Luna's Rejected Vengeful Mate -
Luna’s Rejected Vengeful Mate Chapter 61
The Dinners Inn Motel, California
Natalia
Not caring about Blake’s image, I rushed to him and slapped him hard in the face. He stopped yelling and looked at me, stunned. Before he had the time to react, I turned to Massimo.
“I, Natalia White-Hunter, Luna of the Dark Moon pack, reject you, Massimo Azzarello, Alpha of the Moon Howlers pack.”
Massimo clutched his chest, locked eyes with me and smiled.
“I Massimo Azzarello, Alpha of the Moon Howlers pack, reject you Natalia White-Hunter as my mate,” he replied.
I felt uncomfortable as my baby kicked in my stomach and started moving around like crazy. I turned to my husband, pulled him closer and shut his big mouth with a dominating k**s, trying to ease the pain Massimo’s rejection would cause me.
Strange!
Although Massimo had rejected me too, I didn’t feel the shattering pain that should have followed. All I could feel were the electric waves running through my body when Blake returned my k**s and I heard Leia call Aries her mate in my head.
Blake pulled back in astonishment, holding me by the shoulders.
Somewhere outside, along with the rustling sound of the tree leaves, the sound of a gurgling laugh sent shivers down my spine, and a whispering melodious voice spoke.
“Everything happens for a reason. You must learn to appreciate what you have before losing it forever. That should teach you all a moral lesson, my children. Cherish your loved ones and never hurt them on purpose. You can change your destiny if your love is pure and healthy. You have broken a bond to save two families. And I wish to reward you for that. ”
Blake and I froze, and so did Massimo. Was that our Moon Goddess talking to us?
“Mate,” Leia whined again and I gave Blake a shy smile.
“Mine!” he replied, and his husky voice gave me goosebumps all over.
Another growl, a sensual one, escaped my husband’s throat when he realised that he and I were true mates and his eyes darkened to the deepest blue.
“Mate,” we heard Massimo say.
Blake and I turned and saw Massimo holding a confused Elisa in his arms, kissing her with passion.
Elisa had frozen in Massimo’s arms, trying to figure out what had just happened. She couldn’t hear the Moon Goddess’s voice and seemed lost.
None of us got the chance to explain to her because Drake barged into the room all flushed and aggressive.
“What the hell do you think you are doing, Blake? Your growling has caused a ruckus in the motel. Good thing Teresa is not here. She went out with Tia and will be back in two hours. You’d better clear up the mess you created here and leave as soon as possible.”
Blake didn’t like the way Drake spoke and moved toward his brother. Knowing what was to follow, I pulled him back.
“Drake is right, Blake. We didn’t think about Teresa. What if she was here when you entered the room? We would carelessly have revealed our identities and our plan would have failed. We don’t want that, do we, baby? Plus, we should be happy with the way things turned out, not aggressive,” I said playfully and winked at my husband.
My touch calmed my husband’s raging heart and he smiled at me.
“Okay, Drake. Give us some time to figure out things between ourselves and we will go,” Blake told his brother. He didn’t want to tell Drake what just happened. He didn’t trust him enough.
“Okay, but don’t take too long. And leave through the back. Don’t show your faces at the reception. What if they come back sooner?” Drake left after expressing his worries.
I could feel everyone’s awkwardness in the room. My ability to read their minds was handy once more. And Elisa was an open book to me.
“Thank you, my Goddess. Thank you for saving my relationship with Blake and for giving me Elisa as my mate, although I have been a jerk towards her from the beginning. I wish to thank you for giving me a second chance in life. Onyx and I promise to treasure my mate and my family for as long as I live.”
Massimo was so sincere and happy and I felt tears well up in my eyes and a knot in my throat made it difficult for me to speak.
Sensing my discomfort, Bake held me closer to his heart and mind-linked me.
“Baby, please forgive me for being such an a*s to you at the beginning. I love you. Because in the heart of winter, you brought a beautiful summer into my soul. You raised feelings inside me that I thought I would never feel. You embraced me and put up with what I am. And now, I reveal myself to you, because you have become my new life.
How I need to be alone with you right now. How my soul longs for you, baby. I’d like you to know the little death I experience every time you tell me you belong to me and run your hands through my hair. And in those moments, I’m not afraid of anything.
I love you, Natalia. Because of you, my best self has come to the surface. You are already flowing inside my b***d; you are inside my every cell. You are like the sun that shone through the veil of clouds and filled all my cells, my whole being. I love you, baby and I couldn’t wait for us to be alone to express my feelings to you.”
I never expected my husband to confess like that and I couldn’t stop myself from crying my eyes out. I held him tight and let all my hidden sorrow of the past surface. His warm and tight hug purified my soul and all the bad deeds held deep in my heart vanished.
“Next to you, I learned that love means to reject anyone else without a second thought because you and only you are more than enough for me. I love you, Blake. And I am so sorry Leia’s reaction hurt you so much.” I placed my head in the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent and calming my stormy hormones.
“I am sorry, Aries. I thought I could control myself when I met Massimo’s wolf, but the bond was too strong for me to resist. You had a mate before and you know how that feels. I never intended to hurt you that way. Please forgive me,” Leia whispered and Aries growled. He was still annoyed with her.
“Now is not the time. Let’s finish our mission and then we will talk, Leia. Not before that,” he replied coldly and for the first time I felt my wolf submit to Aries. I knew Aries would not spare her but he was right to feel that way and Leia could only accept it, being the culprit who caused the misunderstanding.
“Can someone please tell me what happened here? Natalia? Massimo? What changed between you from one moment to another? Why did you call me your mate, Massimo?”
Elisa’s voice brought Blake and me back to reality. Caught up in our feelings, we had forgotten about her and Massimo. Realising that they had been watching our interaction, I blushed with embarrassment. They didn’t hear what we said, but they were not idiots. Blake wrapped his arms around me and smiled at my friend.
“Our Moon Goddess wanted to teach us a lesson, Elisa. And her tricks affected you as well. She has allowed Natalia and Massimo to break their bond so he can be with you and me with Natalia without breaking up the families we have already built. Our actions convinced her of our love for you ladies. So nothing can stop you from being with Massimo anymore. And now if you’ll excuse me, I need to be alone with my wife for a while.”
Winking at Massimo, he took me by the hand and led me to the bedroom, closing the door behind us.
Elisa
I watched, confused as Blake took Natalia into the bedroom. What did he mean? In terms of werewolf relations, I was still ignorant. I locked eyes with Massimo and he smiled, helping me to the sofa. I thought he would sit next to me, but he surprised me by kneeling before me and placing his head on my swollen bump. The baby started kicking and Massimo pulled up my blouse before I had the chance to stop him and placed a k**s where the baby kicked.
Looking up, he gave me a sad smile. He held my hands and whispered.
“Honey, I am so sorry for the way Onyx reacted, hurting you when I realised Natalia was my mate. I never meant for it to be that way. It took me and everyone else by surprise. You are the one I love and I would never change that. But when it comes to the bond between werewolves, attraction is inevitable between mates and it’s very difficult to reject each other. Not everyone is like me and Natalia, sweetheart. From the very beginning, we both knew we could not be together. We needed time for our wolves to calm down and think reasonably.”
“Do you know how I felt when you claimed Natalia holding my hand, Massimo?” I couldn’t help the tears that flooded like a stream down my cheeks.
Massimo let go of my hands and pulled me into a hug. He wiped my teary face, while tears rolled down his. His fingers stroked my wet skin, caressing every corner.
“Elisa, baby, Onyx says he is so sorry for hurting you like that. It wasn’t intentional. And he feels so happy that our Moon Goddess has allowed me and Natalia to break the bond between us. You are the only woman we want to be with. Will you please forgive us and give our relationship another chance? Please?”
I looked at him and I could tell how sincere he was. His bond with Natalia wasn’t his fault in the first place. Placing my hand on my bump, I smiled and nodded. Massimo smiled and helped me up, hugging me carefully and placing a soft k**s on my lips.
Blake
I closed the door and pulled Natalia into my arms. I couldn’t hold myself back any longer. Holding her carefully in my arms, I k**s her like crazy and Natalia responded with the same passion. We kissed as if our lives depended on it. I let my tongue slip inside her mouth, gentle but demanding, and it was a completely new feeling for me. I could feel every inch of Natalia’s body fade into mine with that k**s.
I supported her so she wouldn’t lose her balance and free her mouth unwillingly. I shouldn’t force myself on her. Not tonight, not after what we’d been through today. Natalia needed a sober mind. We also had to tell Elisa about Teresa and our plan.
“Baby, we should head back to the living room. We need to talk to Elisa and our time is running out,” I reminded her and she looked at me, her face revealing her anticipation for more. I g*****d and kissed her hungrily.
“Don’t look at me like that,” I said breaking our k**s and placing her hand on my hardened cro.tch. “We can’t continue like this. Not here, baby.” I helped her with her messy hair and fixed her dress. There was nothing I could do about her crimson face though. I smiled feeling pleased with the effect I had on my mate and holding her hand we left the room to replace Massimo and Elisa in an intimate position.
Elisa hid her face in Massimo’s arms and he chuckled hugging her softly. I cleared my throat.
“Massimo, we need to rush things a little. Time is precious. Have you told Elisa about Teresa?”
“Teresa?” Elisa asked and by the look Massimo gave me, I realised she knew nothing.
Natalia stepped in. She was the most appropriate person to tell Elisa. She knew her better than Massimo and me.
“Lisa, we need to talk, sweetie. Come, let’s sit first.”
Elisa followed my wife and Natalia held her hand while talking.
“Liz, do you remember Teresa, Fabrizio’s daughter?”
“Yes, she committed suicide ten years ago,” Elisa replied her sharp eyes moving from Natalia to Massimo and me, a thoughtful expression on her face.
“Liz, Teresa did…”
“Tereza did not commit suicide,” Elisa interrupted Natalia and my mate nodded her eyes not leaving Elisa.
“And she is here in California,” Natalia added.
“Is she the same Teresa you all mentioned before? The one that’s staying in this motel?” Elisa asked and Natalia nodded.
“And why is she here? Does Fabrizio know?” Elisa seemed confused.
“He does,” Massimo intervened and moved to where Elisa was, sitting on her other side.
“And why isn’t he here? To see his daughter?” Elisa asked next.
“Sweetie, Fabrizio didn’t come because Teresa’s plans are evil,” Natalia replied and I saw Elisa squinting her eyes and looking at Massimo with suspicion.
“Meaning?” her voice was icy, void of any emotion. She was indeed a clever woman.
“Baby, Teresa found out about you and our baby and she flew here to replace you and …”
“Hurt me and the baby, right?” she cut Massimo off and he nodded in agreement.
“The hell she is.” Elisa was furious. Her face reddened with anger and Massimo held her in his arms reassuringly.
“And Fabrizio knows about this?” She knew the answer. I could tell that by the look on her face.
“He does, and he is against her actions, baby. He came with me because he is worried about you,” Massimo answered her question.
“Me?” her voice broke.
“Yes, Liz. Fabrizio will do anything to stop her,” Natalia chipped in and that was the last straw for Elisa.
“I suppose you three have made a plan to take the b***h down already. How do I fit into this plan?” Elisa had turned into a ruthless female in a split second. Natalia was right about her friend. She was fearless just like my wife.
Natalia explained the plan to her and I presented them with the vials of the antidote Dylan had given me.
“You must start taking them as of today,” I told them after I explained their use.
Elisa was the first to drink the liquid from her vial and Natalia followed.
“Let the fun begin. It’s a cat-and-mouse game and I am used to it. Let’s see who the mouse will be in the end”. Elisa’s voice was void of any emotion and Natalia agreed with a sardonic smile on her face.
Massimo and I exchanged proud glances. Teresa’s decision to take on the devil’s advocate was a huge mistake.
“Let the games begin,” we both replied and I called Drake asking him to come to the room. We needed to finalise the plan and put it into action.
