Chapter 366: Jealousy

She had heard the news of Marian's arrival, but Eloise did not take it to heart because she knew that Hector loved her, and to love someone you have to trust them completely, and she felt that love did not need to be doubted. At noon, Eloise received a text message from Hector asking her to come up for lunch and went straight upstairs.

When she arrived at Hector's office floor, she saw a newly created secretarial position and also noticed the person in the seat, thinking she was the rumoured Marian of the day, very beautiful indeed. Unlike Eloise's soft beauty, Marian's is aggressive and this makes Eloise a little uncomfortable.

There is no smoke and mirrors in the war between women, just the sound of conquest as they size each other up.

The assistant, upon seeing Eloise, rushed forward to greet her with a smile, "Sister Eloise, you're here, let me introduce to you, this is the president's newly arranged secretary, Marian." "Marian, this is the president's fiancée, Miss Eloise, who is also the president's secretary."

Marian smiled and greeted politely, "Sister Eloise, how do you do, I'm Marian."

As she spoke, Marian kept looking Eloise up and down as if she were looking at a commodity, this was the first time she had come into contact with Eloise and she was not aware of it. Eloise was a little uncomfortable being observed by such a gaze.

Marian had known about the presence of a woman at Hector's side before she returned home, and the news had always gnawed at her, but now that she saw her in person, her aura was no less than her own, and a fire of jealousy rose in Marian's heart.

She was not fond of smiling herself, and this was mixed with a touch of aggression.

Eloise didn't want to get involved too much, so she responded with a simple nod. When she arrived at the office, Hector greeted her quickly.

"Eloise, come on, today Mum has prepared your favourite roast pork, come and try it."

Eloise's displeasure dissipated when she smelt the food.

"Still a busy day at work?" Hector asked with concern, seeing the tired look on her face.

Eloise shook her head, "Yes, the thought of my boss being my boyfriend fills me with energy and work makes me happy."

She said and made a heart gesture, Hector looked at her dotingly.

It was a good lunch and the two of them had a good time together.

But Hector kept on flicking food into her bowl, as if he was afraid she wouldn't get enough, until Eloise burped loudly and Hector smiled and stopped.

The two of them were in the midst of their lovemaking when there was a knock on the door and Marian's voice came through, "President, Solomon is here."

Eloise hurriedly got off Hector's lap, if anyone had seen her, they would have said she was using Hector to get ahead.

Seeing Eloise flee, Hector smiled without saying a word.

It was only after she had stood that Hector spoke lazily, "Come in."

Marian pushes the door open and when Solomon sees Eloise, he rushes straight over to her, hugging her thighs with gusto.

"Mummy! Solomon missed you so much."

Marian was surprised to hear Solomon's name, and wondered why Solomon was calling her Mummy.

It was then that she felt that things had gotten a little out of hand; she had thought that Eloise had just taken care of Hector, but now Solomon was being extra affectionate with her in a way that even she had never been before. It occurred to her that Solomon was close to herself because she had saved his life before, but Solomon was close with a slight detachment, not like he was to the woman in front of her.

It was in her presence that Solomon acted like a child, completely dependent, a feeling that only comes from being with one's mother.

As she watched Solomon and Eloise play, Marian's face changed slightly, emboldened by her belief that no one in the world could handle Solomon except herself.

But after seeing her today, she felt that she had been very wrong. She had not expected this woman to be so clever.

She shouldn't have stayed abroad on her mission, she should have come back earlier, but unfortunately there is no pill of regret to buy in this world.

At this moment, Marian's heart felt as if she was going through a big catastrophe, but her face remained unmoving, and she turned to leave without saying anything.

"Why did Solomon suddenly come over, didn't he go to nursery today?" Eloise enquired as she hugged Solomon.

Solomon wrapped his arms tightly around Eloise's neck and gave her a big kiss on the cheek, answering sweetly, "Because Solomon was really missing Mummy too much, so he told his teacher that he wasn't feeling well." Upon hearing Solomon's answer, Eloise was a little tearful.

Thinking that Solomon had lied to get here, she said in a slightly serious tone, "This is your school day, and it is also Mummy's work day.

You can't just play smart for your own selfish reasons, and besides, lying children are not liked, so don't do it again, you hear?"

This was the first time Eloise had spoken to Solomon in such a stern tone and Solomon realised at this point that he might have really upset his mummy and whispered, "Mummy, Solomon knows that he was wrong and will never do that again, so I hope that mummy won't be angry."

Hector looked at her slightly irritated face and loved it, watching mother and son dotingly from the sidelines.

Seeing that Solomon had really learned his mistake, Eloise stopped being stern-faced and played with Solomon again.

After lunch, Eloise and Solomon played in the office.

After a while Solomon got tired of playing and fell asleep on Eloise's body.

After putting Solomon down, Eloise thought about going back to work, but was hugged from behind by Hector, who said gently, "Eloise, you should get some sleep too."

Eloise laughed and laughed as she gave Hector's hand a little smack and said, "I'm here to work, not sleep."
