Chapter 2025 Why Did You Do That?

With the assistance of park security, Dorian managed to bring an unconscious Byron to land.

"I'll kill him!" Logan grabbed a stone at hand and was about to rush over.

But before he could make a move, Athena stumbled over to her side.

"Athena?" Logan was confused.

Byron wanted to kill her, so how could she...

"Byron!"

Athena rushed to his side and quickly assessed his breathing and pulse.

She began crying as she performed CPR and artificial respiration.

Logan was furious and wanted to pull Athena away from the man who had tried to harm her but was stopped by Mike.

While others were clueless about what had transpired, Mike knew the truth.

"What are you doing?!" Logan glared at Mike.

Mike's gaze at Logan was solemn. "Mr. Shawn, please refrain from causing any trouble for now. The situation is far more complicated than it seems." "He wants to harm Athena! It's that obvious! If I hadn't followed her and if she was alone..." Logan trailed off, feeling overwhelmed.

Athena had been in dangerous situations before, but Logan had never felt such fear until now.

At that moment, Byron stirred awake and gulped down some water, his gaze resting on Athena.

She was completely soaked from head to toe and tears streamed down her face.

It reminded Byron of a similar moment from many years ago when she stood before him, smiling, which was a stark contrast to her current demeanor.

"Babe..."

As he tried to speak, Athena interrupted him with a tight hug, breaking down into sobs.

Byron's entire body froze, and he glanced towards Dorian, who refused to meet his eyes.

Surveying the place once more, what had happened was a blur in his mind.

All he could recall was that something had happened to the child.

Confused and uncertain, Byron knew from Athena's emotional outburst that he had caused significant trouble.

"Byron, why did you try to kill my sister? Why did you do that?"

Logan broke free of Mike's grasp and charged towards Byron.

These words struck Byron like a thunderbolt, leaving him completely taken aback.

"What are you talking about? That's outrageous!" Byron's expression suddenly became cold and serious.

"Logan, go home." Athena looked at Logan with red eyes. "I will explain to you later. Now, go home!"

"I can't let you stay alone with him. I won't leave," Logan argued.

"Please, I'm begging you." Athena looked at Logan with pleading eyes.

Logan was taken aback by her unusual display of emotion.

He felt his heart skip a beat and panic set in.

"Okay, I'm going home. You don't cry. I'm going home now!"

Athena tenderly ran her hand over Byron's neck, closed her eyes in pain, and laid down her head.

"Mr. Shawn, Dorian, and I shall escort her. Everything will be okay." Mike comforted Logan in a hushed tone.

Logan responded dully.

He glanced at Athena again, turned around, and left.

"What happened?" Byron panicked completely. "Did I do something to you?"

His nerves were suddenly frayed as he asked, "He has been here, hasn't he? He injured you, didn't he? My love, show me where you are hurt?"

"It's okay. It's okay." Athena hugged Byron tighter. "Don't be afraid. Let's go to the hospital first. You just drowned."

Athena's heart broke.

"No, show me where you're hurt. I..."

Before Athena could respond, Byron observed the bruise on the side of Athena's neck.
