Chapter 1778 This Is Your Only Way

Gideon's words settled in the room.

The private room suddenly became silent, with only the heavy breathing of two angered men filling the space.

Until...

Athena overturned her coffee cup, producing a crisp clinking sound and her laughter.

Gideon silently looked at Athena.

Fred, on the other hand, watched with furrowed brows.

"You two are hilarious." Athena said, shaking her head. "Poor Sally, having to deal with the likes of you."

Her cold gaze landed on Fred. "What do you think you are? Just because you like someone, they must accept you. If they don't, they should endure your bullying and revenge for over a decade?" Knowing that Gideon's friends were following Fred and had bullied and ostracized Sally, Athena felt that Fred deserved hell.

"Others misunderstood Sally, but you're different." Athena's eyes filled with disgust. "You never cared about Sally's past relationships. You're just bitter that she would be with anyone but not you." "Enough!"

Fred roared.

The door was abruptly pushed open.

Dorian appeared and looked menacing.

"It's okay." Athena waved at him.

Dorian shot Fred a fierce glare, then politely closed the door behind him.

Fred's chest heaved angrily. "Athena, I asked for your help to resolve the conflict!"

Athena leaned back and looked amusedly at Fred. "Clearly, because of your actions, I can't resolve the conflict. In fact, I now want to get rid of you."

Fred sat down, overwhelmed. "I know I've been unreasonable, but I can't control myself. I feel guilty, but I'm filled with rage whenever I see Sally still entangled with Gideon!"

After saying this, Fred seemed afraid that Gideon would not believe it.

Fred looked at Gideon with bloodshot eyes. "Gideon, believe me, I no longer feel for her. I love my wife. You know that!"

"You want me to let you go?" Gideon asked.

"Yes!" Fred nodded, eyes still red. "If Sally agrees, I can apologize to her in person."

"I have one condition." Gideon emotionlessly said, "If you can do it, I'll back off."

"Tell me! Even if it's the hardest thing, I'll do it!" Fred eagerly responded.

"You don't need to do anything extreme." Gideon tilted Fred's head, faintly smiling. "I want you to get a divorce and never see your wife and child again." Athena was taken aback, looking at Gideon in disbelief.

Fred's smile froze, and the next moment, he grabbed a coffee cup and hurled it at Gideon.

Gideon didn't dodge.

The coffee cup hit him hard on the shoulder and shattered upon impact.

A shard cut his cheek and drew blood.

"Have you lost your mind?"

Fred shouted.

"You were fickle with Sally, lost her, and now you want others to lose their loved ones too? Gideon, are you crazy?"

"You're just realizing?" Gideon brushed off his shoulder. "This is your only way. The choice is yours."
