Today, she came to know that Theodore had opened a company under Liara’s name, LIA Jewelers Ltd. It wasn’t that she was keeping an eye on Theodore or stalking him; she learned about this when his marketing team approached her for an advertisement shoot.

It looked like he didn’t care about her at all. The hope of having him back one day shattered all of a sudden. She felt like she was waiting for the ship at the airport.

The pain was unbearable, and she didn’t want to feel it, so she kept drinking until she stopped feeling any pain. She wasn’t surprised when she landed at Wylder’s place, even when her mind had stopped working.

“I will kill that bastard.”

“No!!” Tiara shook her head, and tears rolled out of her eyes. “Please don’t. I promise I won’t do anything like this again. I promise.’ She promised, and more tears rolled out of her eyes with the thought of someone hurting Theodore.

“What an irony, Wild!! There are a lot of people who love me and want me, but the only person that I want doesn’t want me at all.” She muttered, and Wylder nodded his head and looked at her red eyes, wondering why she couldn’t see how much he loved her.

With that, though, Wylder opened his eyes and saw her cheeks. He wished he would have the power to heal, but healing others wasn’t his element. His element was air, which could take the form of a storm in anger.

He felt Tiara’s eyes on him again. He didn’t dare to look into her eyes because their close proximity was invading his senses. Not just that, everything she was whimpering and hissing meant she was coming closer to him; their knees were touching against each other while she clutched his shirt.

He so much wished for all his clothes to disappear in that way; their knees could have rubbed against each other without any material between them, and she would have held his naked chest every time she was whimpering in pain.

He made eye contact with her and found her extremely close to him.

F**k!

They shouldn’t stay this close. In fact, there was no need to stay this close.

‘What is going on in your mind, Ara? Are you planning to k**s me like some hero k****s his heroine?’ He asked himself that and kept looking away from her again. Maybe he was thinking too much, and in case whatever he was thinking was right, he should wait to see what happens.

Now, he started ignoring her and controlling his beast at the same time, who wanted to jump out and k**s her.

In the next minute, he felt her palm over his chest.

Something was definitely going on in her mind. Should he stop it? Because whatever it was, it wasn’t because of love.

Maybe attraction or a way to forget her pain

He wanted to make the decision but couldn’t. He was failing to do anything. After a long wait, Tiara made some moves. She was crossing her border of friendship, and he wanted that to happen. Speaking anything at this moment meant reminding her about the friendship border. The ship that sailed in this direction didn’t want to check its route.

She wasn’t coming close to him because she was drunk. She knew what she was doing.

“Wild..” She whispered his name to make him look at her, and he did.

His grey eyes!

She shook her head and tried not to think about the man who was the reason for her pain. She forced his image away from her mind and looked at the man who was always there, thick and thin. She couldn’t love anyone, but she could keep things casual, right?

She leaned toward him and pressed her lips against his.

That was it; Wylder didn’t waste a second in returning the favor.

It was a slow and gentle k**s. His hand left the icepack and moved to wrap around her waist. He used his other hand too and pulled her into his lap from the bed; accidentally, his hand touched her naked a*s under the t-shirt that she was wearing.

He was quick to remove his hand from there and place it on her waist. None of them dared to break the k**s throughout the time until Tiara’s body stiffened as if she had realized that she would end up ruining everything with her best friend with this casual thing. She already knew that he used to like her once. If the feeling would get involved, then… then they would end up losing each other.

Anyone but him.

She pulled herself away from him. She felt his reluctance to let her go. But being the gentleman that he was, he didn’t force her.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have crossed my line.” She muttered, not looking into his gray eyes, which she was sure were digging a hole in him. These words broke Wylder’s heart because all he could smell was regret.

She was regretting this.

She was regretting kissing him.

“Not a big deal. Nowadays, these things are common.” He said, plastering a fake smile on his face.

Hearing this, she looked at him firmly and saw him acting casually. “Still, it shouldn’t have happened between us.”

“I should be leaving now,” Tiara muttered, changing the topic when she looked at the time. She would also have to see how she was going to hide this mark from her face.

“Yeah! Me too!!”

They both looked into each other’s eyes for the last time because Tiara walked out of the room.
