Chapter 36

Melony

"Mark, I need answers and you are going to give them to me. Don't make me use my command on you." I sent him a 'don't mess with me look'.

"UGHHH, fine. What do you want to know?" Mark asked, throwing his hands in the air.

"Were they together?" simple and straight to the point.

"No." Mark answered flatly and I glared at him, not believing it. "They weren't together in the way you are thinking. I think they fooled around with each other a few times, but they never dated. It was purely physical." "How sure are you? No emotional connection?" I countered.

"No Mel, Theodore doesn't do relationships. He keeps emotions out of everything. He has just changed since you came around. You're the only one I have ever seen him like this with. I swear." I wanted to believe Mark, but then just as the words left his mouth, I felt a sharp pain straight in my heart. Like it was being ripped out of my chest. I clutched it and screamed. "AHHHH!" I couldn't breathe. The pain was terrible. Mark was next to me in a second.

"Melony!! Whats wrong?! Are you okay?! s**t! Theodore is going to kill me!!" He tried to lift me up. Just as quickly as the pain came, it was gone.

"Mateee..." Harper whimpered. Then it hit me. Theo was in there with Jessica!! I am going to chop his d**k off!. I pushed Mark aside and barged through the door. There stood Jessica with her arms wrapped around Theo while Theodore was trying to shove her off. He hasn't seen me yet, but she sure has.

"I TOLD YOU TO GET HER OUT OF HERE!!" I boomed. Jessica was instantly submitting to my commands, Mark was beside me doing the same. Theodore quickly turned toward me and said, "It isn't what it looks like, Melony."

"It may not be what it looks like, but I definitely know what happened. I felt it! You practically gave me a heart attack out there because you didn't make this sl*t leave like I had asked you!" my voice cold.

"W-wh-what do you mean?" he stuttered out. I know he didn't do anything wrong, or try to cheat on me. He was shoving her away and trying to get her to stop. I didn't care though, I was pissed. Fuming!

"This is what I mean!!" I turned to my side and gripped Mark by the shirt and pulled him toward me hard. Then I crashed my lips directly onto his.

"AHHH!" Theo let out a yell and gripped his chest, bending at his waist. I pulled away from Mark and he was stiff as a board. His face, pure panic, and shock. His eyes were as big as saucers. Theodore stood up, the pain gone since I released my hold on his Gamma. A deep, angry, threatening growl vibrated from Theo, his eyes blazing with fire, his target. Mark. I stepped in front of Mark, shielding him.

"NO! You don't get to be mad at him. You get to be mad at her!" I pointed a finger at Jessica accusingly. "You saved her twice, Theo. Now, either, you get her the f**k out of our territory or I will in fact rip her throat out."

Theodore turned to Jessica, "Jessica Smith, I, Alpha Theodore Nix of the Bloodmoon Pack, denounce you as a member and tracker of our pack. You are banished from our territory, you are now considered rouge and if you dare step foot on our lands, you will be considered a threat and killed instantly. You have 30 minutes to gather your belongings and leave!" He turned to Mark next. "Gamma, make sure she gets her things and see her off our territory. You are dismissed after that, but I will see you in my office first thing in the morning."

Mark gulped, a big gulp. Nodded his head and grabbed Jessica to pull her out the door while she was crying and throwing her body all over the place. As soon as the door shut, Theodore started in on me.

"You kissed my f**king Gamma, Melony!!!" He yelled at me.

"and that blonde bimbo kissed you. It meant nothing, but you needed to know I could feel that and I would not allow her another chance to put me in that position again."

"I want to literally rip his head off right now!"

"I know, but your not going to," I made my way over to him and placed my hands on his chest, rubbing across them and then wrapping my arms around his neck, "because it was my fault, not his. It meant nothing. Mark is like a brother to me, my lips are for you, Alpha." I stood on my toes and placed my lips over his. It took him a minute, then he fell into the kiss and wrapped his arms around my waist, deepening the kiss. Eventually, we pulled away breathless and I looked up into his eyes. "Come on, its almost morning. We have had a long day. Lets try to get some sleep." I pulled him to our bed and we both crawled in, replaceing the comfort of each other's embrace. Sleep consumes both of us almost instantly.

I woke up and heard the shower running. I did my morning stretch while stifling a yawn. I looked over at the clock on Theodores stand and it was only 8am. We had approximately 4 hours of sleep. Today was going to be a long day. I lay there thinking about the event that happened hours ago. I most definitely owe Mark an apology and I would make sure that Theo goes lightly on him. I tried to feel bad for Jessica for being a rouge, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. She deserved what she got. It is an act of crime to disrespect your Alpha or Luna and I let that woman go twice for doing it to me. By the third time, I couldn't do it anymore. Besides, we were preparing for a war, and we needed our pack to have our backs. I trust every single person here to fight for me and Theo and protect us all. Jessica I wouldn't be able to trust. If we went to war and she was there, I would feel like I would have to watch my back from her. If I was backed into a corner and needed help and she was the only one around, I had no doubt she would keep going and act like she saw nothing. I can't have that in our pack. I decided I should get up and go talk to Theodore or, better yet, join him in the shower. I felt my stomach heat up in anticipation. I climbed out of bed and started to go to the closet for clothes when something caught my eye. I turned to face the window and taped to it was a note for me. I stood there not moving. I was in a trance.

I heard Theodore exit the bathroom, "Good morning Love," I could hear him talking but I couldn't answer him. "Melony?" He was getting closer to me, "Mel, whats wrong?"

All I could do was take my hand up and point to the note. I watched his eyes leave my face and followed the movement of my hand. I felt his calmness turn into sudden rage, as he stomped over and ripped it off the window. There in writing was a letter from the enemy. Dearest Melony,

I am so sorry you couldn't make it last night.

I hoped something had just come up, but then again,

I don't really care. Since you didn't come willingly.

Then I will come and get you myself.

See you soon my love.

I was scared when I first saw the note, frozen in place, not moving. How could this note get so close to me? Did they come last night and I didn't notice? Were they right here while I was sleeping? I could have died. They were watching me. Then I got confused. How would they have gotten onto our land undetected? We would have been notified if there was a breach at some point. THEN I got angry. Maybe someone didn't get through our borders without being detected. Maybe they were already here. I turned to Theodore. "Theo, were you contacted about a breach at all? or anything unfamiliar outside of our packhouse?"

Theodore must have realized what I had figured out. He felt the same way I did. We were angry. How could someone in our pack betray us like this? I didn't think I could get any angrier. Then Theodore's words hit me and I was down right flaming angry. "Another note. This time at our house. They are getting closer." He spoke so quietly I almost wouldn't have heard him, but my senses have gotten stronger since my powers have started to come in. What does he mean 'they'? Another note? Has he been getting these and keeping them from me?

"What do you mean 'another note' and 'getting closer' Theodore?!" my hands were on my hips and Theos' face looked like he had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Which gave me the answer I needed. I marched to the closet to throw clothes on. When I emerged, I instructed my mate next, "I suggest you go get changed, you have some questions you need to answer because right now I am extremely mad at you!
