"You also can not deny how confident I am." He added, still on about his Moon Goddess given endowments which were true but I would rather have my tongue pulled out of my mouth than let him know. Baron was the typical arrogant guy you could not help but still admire, not just because he was good-looking and had a charming, bad boy smile. But for the single fact that he was loyal to the end.

Standing up for me when he did not even know me, defending me against bullies and even calling his brothers out on how unfair they treated me. I felt safe with him, maybe I should show him the message. I sighed, maybe I should not. That might be a bad idea. I should probably replace out who this person was, do what they asked me to do.

Maybe Alpha David was not aware of my wolflessness, hence the reason this person was threatening me with it. And though mom knew, Alpha David would take it out on mom. I did not want mom to go through what she went through when she was pregnant with me, and even as I got older. We had...

The door opened breaking my thoughts and shoving them temporarily to the back of my mind. There were two maids. They both carried trays of food, I immediately raised my head. "What is happening? Why two trays?" I turned to Baron, passing him an accusing look but he barely paid me any mind.

"Food is here." Was all he said, his eyes on the two maids, eagerly anticipating when the food would be dropped before him.

As soon as his own tray was dropped before him, he did not hesitate to dig in. A tray was dropped before me. Both maids bowed before us. "Your Highnesses."

I frowned. "Wait."

The two girls paused and stood watching me. "Anything else you want, Your Highness?" The one who had placed the food before me asked. "But I did not ask for food." I told her.

The two maids exchanged confused glances, then at Baron who waved them away, they were about to leave when I called them back. "I'm to trouble you but I did not ask for food. I'm not hungry, at least not yet. Come take the tray away." The one who had served me came forward to take the tray, but froze when she met Baron's glare. I punched him. "Stop intimidating her, you bully." To the girl, I insisted. "Please take the tray away."

"Do not touch that tray..." Baron's authoritative voice warned.

"Pay him no mind, this food was meant for me, was it not?"

The girl nodded. "Yes, Your Highness."

"Then take it away."

She slowly came forward, her gaze stealthily on Baron's face whose focus was on his food. She carried the tray and was about to leave.

"If you do not want to spend the next seventy two hours in the cell, return that tray and get out."

The girl now had confusion written on her face, she even looked like she was about to cry. Feeling pity for her, I beckoned on her. "Bring the food. I'm sorry for the troubles, okay?"

The girl smiled in appreciation at me and quickly fled the room with her friend. I turned a glare at Baron, he said nothing. Miffed, I tore a piece of roasted lamb and threw it at him. I did not know how he was able to catch it so perfectly, he winked at me and threw the piece into his mouth.

Next, I scooped little water with my soup spoon and splashed at him. The small drops clung to his hair and trickled down, still, he did not mind me. I pushed the tray away from me and made to lie and possibly replace sleep. "Get up." "No." I refused. "Get up." He infused authority in his words.

"Or what? I'll spend one week in cell?" My back was to him. He wanted the tray, he had to eat the food in it.

"Something worse."

I mock shivered. "See I'm shaking, Baron. I'm so scared." Ordinarily, I would be scared of him but I knew he would not hurt me. He would not do anything harsh to me.

He did not reply, I wondered what was wrong but then again, I thought he might have gotten my point and let me be. He was a food person, a glutton. He would be able to finish both trays. He had done it before and he could still do it again. I was expecting the usual teasing from him later on but what I was not expecting was the water poured on me. "Oh my goodness!" I quickly rolled off my bed so he did not wet my pillow and bed. Thank the Moon Goddess I did not spill the contents of the tray meant for me on the bed. My legs had missed it, barely.

"Stand up from there, you crazy girl."

"You're the crazy one." I shot back at him, refusing to get up.

He was still stationed over me, the glass cup of water in his hands. He could drench me and the floor for all I cared. I would dry my hair and clothes. I could ask a maid to mop the floor dry. Easy. But I was not hungry, that was it. That text was still nagging the back of my mind.

The next thing he did made my eyes widen in shock. He picked me off the floor which was an easy feat for him, pushing my untouched tray far from my kicking legs, he placed me on the bed. He sat atop me and began picking food from my tray and stuffing them in my mouth.

I tried to buck and fight but I was no match for him. Not having any choice, I relaxed and accepted the food begrudgingly. A wicked thought coming into my head, as he plucked grapes and stuff in my mouth, I spat them at him. "Stop that." He growled when one hit him on the bridge of his nose.

"No." I grinned evilly.

"No, eh?" A mischievous smirk came upon his face.

"No." I repeated, knowing the worst he could do was to keep force feeding me.

"Brace yourself."

But before I could actually understand what he'd said and the meaning, he dipped his head and captured my lips.
