Chapter 365: The Mysterious Woman

The next day, before the sun came out, there was another knock at the door.

No need to think, it was Solomon again who had got up early in the morning and had rushed to replace the place because he knew it.

Perhaps because of their experience, both of them got dressed much faster.

As soon as they opened the door, Solomon rushed in like the wind and hugged Eloise, "Mummy, the view from this lodge is so nice, can you go on a picnic with me? I'd like to fly a kite." Eloise rubbed his head and whispered, "Yes."

Hector, on the other hand, was a little displeased and raised an eyebrow, "Solomon, don't you even invite Daddy to fly a kite with you?"

Solomon thought for a moment before nodding and saying in a soft voice, "Can you get us a cloth, food and a kite for the picnic, Daddy? Thank you daddy!"

Hector shook his head and laughed when he heard the little boy say that.

Rupert happened to come over and overheard the conversation and was overjoyed, laughing with Eloise.

After all, it was Solomon who had asked for it, so Hector went ahead and did it anyway, dragging Rupert along with him to get things ready because he was laughing too much.

On the way Rupert grimaced a little disgruntled, "Brother, you're too much, you can't let your sister-in-law get tired, so you send me to do the hard work."

"I'm coming too."

Rupert had nothing to say.

He said he was doing hard labour, but in fact he just went and picked out the food and sent someone to bring it over.

It was a rare occasion to relax, and the view from this lodge was really nice, so a few people had a good time for the day.

But with the exception of Solomon, everyone else was busy, so they just took a couple of days off work and headed back to the city afterwards.

When they arrived home, Hector's mother had prepared a huge table for them to enjoy.

Eloise was a little surprised and said, "What a day, Auntie, why are you cooking so much?"

Hector's mother looked at her and loved her from the bottom of her heart and said, "You've got half a foot in the door of the Rogers family, you're almost a daughter-in-law of the Rogers family, it's not a big day yet." Eloise was embarrassed by Hector's mother's comment and said in a low voice, "Auntie, you all knew about it ..."

"I already knew about it, someone posted it to their friends at the time, you guys are really something, you didn't even tell us about such a big event." Hector's mother was smiling when she said this, although she looked a bit reproachful. Hector was afraid that Hector's mother would get the wrong idea and explained, "Mum, it was all my idea and it was kind of a surprise, so I didn't say anything in advance."

"Good, good, just be nice, don't stand around, eat."

There had been so many delays over the last few days that after dinner the two Rogers family brothers went to the office.

Eloise had almost had enough rest for the last few days and followed Hector to work the next day.

As soon as Hector entered the office door, he saw Rupert and a woman in black standing there waiting.

When he saw him coming, Rupert called out, "Brother." The woman in black, on the other hand, called out respectfully, "Boss."

Hector, who had been at the mall for a long time, was surprised by this scene and said, "Why are you back?"

He asked the woman in black, who was extremely attractive and had delicate features, but her face was expressionless, giving her the impression that she was a stranger and not to be approached, more like an ice beauty. Hearing Hector's question, the woman also hurriedly spoke back, "Hall and Ramm were busy luring those people abroad away, and sent me to deliver the goods."

At that, Hector nodded slightly, if that was the case, she did have to come back.

Then he remembered something else and said, "Where's the stuff? Have you brought it over yet?"

The woman nodded and hurriedly took out a safe, handing it to Hector in silence.

Since it was something given to Hector, he naturally knew the password, only to see him take it and open it very skilfully, only to see that there was a cup of chips inside, as well as a USB stick. These two items, both of which were placed very solemnly in the box, looked very important.

Hector opened it and looked at it carefully, and after confirming that it was correct, he said to the woman, "Thank you for your hard work."

The woman nodded and busily continued, "I should."

Then she added, "Hall asked me to stay by Boss's side for a while, to protect your safety. Secondly, and to avoid the gang lurking in the shadows and snatching the chip."

Hector was silent for a moment before nodding, "That's fine."

He then turned to Rupert and said, "Rupert, go to the personnel department and settle down with Marian again."

Marian was the woman's name.

Rupert had no problem with this, and as Hector had spoken, he nodded, "Don't worry, brother, I'll take care of it."

But to his surprise, Marian seemed to be reluctant, and after a moment's hesitation, she said, "If I may, can I stay with Boss? Give me any secretary position you want, I can do it."

Hearing her say this, Hector also fell into contemplation; after all, Eloise was now in the president's office too, for fear of causing unnecessary misunderstandings.

He looked at Marian and finally nodded, "That's fine, then go and pack up and come straight over when you're done."

After saying that, he passed a look to Rupert again, who understood and took Marian down with him.

As for Eloise, she adapted to the company very quickly. Originally, all the people in the department were graduates from prestigious universities, and everyone had their own pride, thinking that Eloise had come in through the back door. In the first two days of her arrival, Eloise heard rumours every day.

But what they didn't expect was that Eloise was so efficient and thorough that within a day she was impressing them.

One morning, when Eloise came to work, she saw a man scratching his head, as if he had hit a snag.

Eloise went over to him and said softly, "What's wrong?"

That person was also new to the job, not quite sure who Eloise was, and said unapologetically, "I've been thinking about this proposal for a long time, and I don't know how to change it, it's due today, and I just can't do anything about it." Eloise looked at it, and it wasn't really that difficult, so she busily volunteered to take the mouse and keyboard and had it changed in less than twenty minutes.

When she was done, she pointed out some of the shortcomings in the proposal and gave her advice on how to change it.

At this point, there was another discussion behind the scenes.

"Did you know that there is a very good-looking female secretary in the president's office?"

"Really?"

"It's said to be especially good looking!"
