Fall For “My Husband’s Uncle” By Janet Macadam -
Chapter 94
Chapter 94
“I’ve seen everything. What’s there to be ashamed of?” Carlos grabbed the blanket and pulled it away with a little force.
After all, there was a huge disparity in strength between the two of them. Edith couldn’t resist him at all.
His burning gaze fell on her, making her feel very insecure. She couldn’t help but move her legs away from him, but her ankle was tightly pinched by Carlos‘ rough big hand.
“If I really wanted to do something to you, I would have done it in the hotel. Plus, if I want to sleep with you, can you stop
me?”
He looked up, and his sharp gaze felt like the stars in the sea, deeply touching her.,
He was a baritone, so his voice was on the mellow side. His hoarse voice would sound particularly sexy and charming when he spoke in that way.
His voice was like the sound of nature. She would not get tired of it for the rest of her life.
She didn’t dodge this time, but she still felt a little uncomfortable. After all, he was her senior now. She was even a little worried. What would Simon think if he suddenly came back and saw this scene when he opened the door?
In fact, she didn’t pay much attention to what Carlos said at all. He wanted to marry her just because he wanted to use her as an excuse, or because he was really greedy for every penny he could earn. In short, it couldn’t be because of love.
He wouldn’t love her at all, and she wouldn’t respond to him either. But why was she so nervous that her heart beat faster?
Especially when his rough big hand pinched her ankle, the brief touch made her tremble slightly, as if she had been hit by a tiny electric current.
He used his index finger to pick up the ointment and smeared it on her bright red wound. It hurt so much that she gasped.
After all, he was a rough man and had never taken care of a woman like this before. He had inevitably used too much force.
In fact, Carlos had never thought he would be like this one day.
When he saw Edith being humiliated, he wanted to kill that man.
When he saw her covered in injuries, he felt his heart soften. He just wanted to case her pain as soon as possible and let her be fine.
It was obvious she couldn’t stand the pain. How could he bear to let her suffer?
When he saw her pained face, he immediately relented and loosened his grip.
“Does it hurt a lot?” he asked.
Edith said stubbornly, “It’s alright…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Carlos pressed harder. She was caught off guard and cried out in pain.
“It hurts…”
Her eyes were red, and tears were about to fall. Her long eyelashes were wet, and she looked pitiful.
She looked at him in annoyance, seriously suspecting he was taking revenge on her.
Carlos continued to apply ointment to her wound. His voice was low and gentle, mixed with a trace of rare gentleness.
Chapter 94
If it hurts, just say it. You won’t get any sympathy by holding it in.”
When Edith heard this, her heart skipped a beat, and she stared at him in a daze.
No one had ever told her this before. It seemed no one had ever felt sorry for her. Johann rarely cared about her either, saying she was a strong girl and could handle everything alone.
Vanessa mocked her, saying she didn’t know how to pretend to be weak and that men didn’t need her at all.
She seemed to have learned something from Johann, but she didn’t quite understand what he meant. When she heard what Carlos said, she was suddenly enlightened.
She could play the weakling, but who would she show it to? Carlos?
She stared at him unblinkingly, studying his handsome profile. Her heart felt like it was being squeezed, and she found it difficult to breathe.
“He’s not that bad, is he?”
