“Come on, Nat. You knew they had to go back, sweetie. It won’t be long until you see them again. They must be planning their wedding and I’m sure you and Blake will attend, right?” Elisabeth tried to soothe my mate.

“Yes, we will. I guess you are right, Ellie. But I will miss my friend. And now you are also leaving,” she cried.

“We won’t be far, Nat. The Moon Howlers pack is near. We will see each other often, right Blake?” Elisabeth turned to me for help and I hugged Natalia.

“Of course. Drake and I will continue the alliance your father and I signed. Besides, we are brothers and sisters. We will meet so often that you will be tired of each other,” I teased Natalia, wiping her tears.

She smiled at me and turned to her sister.

“When are you leaving?”

“Today,” Drake replied, placing the baby in his crib.

“Our fathers will come with us, Blake. Dad said he wants to spend more time with his friend and grandson,” Drake smiled.

“Why is everyone leaving today?” Natalia complained.

“Natalia, you need to rest. Our schedule was overloaded, physically and emotionally,’ said Elisabeth and continued packing.

“We all need to rest and regain our inner balance. Being separated will give us time to ourselves and our mates. You need that, trust me,” she added and Natalia nodded.

“Will you at least stay for lunch?” she asked and her sister smiled.

“Yes, we will leave after lunch. Dad and Alpha Elias are in their rooms packing,” she explained.

“Come on sweetie let me take you to our room and I will notify the cook about lunch,” I told my wife and we left her sister and Drake to continue packing their things.

“Timothy, look at me, man. I will owe you forever for choosing to save your Luna and our pup. But as you said, you are a doctor and your staff needs you right now. Lucas just mind-linked me; our scouts have found a wounded female in the woods. She has internal bleeding and they are afraid she won’t make it,” I informed him and left his house, not knowing if he would follow.

I got to the hospital and a few minutes later Timothy came after me.

“Where is she?” he asked the nurse and followed her to the surgery theatre.

Knowing that my friend was back, I left the hospital and went looking for my mate. I found her looking out of the window, deep in thought.

“Nat, food is ready. We should go downstairs, sweetie,” I hugged her from behind and Natalia rested her head on my chest. We stayed like that for a while and then I led her to the dining room, holding her hand.
