Jeffry waited for Glenn to speak, but the prolonged silence made him increasingly uncomfortable.

“Mr.

Johns, what’s the meaning of calling us here and then staying silent?” Jeffry frowned, clearly irritated.

“Are you playing games with us?”

“Are we the ones playing games?” Glenn replied calmly.

Rowan, observing from the side, noted Glenn’s composed demeanor with surprise.

Even under pressure, Glenn remained unfazed, which was impressive and unnerving.

Jeffry’s heart skipped a beat but he tried to maintain his angry facade.

“Glenn, what do you mean? You’ve plagiarized our work, causing us significant losses, and now our project is stalled.

And you accuse us of playing games? What’s your plan to resolve this issue?”

“How do you intend to deal with this?” Glenn retorted.

Jeffry had been expecting this exact question.

He answered, “If I take you to court, the fines will be so steep that you won’t be able to cover them and the Johns Group will be forced into bankruptcy.

We’ve raised Madisyn, and because of that, I’m offering you a way out.

Just transfer the Johns Group to me.”

Glenn snorted dismissively.

Jeffry felt insulted.

“What’s that supposed to mean? I’m trying to help you here! The Johns Group will survive, and who knows, maybe someday, I will return it to you and let you take the reins again!”

He assumed that if he were in Glenn’s shoes, he would definitely accept these terms.

“And what if I refuse?” Glenn inquired.

“If you don’t agree, then we’ll be seeing each other in court!”

Jeffry declared with arrogance, convinced Glenn wouldn’t actually choose that path.

After all, anyone with half a brain would know what choice to make here.

Glenn, however, stayed cool, casually sipping his coffee, which only made Jeffry feel foolish.

The more Jeffry pondered, the more it irritated him.

Glenn was still acting all high and mighty, even with everything falling apart.

“Mr.

Johns, have you made a decision?” Jeffry pressed, his patience wearing thin.

“I’ll let you know in a day,” Glenn responded.

“Alright,” Jeffry said, finally content with the response.

He wasn’t concerned about the delay; he was sure of the outcome.

He even managed a smile.

“Mr.

Johns, order whatever you want.

After today, you might not get another meal like this.”

Seeing Jeffry’s smug grin, Glenn replied flatly, “No, thanks.

You enjoy the meal.”

With that, he and Rowan got up and left.

On their way to the car, neither of them spoke up.

Rowan wanted to say something but, caught by the intensity of Glenn’s profile, he couldn’t replace the words.

Once they were in the car, Glenn broke the silence first.

“What do you think our next move should be?”
