knowing mother, she'd definitely react if she replaces out that I was in an apartment alone with three hot triplets who would do anything to make me theirs.
I could've at least come up with a lie that would convince my parents and tell me otherwise so that they would let me have a strange, random boy over but I didn't. As usual, I took matters into my own hands. How amazing!
What can I do other than make sure that I stick to Asher and under no circumstances would I ever get close to Levi. I would do my very best to steer clear away from his path at all cost. If I have to be invisible, dead or buried or turned into an asthetically beautiful statue that cannot be moved or recognized by him, then I would do it. Anything at all so that I wouldn't get on his bad side or on any of his sides at all.
Screw it Amery, you're doomed!
You've just willingly walked into the lion's den with your own two feet. At least Quincy had given me an option but I let myself get lost in the moment with Asher that I agreed to his choices without thinking twice.
Maybe I should call Quincy to cancel. But if I do that then I'd also suffer. It was his project as much as it was mine and running away or avoiding him also meant failing on my part.
Should I ask him to come over instead? I might be able to fool him into believing that I had fallen sick but then, everyone at home knows that I'm not and the scandal that had happened in our neighborhood earlier because of Asher's visit had already caused a stir and if a boy with the same build as Asher came over then it'll only bring up speculations.
So far, I'm out of options and I have no choice than to agree to this either. No matter what happens, I'd have to take care of myself and make sure that I don't get hurt.
The bus comes to a stop at the junction and I cover the remaining distance to Asher's house on foot. Their home was pretty excluded from the main city. It was situated at the outskirts of town and the bus ride took me approximately thirty minutes.
Who gets a house so far away from people. I feel like one of those girls in a horror movie and trust me, it's not as pleasing as I expected it to be.
I arrived at the premise of a huge gate that had the initials of a wolf-like drawing carved on it like a signature. No doubt that it's the address. They're doing a pretty good job trying to blend in with the humans.
"Who's that?" I heard the deep scrawny voice of a man and the next thing I knew, the gates pulled open to reveal two hefty men who would pass out as bodyguards and protectors.
"Who are you and what do you want here?" One of the men asked and I could tell that he wasn't the one who answered me earlier. "You're not supposed to be here kid. It's dangerous for little girls to wander alone so beat it."
"I am here on an invitation and I think that you'd be seeing me more often so do me a favor and call your boss out here. He knows who I am." I said in a bold voice that had them both taken aback. Serves them right for calling me a little kid. "Are you Amery perhaps?" The first one asked and I nodded.
Their eyes widened in shock and they immediately apologized. "We're so sorry. Forgive us for not recognizing you sooner. Prince Asher had already informed us of your visit and he asked us to let you in when you arrive."
Prince Asher? My brain processed those words again. I looked back from the two of them. If they addressed him as a prince then it only means that they know of his identity and if they know about his identity then it only implies that they were werewolves too. Holy mother of cats on wheels!
I'm about to walk into the den of wolves like before. How can I trust that it just wasn't a trap? What if it was another one of their plans to kill me again? Could it be what I'm thinking or is my brain playing tricks on me? I wouldn't blame it though. We had both gone through traumatic experiences these past few weeks so it was okay to think like that. Just what exactly am I getting myself into this time?
"This way please." They said and stepped aside allowing me to enter. "And please do not let them know about what had happened my lady." They pleaded but I brushed them off anyways.
I hesitated but slowly made my way through and I am astonished at the beauty that had caught my fancy. My jaw dropped to the ground at the magnificent building in front of me. I had never imagined them to live in such a beautiful place. I knew that they were princes and that they had come from a long line of great and powerful Alphas but this right here, took me by surprise. It was so beautiful and even much better than their home in the other realm.
As i walked through the path that led to the mansion, i admired every single thing that caught my attention. There was a mini fountain that was situated at the centre of the building. I could also spot the gardens that were filled with flowers.
This place feels like it just came out of a storybook. It feels like a dream.
I walked up to the front porch and knocked on the door but there was no response. Instead, the door creaked slightly open. I pushed it backwards and it gave way immediately.
"Oh my goodness!" I exclaimed. My hands holding my bag firmly as I slowly made my way inside. Here I was thinking that the outside was more beautiful. The inside was simply breathtaking. Chef's kiss if you ask me.
"Asher?" I called out again but I am met with silence. A thick silence that was deafening.
Just then, I heard the closing sound of a door from afar and I quickly traced the sound to locate it. My feet carried me swiftly as though I had been here before when it was indeed my very first time.
I approached the first door situated at the right wing of the huge hallway. I heard ruffling sounds coming from inside and without warning, I pushed the door open.
My jaw falls to the ground at the sight of a naked Levi who had just dropped his towel to the ground. He turned to face me and his eyes darkened immediately. I couldn't tell if he was surprised, shocked or angry to see me but the look in his eyes were definitely not pleasing.
"I-I'm sorry." I stuttered. I was fighting so hard not to stare at his croch but damn, it felt like an almost impossible thing to do.
Hot! I was feeling so hot and my whole body was practically on fire at the sight in front of me. "I had no idea that this was your bedroom. I swear that I didn't mean to come here...." I fumbled with the handle of the door. My whole body a nervous wreck. "I'll take my leave now and I'm sorry."
Before he would say anything, I stormed out of his room and closed the door shut. I leaned on the door as I tried to get my heart beating properly again.
My brain replayed the incident for the second time and I was beyond embarrassed. The hotness climbed up from my neck to my cheeks and settled there.
I heard his footsteps coming from inside his room and immediately ran away but then I bumped into in a huge wall. Took me a minute to realize that it was none other than Asher.
"You came." He mused happily and pulled me into a hug. Why was he so excited when we had met earlier today at school.
I smiled at his words and hugged him back. His cologne relaxed my nerves that were all over the place and my heart that was almost on the verge of exploding, had already started beat at the normal rate again.
