Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3190 Thirty Thousand Left

Upon entering the room, a warm sensation enveloped Gadel, causing his pale cheeks to flush.

He scanned his surroundings and realized the Witch Tower was nothing like he had imagined.

He had expected to see witch doctors with crazed looks in black robes, but the interior was surprisingly clean and organized. The test tubes were neatly arranged on a test tube rack on the table.

The notes filled with ideas were bound together.

He could even smell the fragrance of jasmine in the air.

"Elder Faustina, you were up early today." A woman in casual clothing approached the elderly woman to help her stand on her feet.

Faustina gently held the woman's hand and replied with a smile, "His Majesty is visiting us. As the most senior in the tower, I have to welcome him."

The young woman paused, finally noticing Gadel who trailed behind them. "Greetings, Your Majesty. Please forgive your humble subject for not being able to bow."

"It's fine." Gadel waved his hands in dismissal. He looked at Faustina curiously, wondering about the elderly woman's true identity.

As if sensing his thoughts, she introduced herself without looking back. "I'm just a cook. As I age, I can't do much else. I'm just a freeloader hanging around here." She seemed smaller when she shared her story, her voice tinged with loneliness.

The young woman disagreed with her. "Elder Faustina, everyone treats you like family. You're never an outsider!"

Looking at the girl who corrected her sternly, Faustina held her hand and comforted, "You're right. I shouldn't have said that. Forgive me, Bertha."

Watching the heartwarming exchange ahead, Gadel asked, "Are you tight on money?"

He remembered allocating 3 million in funds to Witch Tower since he ascended the throne. Even though it wasn't much, he couldn't imagine the witch doctors having financial problems either.

Bertha snorted. "Right. We aren't tight. Your Majesty, you should reduce next year's allocation from 30 thousand to 3 thousand,

Swne we-"

Faustina gently pulled her hand to stop her from finishing her sentence. She seemed to realize what she said was inappropriate, so she fell silent.

Gadel's eyes were blown wide in shock by the revelation. It should have been 3 million, but the witch

Deep regret rose inside him as he realized the officials were unafraid of him.

As time passed, the group arrived at a door.

Faustina turned around and told Gadel, "Your Majesty, my job is done. Lady Clementine is waiting inside."

He nodded and gently knocked on the door.

"Come in."

He pushed open the door to replace the owner of the Witch Tower, Dorothy Clementine, reading a book behind her office desk. She was slightly surprised to replace her visitor to be the king. Then, she put the book aside and bowed to him. "Your Majesty." Gadel felt bad when he saw how tired the middle-aged woman was.

Finally, he began, "I just learned from a girl that your annual budget has been cut down to 30 thousand."

Her gaze darkened before she bowed again, saying, "Your Majesty, please forgive the child. She didn't mean to offend you." Staring at the woman, he said remorsefully, "I actually allocated 3 million to you."
