I opened my eyes and found myself on the sofa and in Blake’s arms. He was pale and his eyes wrinkled in concern. He stroked my face with his fingers and kissed my forehead.

“Baby, are you feeling better?” His voice, hoarse and full of worry matched the expression on his handsome face. I nodded and tried to move, but Blake held me closer to his chest, not letting go. His loud and unsteady heartbeat sent shivers down my spine, and I snuggled closer to him. It felt safe and relaxing to be in his arms that way.

“How did you replace me?” I whispered, still not looking at him. My feelings were volatile. I was happy to have him by my side and angry at what he had put me through the last few days.

“It wasn’t hard, babe. I asked your dad for Fabrizio’s number and borrowed my best friend’s private jet. Your father scolded me after I told him what had happened before you left,” Blake replied.

My husband’s reply made me look at him. His face was so close to mine that our breaths mingled and my heart skipped a beat. He was so close yet so far.

“Damn, Nat, I can’t hold back anymore, sweetie. I’m sorry. Your scent is driving me insane.” Blake cursed under his breath and captured my lips in a desperate, demanding k**s, taking my breath away. I tried to push him back but he was unyielding. He bit my lower l*p and demanded entrance to my mouth, entangling his tongue with mine, pulling me tighter in his arms, not letting go.

“Em, I should leave you alone for a while,” Lisa’s voice came from afar and the sound of the door closing indicated that she had left the apartment.

Wait! Was Lisa present when Blake kissed me? Fu.ck, that was embarrassing.

I found the strength and pushed Blake back. My breathing was uneven and it took me a while to speak.

“Blake, what are you doing? Lisa had to leave the house because of you,” I accused. “And why did you just k**s me? Who told you I wanted you to k**s me? So many things happened, Blake. This time you went too far,” I said and left his arms and the sofa.

I walked over to the window and stood there looking out, my hands unexpectedly covering my flat belly.

“Nat, please let me explain baby. There was a reason I didn’t come after you on the day you left. You see there had been an accident…”

“I know all about it, Blake. Lucas sent me a message and informed me about everything, including Emma’s lies. That’s not my problem though. Do you know how I felt when I heard you say that no one but you had the right to decide her baby’s fate?

Was that the promise you made when we decided we would make a new start? Didn’t you promise me you would keep nothing from me and we would always make our decisions about the things that concerned our future together?” I knew I sounded bitchy and jealous, but that was my least concern.

“Natalia, it was Aries’s spontaneous reaction, not mine baby. My wolf acted thoughtlessly, baby, not me.”

“And what separates you from Aries, Blake? He is your other half,” I accused and Blake looked at me, speechless.

“Natalia, please let him explain,” Aries interfered and Leia attacked.

“Explain what Aries? Are you such a di.ck to believe whatever that b***h told your human? Did you scent your baby on her, you a*s.hole?” Leia growled at him and Aries had no reply for her.

“What was her scent like, Aries? Can’t you separate who is carrying your pup, you mutt? While I was dozing off with exhaustion and sickness because of you, you wanted to play daddy cool with that b***h’s fake pup? This has gone too far, Aries. I never expected you to be that stupid,” Leia accused Blake’s wolf confusing him even more.

“Leia, this is not the time,” I tried to reason with my wolf but she wouldn’t listen.

“Leia what do you mean? Why were you sick because of me?” Aries asked, still confused by my wolf’s reaction.

“Figure it out yourself, you i***t!” Leia growled and blocked Aries.

Leia’s reaction dumbfounded Blake. He left the sofa and took small steps toward me, a questioning look on his face.

“Natalia?’ His voice came out as a whisper.

My eyes met his and he noticed my tears.

“Baby, is everything all right? Leia said she was feeling unwell. Is that why you fainted? Should we go see a doctor?” He took more steps toward me and I stepped back.

“I guess Aries is not the only i***t in this room,” Leia told me and I burst into laughter and started crying at the same time.

Blake froze on the spot trying to figure out my reaction. He hesitated to come closer to me.

“Natalia? Baby, please talk to me,” he pleaded, but I couldn’t control myself. I stopped laughing and continued crying. My whole body shook from sobbing. My hormones were playing tricks on me, and it was not the right time. I wanted to teach Blake a lesson for being so ignorant, but all I did was cry.

I watched Natalia cry, unable to stop her. All I wanted to do was go to her and help her, but I knew she would reject me and things might get worse. Mine and Aries’s behaviour hurt my lovely wife and her wolf, and I had to figure out how to make her and Leia forgive us.

Leia’s words confused me. Why was Natalia’s wolf feeling unwell?

Not caring that Natalia or Leia could hear me talk to Aries, I spoke to my wolf.

“Aries, what did Leia mean? Why is she feeling sick? Did anything happen to her and has it affected Natalia as well?”

My wolf kept quiet for a moment and then cursed loudly inside my mind.

“ Fuc.k Blake. I think I messed up big time, man!”

“Aries, what is it? What have you done this time? Tell me, for crying out loud,” I urged my wolf, and he hesitated to reply.

“Have you noticed anything strange about Natalia, Blake?” Aries returned the question to me.

I thought for a moment and then replied to my wolf.

“Her scent seems stronger and more appealing to me. It seems to be a mixture of mine with hers. I found it hard to control myself and couldn’t avoid kissing her when she opened her eyes. The need to touch her and make her mine was much stronger than before.”

“I honestly don’t know what got into me these days, Blake. Everything is so confusing in my mind. I am sure of one thing, though. Natalia is pregnant with our pup. That’s why Leia attacked me the way she did,” Aries breathed heavily in dejection.

“What? Aries, we are fuc.ked. How do you expect Natalia and Leia to forgive us? That’s the second time you messed up, wolf. How could you not notice that from the moment I hugged Natalia, man? Think of how to make them forgive us because my mind has stopped functioning,” I told my wolf and rushed to my wife’s side.

Taking Natalia in my arms, I caressed her hair and tried to calm her down. My heart leapt in my chest thinking about that tiny life that was waiting for the right time to come out into the world.

“Baby, I am so sorry. I keep messing things up for us lately. I know what happened with Emma is unforgivable, but please forgive Aries and me. There is no excuse for the way he behaved, and I blame myself for getting involved with a female like Emma in the first place.”

Natalia had stopped crying and seemed calmer in my arms. Holding her tightly, I whispered, kissing her on her marking spot,

“I am so happy to have you in my life, baby. Happy and blessed by our Moon Goddess. I love you so much, Nat.” And then I continued, “Natalia, is our baby all right?”

My wife looked at me, startled by my question.

“You know?” she whispered, and I smiled at her, kissing her forehead and placing my palm protectively on her belly.

“Aries might be in slow mode these days, but he finally realised what Leia was trying to tell him. Thank you, baby. That’s the best news I have had in the last few days,” I replied, and Natalia smiled shyly at me.

“You are the one in slow mode,” Aries growled and took charge without notice.

“Natalia, can I please talk with Leia? Will you allow her to step forward?” he pleaded with my wife.

“Yes, Aries. But Leia is not as easy-going as me, especially now. So, think twice before opening your mouth,” my wife warned my wolf dryly before giving Leia her position. She still hadn’t forgiven Aries for the way he had behaved with Emma.

“Leia?” Aries was hesitant, not knowing how to begin. I watched as Natalia’s eyes glowed, showing that Leia had taken over.

“What?” Leia replied rudely and Aries gulped.

“Baby, please let me explain why I reacted that way with Emma,” Aries said, but Leia stooped him.

“Don’t you baby me, mutt! For Moon Goddess’s sake, what kind of werewolf are you, Aries? You couldn’t even tell the b***h was lying to your face, and you caused a raucous hurting my Natalia so much. You are unforgivable,” Leia growled at my wolf.

“Leia, I don’t know what got into me that day. I just thought that an innocent life was not to blame for the adults’ mistakes, although the fear that Emma’s words were true pierced my soul like a sharp knife. I didn’t want to cause you and Natalia any pain because of Blake’s and my irresponsible behaviour in the past. I never thought Natalia would hear me saying that and misunderstand my words,” Aries apologized and I saw Natalia’s eyes glow, and a sweet smile appeared on her face.

Wow! Was that my cocky wolf talking? When did he learn to be such a sweet talker? Leia seemed convinced by his words.

“Shut up, Blake!” Aries growled, mind-linking me. “Do you want Leia to get furious again? Because if she does, nothing can save your a*s or mine from her fury,” my wolf whined.

“Nice puppy! So obedient and clever. Keep it that way, Wolfie,” Leia mocked Aries and started laughing uncontrollably, satisfied with how my wolf reacted.

“Sh.it, Blake. She heard me say that, right?” Aries asked, and we both realised what the future held for us with Natalia and her wolf.

“Good boys,” Leia praised us and continued laughing.
